I agree! I love all Mustangs. I have a 2017 Ecoboost premium and am totally happy with it. I had the money for the V8 but found a Mustang that I fell in love with and it was a Ruby red Ecoboost. I test drove it on Friday and bought it on Saturday. Now even errands are fun! There are so many options with Mustangs that there is a Mustang for everyone.

I drive a v6 and one thing I say a lot is “I wish I had a v8” Edit: since this comment still gets attention lol I did get my v8 I got a 15 GT had it for 3 years before some lady running a red light totaled it earlier in 2021 but I’m in the market for another one right now. No sadly the GT guys are usally assholes. I was lucky enough to get to drive a 2007 v6 daily for a year till I got rear ended at a stoplight because some asshole in a jetta was on his phone. But yeah I love the v6 its quite fun I can easily go 100MPH and I can get the back end loose.

I have an 80 mile round trip commute and my ‘18 GT gets 25-26 mpg average. 10 speed auto is awesome.

I personally like the v6. I do not have any mods or will get any. It's just the beauty of the Mustang I wanted. I use it for everyday commute.

only reason i didnt get the 8, i already pay 260 a month on a v6 and thats with hell of discounts and i have never had a wreck (im only 22) I owned a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix with an Edelbrock 350 in it.....the insurance was like nothing. So I recommend having a newer car as your daily that wont kill you in insurance and a classic muscle car with a ton of power which will cost you nothing in insurance......but this applies if you are under 25. After 25 your insurance becomes affordable.

Look I’m not a V6 fanboy, I drive a Mustang GT, but the 2013-2014 Mustang V6 are actually pretty fast, especially the automatics driven in sports mode, they have actually surprised me and actually seeing many races and participating in races a 2013-2014 Mustang V6 actually most of the times beats a 4.6 V6/8 engine for the 2005-2009 stock mustangs most of the time, I know this comment might get hate but I don’t know why people think a V6 is bad especially the 2013-2014 V6 because a bolt on V6 can destroy a V8, and the engine is lighter reducing weight also, the comment about a V6 Mustang is a muscle is actually true but not true, Mustang is classified as a pony car now, but some of the original mustangs were built with a V6 engine but that’s my two scents, a V6 Mustang is just as good as a V8, and keep in mind before you go hating on this comment I do own and daily drive a 2014 Mustang GT, I’m just going off my experience with V6 mustangs

Thanks for your intro. I' have a 2007 V6 bought it new and still own it. I love it after adding a cold air intake and rims and a better muffler and it runs so cool I get many compliments where ever I go. Thank you Ford for this sexy inexpensive car for the real car lovers out there.

I seen a low milage, nice, and stock V6 Mustang convertible on a used lot. If it would of had a manual in it, I might have bought it. At my age, I just want a fun summer car that I could daily, that gets good fuel mileage. And, I wouldn't rice-it-out because it don't care if it can't do 12 second 1/4 miles.

I'm a relative newcomer to owning a Mustang (since February 28th of this year) but I've wanted one since I was a kid. The first car I ever noticed was a 67 Fastback. I've always loved them. As far as my V6 goes it has plenty of horsepower when I need it and I'm getting between 28 - 30 mpg on average. I wasn't expecting the attention it's recieved though. Lol. I have the lightening blue (as it was my Mom's favorite color) and it just stands out. Please keep on doing the videos. I've actually learned a lot.

My past cars -2015 Mustang V6 (6spd) -2018 Mustang GT (6spd) -2017 Charger RT Thats 2 V8s and the lowly V6. The V6 was fun af for the 3 years I had it. I still miss it.

I'm glad you posted this because I'm on the fence. I barely earn more than 2k per month but everyone is saying go for the GT anyways. But with the 2015 v6 I would be saving more money compared to paying for the 2015 V8. I do like the V8 so much more though. Do you think I will still be satisfied with the v6?

@@10RBREEZY you will like the v6 for a bit.. but there will come a point were you want to get the full muscle car experience and that only happens with a v8. Plus people will laugh at you or insult you for driving a v6 which can feel pretty emasculating and enough to make you regret your purchase..its even worse when a girl asks you if its a v6 or v8. Also some people will call you a ricer because it lacks the v8 rumble and can sometimes sound very "civic" like. Back in 2015 when I first got my 2015 v6 mustang, after 6 months I was already trying to get into a GT. After I didn't get approved for it, I stopped looking for 2 years and when I got a new job I bought a new 2018 gt. If I could go back I wouldve just got a V8 to begin with, even a used older model. My honest suggestion is to look for a used V8..you can find many for cheaper... once they are considered used, there really isn't much of a price difference between the cost of a v6 and a v8 of the same year. Dont get scared about the whole mpg thing, its not as bad as you think it is.

I have a v6 and I must admit that I have been the exhaust type guy a few times. But in the end, I appreciate any car owner no matter the trim, as long as the owner has respect for what they have and what everyone else has.

Ive never said ANY of these things when I had my 2015 V6! I do agree though you can mess up the V6 sound really fast. The only thing I put was the roush axleback and it sounded great. Sounds even better on my 2017 GT ;)

I love my mustang. It’s a V6. As long as it goes the speed limit I don’t really care how fast it goes. People have tried to race me. I’m not about to get a speeding ticket.

Funny shit lol I said a few of the first things when I had my 3.7, never when I had my 4.0. And I completely agree with you on the exhaust part, very easy to ruin the 3.7's sound. That being said, I'm on my second 5.0 and I still think I'll be getting one of those again later as a daily, it can take quite a beating.

As long as it runs good and looks good its perfectly fine. I love my v6 mustang

It's about what you can afford, I got V6 Charger when I really wanted the RT but it was ridiculously expensive payment wise for the RT and I'm not going to put myself into debt just to have a V-8 and go a little faster. That being said, if you have a V-6, or V-8, just be happy with your car and don't try and get into a dick swinging contest, no V-6 will ever sound like a V-8 becuase it's just that, a V-6, I've got plenty of passing power and good gas mileage, if I want to race I'll get a car made for the track and build that, all this compititon between V-6 and the owners is them trying to make up for buying a V-6 becuase you know the looks you get when you have Mustang or Camaro or Dodge and you tell them you have a V-6.

Had a 2015 v6 for 4 years, loved it, put the mpt prx 93 tune on it and it would run 13.6 in the 1/4 mile which is good for what it was. I did upgrade to a gt now, love it also, people drive what they can afford and the 3.7 is no slouch, put a tune on and shock people how quick it runs. Smoked my buddies 03 gt who always talked smack on my v6 till I took him to grapple bees.

Lol, my procharged v6 is faster than alot of v8’s out there.

There's a douchebag in the apartment complex next door to mine who thinks he has a hot Camaro. He swapped the exhaust on his V6 and it sounds like he put 2 fart cans on it. I guess he thinks it sounds like a beefed up Euro. It is loud and very annoying. He revs it every single time he starts it up. And over revs through the parking lot. He just pisses me off (and probably everyone else around us, too). My PT Cruiser probably can outperform him...it certainly sounds beefier. lol

Just got a v6 4.0 05 as my first car and I like it a lot

06 V6 5 speed convertible. I have had 2 of this body style and have loved them both. its really affordable, good-looking, cheap to fix, and you can drive the hell out of it and still not be in danger of getting a ticket. It's good, cheap fun. Plus the ladies don't care what engine it has. They just love to see that top drop though!

I have a V6 2000 ford mustang and I love it, it sounds great like the V8 also leaves a lot of mustangs in the dust, I'll never trade this car in for anything smaller or bigger, I'll be buying another mustang again soon

I have a 05 V6 mustang and this video cracked me up. I know my car isnt much faster than your basic commuter car but I beg to differ on the TBS mod.. def not a scam.. proven to work with a tune.. combined with a tune, CAI, and just a bolted on muffler it made a difference on mine..

From what I’ve seen a throttle body spacer does have a small performance benefit of making your car more responsive towards the lower end. It doesn’t make it faster by much nor does it make it have a lot more horsepower. It just makes it more responsive. Also, I’ve heard that sometimes TBS’s won’t work well at all depending on what car you’re installing it in. Therefore I’d look up how a TBS affects your car before making the purchase.

I am a member of the 1987 to 1993 Mustang Fam. And i think there is no engine that sounds better then the classic 5.0 V8. You just can not beat the sound of those engines. They have plenty of potential for HP too.

Plenty of potential once you get rid of that stock block that likes to crack in half before 500hp. I do agree they still sound great. But the original intended use for the pushrod 302 (302-289-260) was never for a performance setup.

@@DOHCCordia Well, I owned Unlimited Performance which was featured in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords for our 1989 11 sec NA "daily driver" so I disagree. I know that 500 was the typical max but I have seen 550 plus quite a bit.

He showed me twin turbo v6 and said his car hit 0-60 faster than the 2014 R35 skyline 😂😂😂

When i first for my 2014 v6 i thought it had plenty of power. But now i really want that v8 power and sound

I bought my 2005 Ford Mustang 4.0 when it was only 4 years old with 36,000 miles. It now has 166,000 miles. It has always gotten 21-22 mpg. It has plenty passing power, because it is low geared and tops out at 107 mph. I do have to put snow tires on it to get around in the winter.

I bought it, because I use it as a daily driver and put on so many miles a year. I used to put on 36,000 miles a year. Way cheaper to replace than an expensive V-8.

v6 mustang looks cool, that's all, it's not really a performance car. I own a 2013 v6 convertible. Meh, with a convertible nobody gonna accuse me of buying the wrong car. If I bought the coupe then you might, but with the top down, it's just a cruiser with fantastic looks

*anger noises* I too drive a 2013 V6 coup. I went and got a new set of headers, exhaust, and mufflers with a cold air intake and tune. I love it. It is my daily driver.

Loved everything except the last one 😂😂 I never heard anyone say that before buh if I did I would slap the shit out of em 😂

Back in 2010 I went to get a new 2011 V6, I ended up with a pre owned 2007 GT premium. I drove both, the 08 feels faster because of the torque and it is with a good tune and gears. Never had a problem outrunning a V6

the most hilarious part is that my dad drives a v6 and the only people who harass him for it are people in cars with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, like a kia forte or hyundai tucson. so far EVERY single guy he's met that drives a 5.0 (and even a gt500) has been really nice, and mostly they all say that they're just glad he didn't upbadge it. be proud of what you have, because at the end of the day, a mustang is a mustang. not every mustang is equally as fast, but that doesn't make it any less of a mustang.

Got a 4.0 v6 for 5 grand off craigslist. I’m proud of it idgaf. First car I own with title. 🖕no car payments and still in college. AND I get to say I drive a mustang.

Good on you ..ive had a couple different gt stangs a 4.6 with a 5 speed and now a twin turbo 5.0 6 speed and i wish I could say I didn't owe money on it. But its a fun car and stupid fast but I do like to hit the track on occasion and even drag race it every now and again. A mustang is a mustang and you either drive one or you don't, but don't let anyone put you down just because they have a faster car. Enjoy it and drive safe.

I got a 3.8 V6. Gonna get an actually decent exhaust. MAC long headers, h pipe, and boom tube. Any experience on how those sound together?

I drive V6 because it's the car I bought. 1. For most V8 it's their only car and saying V6 cant afford it. 2. Whos going to the track. 3. V8 driver always in packs of dudes a huge sausage fest. That quick to talk how bad a V6 is...where are the women. 4. Almost all crashes are V8 because they listen to the BS you Fks say. If cant handle your power maybe you should get a 4 banger! 5. V8 pop there chest out while buying a used car and say V6 owner cant afford a V8. You cant afford a new car? 6. Only V8 driver worry about Who's driving a V6 nobody else really give a sh*t. I have never heard a V12 driver ride d*cks talking about a V8. And taking about V6 I know a few that would bust a V8 ass do research in the European market! Just saying!

I'm 5 yrs late, but what so many fail to realize is there are people who have a V8 and can't afford it and people who don't have one, but have the money to afford one or even two. Having a V8 is flex for some. But having no debt, cars paid off, properties, the ability to retire early sounds pretty good. At the end of the day, the wealthiest people see a car as a "tool". Whether it's a V6, V8, V10, V12 they all get you from point A to B. This mentality seems like an attribute of the poor. People who got it like that don't have the time to be concerned about an engine in a car that's not theirs.

I own a V6 and am totally in agreement with everything you talked about lol, I love the mustange community, also, bbk shorty's and roush axel back's are what I have but you still can't touch the sound of that amazing 5.0

My dad has a v6 Mustang, and it's his first Ford vehicle, but he doesn't say anything you put out there in the 5 years he's driven it. It could just be for people that are too ignorant or arrogant that say all that stuff.

I have a 98 v6 5 speed with cai, I'm planning on putting on a underpully and a magnaflow rumble soon as well as changing driver seat for racing seat and removing rear seat

V6 New Edge Mustang owner here and I don't think mine is really fast. I always wanted a V8 but I felt like the V6 is a safe stepping stone for me to handle a more powerful V8. Plus I'm learning manual transmission. I am the type who seek for safety before thrill.

2019 ford gt Super car is a v6 so I don't see why'd that would make you insecure

V6's are owned by college students when they go to the dealership and get the cheapest one with no options. Wait... Balded Angle covered it in his video.

I went with a '99 (I love the design) V6 because the price difference (for the car, gas, and insurance as well) and I don't have a need for a V8 in my daily in Miami lol

badboy 25 this is true and people say "the insurance isn't that much more" but don't understand that for young people a sports car, that's what insurance considers it, is already more over a regular car for us and on top of that for a v8 coverage at such a young age would be a lot of money and gas for someone in college, hell my 2008 v6 is more expensive on the insurance than my mothers brand new 2017 maxima

Coming from a life long mustang fan and someone who had a Gt and a v6… the mustang community is so freaking toxic it’s sad , why can’t we all just stand together and appreciate the cars we have , the outsiders hate us enough, now we’re hating each other ?? Jesus

I just bought a 2016 V6 as my first car and honestly I’m very happy with it and that’s what matters. People can have their opinions but my V6 with a CAI and some slip ons is good for me, decent gas mileage, pretty good power and beautiful looks is exactly what I wanted for a daily driver

I honestly wanted what the jeep community has when i had my v6 mustang. Doesn't matter what year, model whatever Jeep you have, all other jeep owners see you as family and all Jeep owners wave at each other. Only community i've seen like this.

I just realized you're diving around close to my neighborhood. I'm off of Coit and Eldorado. I drive a '19 Ruby Red Mustang GT PP1.

I love my car but I have never said any of that. Who in their right minds thinks a spacer does anything. A tune is all you need, Bama no less. If you have heard any of this good lord i'm sorry for the owner of the car. Now the MPG plus speed is still a good point for 2011 and up. Yes you can add more to a GT and boom back to square one but your MPG will go down more then it already is. So you get the upper hand back but still cannot drive a long as the other. The sound thing is spot on. You cannot just put anything on and sound good.

In my eyes, v6 will always be inferior to v8. "What if its a twin turbo v6?" If a twin turbo v6 makes that much power, imagine what kind of power a twin turbo v8 would make

Procharged V6 mustangs can usually push around 450-470 WHP not crank. That makes a huge difference

Not hating. But the v8 sound is a bit overrated. I preffer the v10 over anything, and even a v6 equally as an v8. But for real guys, nothing beats a Scania V8

I have a 2018 gt and a 2017 v6. Personally, the gt is super fast and responsive, but the v6 is so much better when it comes to the feel of the drive
