Forward facing eyes are from our ancestors who lived in trees. How else could they jump from branch to branch?

How we survived on a planet full of other predators was to just view everything else as potential food. Kinda hard to be scared of a hotdog after all.

Many animals have learned to fear us for various reasons . That's why you should make noise while in bear country, bears will avoid humans ,especially large packs of humans since we are more dangerous in packs .Same thing for wolves , they also naturally fear us. Many people have net mountain lions but never know that since mountain lions also naturally avoid us

@@KenanLaudat-tp3bp Where my family is from in the US it's pretty common for people to shoot bears to both protect livestock but also to make stew. I think it's a bit of both that we are dangerous pack hunters and tend to view even dangerous predators as potential food. Which is frankly kinda of horrifying to think about from the animals perspective or a possible alien perspective given how smart humans are. I don't blame other animals generally avoiding us.

Not only a good story, but also well founded on knowledge. And it seems that no AI was used for generating it. I am impressed!

Not really, human digestive tract says we didn't evolve eating plants, main source of calories were from animal fats and proteins, supplemented by plants. Humans lie between facultative carnivore and omnivore, however, we do not possess the ability to digest a good portion of carbohydrates like true omnivores and even less than herbivores.

@@nerofl89Do you think that's why baby food makes babies shit pure poison because we are basically feeding them poison?

@@nerofl89 When still living in the trees, we eat fruits, and as ripe fruits often are red, we still notice that color especially well. We can't digest cellulose, but other apes can't either. Chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans are "close relatives" and called omnivorous frugivores, so they eat mainly fruit. When we left the trees, meat was mainly accessible as leftovers (often not healthy anymore), but when we started hunting, we got access to fresh meat. Our eyes, capable of three-dimensional sight, were helpful in the trees, but now helped when hunting.

Both are true. We are hunter-gatherers, meaning that we both predate animals and eat plants - making us omnivorous predators (and, thousands of years ago, pray to some animals).
