If you have more than one RAM stick, try running just one, etc. Look at the CPU and CPU socket to determine if a pin is bent or if something looks off. Try another power supply if possible. Check the voltage reading of the CMOS battery if you can. Swap out the peripherals if you can, in the odd chance your keyboard or mouse cables are providing a surge. That may assist in bringing temps down, but I don't know that the GT 1030 will get very hot in the first place. To the point where overheating is at risk.

@@gajowyrozetko9178 Fair enough, thanks for sharing! If you like, you could modify your original post to better clarify. That would be awesome. Otherwise people might get the wrong idea when looking for helpful advice. I appreciate you sharing, but the original post isn't as specific as your follow up. What GPU, under what circumstances will it get hot, why you might recommend this, etc.

That's not too bad. What did it come with for RAM, SSD/HDD, CPU?

@@HaisteComputerRepair I bought one in February for $80.00 CAD. (as we speak there is one for sale online within pickup distance for $80.00) It came with a monitor, keyboard, mouse; RAM 16gb, SSD 240gb, cpu i5-4570. (I added an M.2sata card in the PCIe slot, for OS; plugged the DVD into eSata socket.) The real improvement to m93p would be the modifying of the BIOS, so it would boot from an NVMe card in the PCIe slot. It can be done, and was done, but it is not something I would attempt.

@@m93p That's odd, I must have missed the CAD after the price. Sometimes I skim through comments pretty fast before replying. Either way, $80 CAD is a great deal. Have fun with your system :)
