Getting a kitten (even sometimes a cat) is like having a newborn. I’ve had both. They both wake you up throughout the night but it DOES get better. My kitten meowed throughout the night for the first week. And now she’s sleeping with me throughout the night.

I’m polish and “Mishu” means bear in english. 🥺

Fun fact cats are attracted to the word mishu for example when you’re trying to get a dogs attention sometimes you snap your fingers or do some type a noise, the word Mishu is kind of like that for cats so maybe that’s why he was very quick to respond when you guys would say that word, it’s a Hispanic thing but it goes with all cats😂

wow i'm shocked at the Americans vet system a 100 dollars for 1 vet visit?? In England we get something called a "kitten package" and pretty much everything is free, you have to pay £80 for spay/neuter AND microchip together. and the 2nd and 3rd vaccine is free you pay £40 for the first. after that its just yearly checkups which never go above £40

Roxy Msp no. Depends on the situation. For example I have cats that cannot leave the house unsupervised or they will die. (Hairless cats) so I have to spay them. Or it would literally be torture for them because they would want to mate so bad. They’ll spray all the house scratch up the walls ect.. so it’s better to have it done. If I had a normal tomcat I wouldn’t have spayed but due to my breed I had no choice. No way I’m letting a 1K cat outside unsupervised people rob them.

Yes we have things like that too! I pay $20 a month and all basics are covered (annual vaccines, free unlimited visits, free 6 month dental cleanings, etc).

They grow up so fast. I understand since that happened to my kitten, we got him when he was like 4 weeks old

Thank you! I love your video for so many reasons, some of them being: I like the pace of your voice - and you get right to the point... You have really good tips that you learned from your experience with your kitten/cat... Like: them getting the runs from kitty milk replacement! Also, you say that it's not easy raising a kitten from a baby... you're very honest! You're not afraid to admit where you could've done things better, but just didn't know at the time.... I am currently a college student working and going to school full time and I have two cats (1 yr old and 3 month old). There are veterinary clinics that offer vaccines and exams for low costs and if you adopt from a rescue, cats are usually spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed! It is possible! As for food, it is important to feed cats primarily wet food and there are many food options that will meet your budget. But the most important thing cats need is love! Pet insurance is a good thing to get to avoid high vet payments and there are a variety of plans that may meet your budget. I don't have it because my cats are still young but I will invest in it once they get older.

I foster, and everything is provided, from food, vet care, litter, toys etc, of course you have be be committed to letting the cat go when adopted. There are long term fosters with special needs cats that can last years. Not every rescue does provide everything. And when I or if I get a higher income I will then pay for basic expenses as I did before my income minimal.

yeah, omg!! my cat trills too! I think it's so funny because I've never heard any other cat do it before, but whenever she feels lost or if no one is around, she starts to trill like a bird.

i adopted 2 kittens when they were 2 1/2 weeks old and they are alot of WORK!!! they’re turning 2 months on august 4th

Mishu is a beautiful name! This really helps, and Mishu's grown! Great job in taking care! It took me a few days to decide the name of my future cat, which will be (I'm pretty sure) Loki!

in spanish we say "mishu mishu" as a way to call cats(make them come to u)

If you hate changing the litter I would suggest getting pellets. They have a kit on chewy.com and you just have to change the pad underneath and scoop the poop and it doesn’t smell as bad

Ahh the barricades and cat proofing. My kittens escaped every one. Now they are 3 yr old shits I love dearly.

12 years ago my family rescued a stray kitten that was around 4 weeks old. We had to bottle feed it and raise it. 2 years ago he unfortunately had to be put down due to health issues. Now just a week ago my neighbors found a litter of kittens from a stray cat that I've been seeing weeks before when she was pregnant. I hadn't seen her these past weeks and was concerned until my neighbor asked if I wanted to keep a kitten. Now I'm raising a 5 week old girl kitty

Thanks for the update 😊. I think your cat will cuddle over time. They will come on their own and also if they are cold they will like to cuddle under the covers 😄. You can try Tidy Cats Breeze system for the litter box btw.

My cats try to go in the vent (on the floor) and in walls of the house (we have a room in the basement where there's small entry ways that lead into the walls) so we had to tape the vents and close the door to the room downstairs. Cats are adorable but they're huge troublemakers.

i found my kitten at 4 weeks old as well. she was an orphan, and she's a cuddly monster at 6 months. A trick if u want a cuddly cat is to cuddle with them haha like i got her very used to being picked up and carried and she always slept on my bed cuddled up next to me. if u put them in a carrier most of their childhood they'll feel comfort in the carrier and not want to cuddle u. i also have a larger cat so the kitten learned alot from him.

we have the same cat breed !! but mine is 9 months old and i got him when he was 2 months old :) his name is cooky and i think its been 7 months since i got him

Trick for young kittens: First place their litter box inside of their main room. (Like your bedroom) and then after 2 months, move the litter box outside onto the grass. Then throw the stones onto the grass after 1 month of having the box just sit there. Eventually they will only use the bathroom outside. They will bury their poop and pee outside in the sand. - This trick has worked for my entire family for many years. - Let me know how it goes !

Purina Tidy Cat Litter Pellets system is the best system I’ve used. It separates the pee and the poop and I just throw the poop with a few pellets down the toilet and change the pee pad once to twice a week. My toilet has never got clogged and I’ve been doing it for 2 years in multiple houses.

I’m geting a 6-7 week old kitten in 1 week! And he looks like Mishu

I found 2 kittens on the side of the road, there momma passed . I bottle fed them kitten milk. and slowly gave them solids and then gave them dry food. litter box trained them and everything. but they both passed due to head trauma. but I'm getting 2 black kittens in a week and I'm so exited and sad at the same time. i miss my 2 baby's but am happy to give 2 new kittens a home.

I got my cat when he was like 4-5 weeks old as well, something about taking them that young makes them end up playing very rough and not being very cuddly lol my cat is 1 yr old now and he doesn’t like to be petted. He bites me very hard when I pet him, not in an aggressive angry way, but just in a playful way, except it HURTS. Oh and they’re trouble makers! 😂

My cat was a stray but now he lives with us and he’s honestly like NO work (he’s 7 or 8) but yes really expensive cuz the procedures for them are so much money
