    I have one of these M93P desktops just sitting in my closet. You have inspired me sir. Now with the advent of Linux OS like Batocera, this would be an excellent option to make a cool gaming rig to bring back those old Gamecube, Dreamcast, Playstation and Xbox memories. Thanks so much!

    The M93p is a good deal on ebay, I just got one for US35 bucks shipped. I'm using it as a media center pc. I swapped out the HDD for an SSD (already had one) installed Windows, added an 8TB storage drive, an extra 8gig stick of ram (already had one) and a USB wifi dongle It works great and fits neatly on the shelf under my TV and matches my other black devices.

    Omg, I also upgrade my M93p with the same components that you used in yours, I even used the same case xD. With the difference that I added the Cooler Master i71c heatsink, if you use that PC for only gaming, I highly recommend it, the processor temperatures improve with that heatsink for an absurdly cheap price.

    What a timely video. I am doing something similar with an older Lenovo M82 with an i3 in it. I am going to place it into a nice HP tower I have cleaned up. Did you have any trouble with the IO shield? I see that it is somewhat proprietary how it is held in place in the Lenovo case. One additional step I did take is to lubricate the case and PSU fans to keep the noise down. Of course, my fans are not new like you have here.

  • @HaisteComputerRepair

    @HaisteComputerRepair

    There's no trouble fitting the I/O shield into a conventional tower case. Should be like any other. If a fan is noisy, I lubricate with some 3-in-1 oil. I've had some good luck bringing ceased fans back to life this way. Good luck with the M58!

    So long as your new case has a spot for the optical drive, it should be fairly straightforward moving it over. Removing the optical drive from the M91p case is easy, you just have to depress a switch and pull it out. You'll see. Just keep an eye out as many PC cases will not have a spot for the optical drive, it is becoming less common. Thanks for watching!

    The original SFF case can fit a "Low Profile" Graphics card, in which case you would not need a power supply upgrade. The SFF case does not have the space for a full sized ATX Power Supply. Think of everything being cut in half to fit in a small case. Here's an example of a GTX 1050 ti Low Profile Card, that would fit in the SFF case and not require power from a power supply: www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/zotac-gtx-1050-ti-low-profile.b4295

    It's a motherboard for a Lenovo Thinkcentre M93p. You can find them with that info alone on sites like eBay. I can't remember the specific model and I am unable to look as this PC has since been sold. Let me know what you're looking for and maybe I can help.

    @@AbdurRahman-wx9iw Oh, I wasn't aware the M93p shipped with AMD CPU's. In this case, you can pick a good AMD CPU, but not Intel. Can you confirm that it is from a ThinkCentre M93p?

    Great video, but why have your Cello or violin playing? I don't get it; I am not at a funeral.

    I wanted to set a dramatic tone for the video :) No reason, honestly.
