I was born again in 1998, I told a dude in a Christian store I liked alternative rock, gave me this CD, amazing.

I wish I was more into Christian music when I was younger because this would’ve uplifted me so much in my darkest times.I love God so much and I’m so happy to be a daughter of the most high

this is the first time I have heard this song. there are no memories for me. the following is not directed at you, just a comment about music and society. Music seems to be in some time period. in people 's minds. just in society. Its just alive today and relevant today as it was in the time it was made. the bible was written over 2 thousand years ago.

Used to have the chronology album with DVD. The DVD told their story!! They played this after saying the guitar player joined the band and it was like Eddie Van Halen had joined them!!😂😂

@Jay Royce I know I recently repented of my blasphemies and persecution of the Christian faith., I started praying to Christ for forgiveness and mercy, and a redirection of the intents of my heart and mind. I believe he's working in my life as we speak. Nearly 20 years of denying that Christ even existed as a human being has turned into daily prayer to that very person.

As a Christian, I'm just really glad you're enjoying this song.

No other group comes closer to the real meaning of praise and worship to the lord almighty than any other group I know of, past and present. Their soulful, deep meaning lyrics and sound gives it all to the true meaning of worship. All their songs tackle various topics of all of our lives and make you want to fall to your knees. God bless all of them.

Following an example of a life without sin, learning to live my life loving anyone despite what they do to me or my friends, learning to be humble instead of arrogant and full of greed and lust and anger. The buddhists believe you have to separate yourself from your desires and be without desire, but christian people. We believe that if you do that you nevere truly live. At least this way, when I die I'll die believing my life meant something and that people loved me and I loved them,

this is the band i have seen in concert the most! and i do like secular music to but there songs just speak to my heart!

This song and video blew me away! This reads like a psalm. The video seems to be a metaphor for the desolate waste and darkness that consumes our world, and the darkness of the souls of the lost. But God's "Consuming Fire" can awaken our spirits, bringing us light and life in abundance, and burn away the corruptness of the world that we've stored within. He burns it away like wood over an intense flame.

Betty, I never get tired of 3rd day, especially when , Mac , during one of the concerts told the audience to pray, that the concert wasn't about 3rd day, or he himself, but the whole thing is to lift up Jesus and draw close to our God, Jesus Christ the righteous King. I love the way Mac's voice matured into the voice that God had already planned for it to be. The biggest and most important thing to occur was when Mac had conviction enough to not sell out to the music glorifying the world,or in other words Mac resisted the enemy, ( Satan).

The most defining song of ThIrd Day career they just signed with reunion records in 1995 and their debut album came out in the spring of 1996 consuming fire and adding Brad Avery in the band was a game changer this song was filmed at salt and Sea in California

Of the many songs from ThIrd Day i heard in the 1990's none as big as consuming fire this song put Third day on the map adding Brad Avery was a game changer

I wish Mac and the lads would go back to this type of rock.Ballads are fine but not whole albums full.This type of southern rock is what got me to liking them in the first place.

not trying to get into religious battle with you but even Jesus in the text that he wrote if you have a Bible it's in red lettering Jesus said not to worship me stand up he wanted you to worship God first he was just an instrument of voice the hand of God he was there to touch people's souls in the teach them that there's something greater than us oh how he is greater than oh how much greater he is in a that's why it says our Father who out in heaven hallowed be thy name.

These guys were so badass!!! This album is one of my all time favorites by anybody, any genre... Much Afraid by Jars if Clay is a fantastic Christian album too. But these guys, man oh man!!! We should be His vessel to have the consuming fire. I prayed at the age of 18 for many years to be God's vessel. Ezekiel chapter 3 talks about the spirit entered into him. He received God's spirit. I do not understand the reason for your ?...I am terminally ill...maybe I did not make sense to you as I was commenting to the vocalist who sang the song...maybe I was in a lot of pain, which can interfere w/my concentration! Maybe I misunderstood the lyrics as I interpreted them to be about the latter days as so outlined in GOD'S WORD, the book of Revelations! I have memory issues due to the meds..and the illness I can only pray will go into remission! As well...the singer's vocals are quite comparable to PHIL COLLINS OF GENESIS!!! I am from Atlanta (Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area) born and raised with exception to 1/3 of that time being in Florida. I was in the music bz here for yrs but had to get out of in 93. I did play keys and write lyrics as well as vocals...but I was relearning the vuitar from a google friend.
