Things Went Terribly Wrong.

from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who helped me. currently as I'm writing this, I have not made a personal donation to the groomer association who saved me, I want to be able to donate more then a couple dollars. I just wanted to be honest and say I haven't YET! but I will be sometime next week the second I get paid. with that being said, make sure to support your local groomers, they do a lot to make those trails possible and deserve all the credit they can get.
I will not sit here and give excuses, just make sure you watch this ENTIRE video to understand the circumstances before you judge. we're all human.

Hey Becca. I’m not sure if this would help you but I use Gaia app and it can really help with winter roads, public trails etc. you can download maps for offline use. Also does your truck have Apple play or the android version? If not then a simple phone mount would put your screen within easy viewing not requiring you to look down

Becca, we have all done things that we kick ourselves over. There are things that when I think about them even 20 years later, I still kick myself. Think of it this way and this is what I always remind myself of. If we went through life without making any mistakes or doing anything foolish, then we wouldn’t have anything to learn from. So every time you want to kick yourself just ask yourself, “Did I learn anything from it?” Absolutely nobody is perfect and if they think they are then they are someone to keep an eye on. Keep your chin up. You really didn’t do anything all that bad. It is what it is. You were in a strange area and made a wrong turn. It could have been much worse.

Becca, seriously, don't beat yourself up about it. I have done the same things over my years. Gotten stuck, gotten a work truck stuck miles from help, followed gps directions way off road to someone's house instead of the boat ramp i was supposed to go to. (That last one wasn't even that long ago!) 😆 I definitely learned from each of those, as i'm sure you did. And no one should give you any grief! Everyone does the same kind things, but most won't admit it, let alone film it and share it online!!! I was glad to see you pulled over when you were tired. That's something i almost learned the hard way. Thanks for posting and sharing! It takes a lot of guts to show when things go wrong. Put it behind you and look to new adventures. Glad everything worked out in the end and thanks again!!

I just recently started following you, due to the tiny house....I love all things tiny house related :) When I saw this video title, I was sure u were going to say something horrible happened and destroyed your tiny house.....(so glad I was wrong). As far as your turning on a wrong road and missing a sign..... I think u are being way too hard on yourself. Im a home health, travel nurse....meaning I not only drive to different states and areas that Im not familiar with.....But once Im there, I drive to people's homes all over these unfamiliar areas. I am occasionally paid for being lost...lol So its not hard for me to easily imagine your experience and how u accidently ended up on a wrong road, or a "snow mobile only road", (which I am not familiar with either) especially in those conditions. I truly believe it could have happened to anyone. I also understand the stress of driving while trying to listen to and trust a map that u arent feeling confident about what it is telling you to do, (because they often can be wrong and have been known to land people in very dangerous and even life threatening situations). Plus, I totally get the added stress of people being inpatient and honking from behind you, when you are already in an unsure situation. It can be extremely stressful and I now try to practice a little more patience with others because of it. Im so glad that super nice people helped you out of a bad situation. Hats off to them! And my only advice would be what my husband always fusses at me about, which is (if u dont already) to maybe always have a good old fashion paper map on hand and utilize it whenever you are in doubt. Im glad you are okay. And good for you for sharing something that you found embarrasing. But honestly, what happened to you, I truly do not think is so shocking, or says anything negative about you whatsoever. I know with social media there are some who seem to live to attack with their almighty keyboard, from the saftey of their screen. But I would give them no mind and just keep doing you!! Best of luck with your future adventures.

Great video. Keepin’ it real baby! To be honest, I had several major screw ups in my 20’s and more in my 30’s. Soooooo… I think that’s called life lessons. I lived very remotely a few years back and one of my friends came over for a few days. Snow, warm up, hard freeze and then she decided to drive home in that mess. Long story short, she got stuck and walked back for an hour. We had to drive back to her vehicle to get her stuff and cat out of her car before it froze. She was in her 40’s. Sooooo…. Hey. You are not alone. Hang in there!

Oh damn, Becca. So sorry all of that happened to you. I'm so happy you're safe and got home okay. There are good people in the world, they're just hard to find sometimes. Riley is a good friend, glad you surround yourself with good people. Just chalk it up to another crazy chapter in your adventure. Stuff happens, that's life, but you are safe and that's what is important. Don't be so hard on yourself. We got you! Remember that. Be good to yourself. 🎣💪🏻🏳‍🌈

I did mention on your previous video. Should of left it on your trailer. I had a feeling it was going to be an adventure trying to get it off the lake. God bless that you had some people to help u. I'm glad the other person got out of the lake.

Same thing happened to my buddy and me, we were out there for about 9 hours so of course I had to eat him. These little accidents just build character. Take it easy!

Dang...yeah, we all have bad days, but I hope this experience makes you better prepared for the elements you challenge yourself with. Chain's, a wench, sand or some floor mats to throw under your tires for traction next time you get stuck. Lol, maybe better tires. Glad you're safe and you do have pretty good adventures 🧡😊

It happens and you handled it, just fine. Life experiences will happen, that's how we learn. Even babies fall, trying to walk.
