    Nice practical review for everyday folks. It is evident that you Love the way it drives/ Handles. Mazdas (I've had 2 of them years ago) with their Zoom-Zoom have always been classified as The Poor Man's BMW . The 3.3 L TUrbo S engine is the way I would go - Premium Plus model is on my "short List" for replacing my 22 MDX Advance in August BUT the CX-70 [don't really need a 3rd Row].

    I decided to wait for Toyota to release the Plug In feature on the Sienna. I had some interest in the C-90 Plug in. It has so much of what I wanted. But I want a reliable vehicle that’s efficient and LASTs many many years without problems.

    I think it is beautiful inside and out. But just from a quick analysis if you check the market, you’ll see a lot of 2024 Mazda CX 90s on the market used with less than 6000 miles which draws a lot of suspicion and buyer concerns. If it’s such a great vehicle, why are so many people getting rid of it in the first year?

  • @RaceCarFriends

    @RaceCarFriends

    I think it's a combination of the first year issues most new vehicles have and some people have been upgrading to higher trim levels of the same CX-90.

    The first time we drove it to enjoy our new vehicle and hit a bump my kids asked if we lost or break something. Lack of suspension and horrible noises on bumps and joints (yeah, NYC is far from perfect but the previous Highlander was three heads above in terms of comfort). Other than that I like both the exterior and the interior, the engine and mileage, but the suspension is really a miss. And so is the steering - nice sportiness in city traffic is simply tiresome on a highway. I guess Mazda never heard of variable steering ratio. As well as of touchscreens (on a 50k suv….). Not to mention that the same screen in CX-50 is touch sensitive.

    I am looking at a CX-70 as well. It's the same as the CX-90 minus the 3rd Row (which despite this video, I haven't seen many people using a 3rd Row in my experience) but a little cheaper. Kudos to Mazda - a New Cx-70 Top of The Line Model {which is the way I'd go) Premium Plus will be circa $56-58K All In!! I have a 22 Acura MDX Advance lease expiring in August. A new MDX Type S for a 2025 (The new Acura finally got rid of the comfounding Touch Pad) will go for close to $78K. A Non Type S Advance (which has much lower HP / Torque than the Mazda 3.3 L Turbo), will be circa $68K. There are some feature comfort differences (Sound sytem superiority in Acura, Interior Light Show, and Massaging front Driver's seat) but that costs $10K More. If you buy the SV, Resale value goes to the Acura - best in the business pertaining to that.
