Seeing you say "quitting", I first gasped, and then took several moments to reflect on what your channel has meant to me. What you have done here has given me such joy and appreciation for all that the Amalfi Coast is and will forever mean to me. My wife and I stayed in Praiano for 5 days in May, 2015. We both agreed that the greatest single day of our married life was our first full day on the Amalfi Coast when we walked Sentiero degli Dei from Praiano to Positano. Little did we know what the future would hold immediately after we returned home. I learned upon my return to work that I had been laid off after 21 years with my company (the announcement was made while I was still on vacation). Then, in March of 2016, at age 48, my wife was diagnosed with a rare cervical cancer. She died 8 months later. When COVID hit two years later, one of my only refuges was your KZread channel. It helped me relive what was without question one of the happiest times of my life, something I was (and am) no longer able to do with her. I have found it impossible to impress on people how important and sustaining my memories of our Amalfi Coast vacation are. It was the pinnacle of our life together, and to lose all that I knew and treasured about my life in the few short months that followed, I will simply never understood. Thank you with all my heart, Nicki, for the gift that is the memory of the best week of my life with my best friend and soulmate, my late wife Rhonda. Steve Johnson

Thank you Steve for your story. It bought me to tears as I know exactly what you are talking about. From 1992 I lived in London with a Jewish lady who loved Italy. We travelled together to Venice and to Amalfi. It was the happiest time of my life and I would dearly love to return. However watching the Positano Diaries are a weekly connection to happiness. Blessings to you Steve.

Nicki is very English even though she has lived in Italy so long. Also she is from a filming professional family whose standards were probably very high. There is room for both of you on the diaries and in fact it enhances them having such different people presenting it. The best is when you hug each other and show everyone you are in love. Your drone shots are amazing so you have a good skill there Carlo. We love you both and it doesn't matter to me what language you use. Just thank you both for sharing with us. 😍

Carlo’s mother is beautiful. She reminds me of my mom when we got her ready for a special occasion. She enjoyed being pampered and felt beautiful. As she said, these women grew up in an era where makeup and fussing over themselves was definitely not a part of their lives. Taking care of family was always more important. ❤.

Wow she looked so beautiful. I loved how natural she looked not too made up. The food was fabulous. When I was in Italy, I was so surprised how much I ate and drank and never gained a pound. Fresh foods and no preservatives. The US is trying to kill us with all the chemicals. Hard to avoid all of them but I try.

I got a minor in Italian in college, and I did a semester abroad in Firenze, so it’s a delight to listen to you speak English. You’re very good! Don't stress Carlo. You are you and doing just fine. When you speak some English it is great, and when you chat away in Italian with subtitles that is also great. You bring your own unique personality to the videos. You create beautiful drone footage too. And Nicki, you are you and have your own great way of making videos. My Sunday tradition is “travelling to Positano “ after we have lunch. I absolutely love today’s video. I think we got two for the price of one! I put the automatic english subtitles because I can understand english. I don’t know if KZread lets me put spanish subtitles. Never tried. But I would watch it even without sound. Like the new introduction and enjoyed the soap tutorial and loved Carlos video…his English is amazing and the views from his walk just stunning. Holly is amazing walking for miles and it was lovely seeing her lying with Indy all cosy….love the doggies and bath time for Holly. I loved your video Carlo. I love the scenery. I got to come to Positano twice back in the 2000's. I met a wonderful Italian gentleman named Carlo also and had a very romantic time with him. We rode on his scooter from Sorrento where he lived and still does, and hiked down to the D'Adolfo Beach I believe it was called. Then I took a boat back to town. Every time I see your beautiful town those wonderful memories come back. I am 76 now so will not be coming back again. I will relive through your wonderful videos. And your English is awesome. I love your home and looking forward to how you decorate your other home in Tuscany. Nikki your soap looks fabulous. I will need to order some when it is back in stock. Keep doing videos Carlo. Carlo, you're just as charming speaking broken English or romantic Italiano. Nicki has taught me a lot about cooking Italian style and I love how you work together and you're considerate of each other and accommodating to your kids in having time with their mama and papa. I wish I could speak Italian I love Italy, particularly Positano and Tuscany. As I am disabled, I get to experience these places with the two of you. And every now and then I can understand a word here or there in Italian, as I'm from South Florida so I know Spanish and they are both Latin based languages. I love watching you make the soap and other things you do. Tending the olive trees and gardens. It's life the way life was meant to be.

I noticed when you were taking drone footage that Indy, when she is in the lead, will stop about every 20 feet and look back to make sure you are still there and not get to far ahead of you and Holly. How sweet is that! You have done a good job of training her.
