Sometimes there are some things Scottish people cannot say... Like we just struggle... names like Carol, 'purple burglar alarm' 'Irish Wrist watch' and of course anything nice about the English...

The issue with the words "Irish wrist watch" is the w in wrist. We subconsciously think it's important and affects the pronunciation, but it really doesn't. Imagining it as "Irish rist watch" helps a lot.
i know someone called Carl and i hate it. he's Scottish. I'm Scottish. we live in Scotland. he has Scottish parents. why do they not love him?
Im Scottish and Scots can barely say a sentence without swearing
55.30% of Scottish people can't say "I want Scotland to be it's own country"
That’s it, if I ever visit Scotland I will introduce myself as Carl.
"Caaaaaaarl, why is there a dead body in our house?"
Anyone else Scottish?? 🏴❤️
But you ARE saying Carl just fine. The Scots are like the Irish - we actually pronounce the letter R whereas the English don't , for example they say KAA for the word CAR -- and STAYS for the word STAIRS.
Americans can't say Irish wrist watch either
Scottish People can't say 'Let me lend you a tenner."
she obviously doesn't watch the walking dead.
Me: Call him by his last name?
When I say Carl it comes out as “carol”
This is fascinating. Thank you. I live in Montreal, (French part of Canada), and I don't speak French, but when I try to say something, it sometimes is impossible. So I do understand. Thanks for your humor, and fun attitude.
Your English accent is very good. I was surprised when you went from your accent to English very quickly.
my name is Carl and I found it amusing that you can't say my name
"sounds like a fart just came out of my mouth."
I think whoever this “Carl” person was had some fun with leading you to believe you could not say his name so you struggled to say it. You pronounced it fine.
Going back and rewatching this video, I tried to say "Carl" and it just sounds like I'm saying "Carol"; but then when I say "Carol" it just sounds like "Carl" but as if I'm rolling the 'r' a bit more 😂I love being Scottish!
i'm american, and i can't say "irish wrist watch" either.
