    Think more like a mastiff. They are very protective and don't do good with strangers. But they are great protection, very loving , playful and bond strongly. Servals are beautiful creatures and to have one as a pet is a blessing.

    You're better off getting a savannah. The further generation it is the easier. F3 or F4 savannah is much easier to care for than a pure serval. Having a pure African serval is crazy. Can't even imagine it but it seems like a dream. I'd prefer an F2 savannah myself.

Cats have such different personalities no matter the size. They take on their parents personality and quirks. I wouldn't breed any type of animal if they didn't have good personalities and health. Some do for money not love of the breed.

    You seem very dedicated to the health and well being of chloe but i do fear that people who arent as invested in their animals will see these videos on youtube and think they can just half ass it which leads to dangerous situations and animal neglect. 💔 the more you can emphasize the reality of owning an exotic pet the better. Im torn because i will never own such a beautiful animal and love seeing you adore chloe!

    Maybe these are all good reasons for letting servals run wild instead of indulging our desire to have cool exotic pets.

    Why did you get a dog or cat? I bet there’s not a grand reason behind it and you just got it because you like dogs or cats. There is nothing wrong with wanting to own an animal and you shouldn’t have to justify it with any reason beyond “I wanted it”. Exotic animals are no different.

    @prickly_procyonids Actually there is a massive difference between owning a dog or cat and owning a serval. Servals are WILD and NOT domesticated. They deserve to be out in the wild able to use there natural instincts. They are NOT a house pet. There is ABSOLUTELY something wrong with wanting to own a wild animal that is not domesticated just for your own pleasure.

    These are wild animals. They are very difficult. It’s not the same as a domestic cat or a dog. Humans have domesticate these animals thousands and thousands of years. Because these are animals you CAN domesticate … It's the same with farm animals. Not every animal can be domesticated equally well. You can domesticate Pigs, cattle, chickens, goats, sheeps on the other hand, you cannot domesticate zebras. Otherwise our ancestors would have done this. They weren't stupid. Our ancestors figured this out a long time ago. It depends on the species. I am absolutely not a fan. They are wild animals and therefore difficult to control. But now we have IG, KZread and there you go - that's what it is. To be honest, these wild species shouldn’t not live in a living room. They need only nature. No humans. We do this because we are egoists. But that's just how we are. I love animals. And that's, why I haven’t one at all. ;)

    To all the idiots-harp on the true cruelty to animals that should be in nature preserves or in the wild that are trapped in zoos, please. I've watched all the shorts and then happen upon this. She is beautiful. What is ugly are these people and their comments/opinions. The same "what about the children" people who don't give a damn about the children and take to the "airwaves" to condemn you for showcasing a gorgeous cat that has every "right" to be in captivity. Also, if I had the space, I have the personality, lifestyle and means to own such a cat. I love Chloe, Greg ❤

    They still need the same kind of special diet that a serval needs. You are not completely clear until you get to F3. You can mix things up with an F2.

  • @silvercat7328

    @silvercat7328

    You want a wild cat, get a serval. F1 Savannah will be no different, just slightly smaller. F4 is plenty wild enough & manageable, you’ll still need to tolerate some unpredictable behaviour. Any generation hybrid needs a raw diet. Most of the celebrity Servals are declawed, the owners are rationalising scum, denying they were involved with the declawing, none of them are upfront & honest about it. Social media is about them & not the animal how ever they dress it up.
