6 years actually. They announced it back in 2018 and I at first thought there is no way they would bring such an incredible show to live action only for me to wait 6 painful years for it to only be a 6/10. Why can’t nothing ever match my excitement???!!

Because you don't have realistic expectations and want a 1:1 recreation?

I couldn't even finish the series. All the exposition was just...painful and they cut so many plots. I know it isn't supposed to be a 1:1 recreation of the show but they could have made it flow better and feel more natural. Right now it just feels forced.

It felt like a play, it didn’t feel serious, the acting from some of the cast was just unbearable, the vfx looked INCREDIBLE but the cinematography and movements didn’t do it justice. Writing was also bad and I hate the way they wrote Azula and her acting is giving Disney channel. it needs to feel like an actual show. They should take notes from one piece or game of thrones and the OG avatar the last airbender 😂

I see your point, I didn’t even noticed those the first time I saw the show but now that you mention it, it’s no wonder something felt off as I watched the few episodes they made

As the hardcore fan of the original show since 00's, I'll admit that the Netflix adaptation is definitely an improvement upon the original in many, many ways, and the Live Action has made it harder for me to rewatch it. Netflix Avatar is anything I have wanted from season 1 ever since I was a kid - More worldbuilding, more lore, more info on the past Avatars, less of unnecessary and distasteful humor aimed at little kids, characters that are more grounded and are in touch with the reality of the situation.... And finally, opposite to the popular claim - Netflix shows more of what the original says, and Sokka's beautiful chemistry with Yue shows this

Firstly - Aang isn't flying, he is gliding, and by the reaction of his peers in that scene you can see it is something extremely rare that is probably only he can do. Next - The actresses for Mai and Azula both look great while also looking like teenagers, something the original show has forgot about. This show has one of the best CGI in terms of a TV Series...Just compare it to any CW show... And I really like this show's take on Katara...In the OG she was mostly an annoyingly fierce Mary Sue, while in this one she is a lot more modest and gentle, and her skills naturally develop over the course of the whole show

I don't think aang was flying in the first scene and mai own was actually painful 😭😂

Netflix wasn't parallel to the anime and was not as goodthe anime.which I have watched the anime a so many times because I'm in love with the anime. But. I still liked the netflix live action I think zuko ,Ang and ozai, uncle iron was played well.I agree with you with the other parts but I still want to see season 2 of the Netflix live action.

they made katara a weak water bender from the start and didnt show her TRAINING WATER BENDING AT ALL, and at the end shes somehow a master??, like uhmm how bad do you hate female charcter??, bc they gave sokka way more screen time, suki is a creep now?? like what?, azlua was never thinking she was weak at all in front of her father she doesnt mess up as seen she only missed 0.1% but in the live action she missed alot for no reason there is more but they ruined katara my fav charcter so 2.8/10 really bad barely finished i only finished cus i thought they whould make katara better since the finale was about her protecting aang and all but yeah i was wrong they just made her useless...

I gave my honest opinion. Show was great I only pin pointed the things that could have been better. Every movie or series has its flaws. I just added some humour to the video.

Film is an art form, saying criticism is mean is useless because all pieces of media are going to be criticised, if a show is bad its bad. People shouldn’t have to settle for mediocrity especially because its an adaptation of a nearly perfect show. Its the creators own fault its bad.
