Things I wish I knew about my pelvic floor before getting pregnant!

Why is it that young women considering pregnancy or currently pregnant or recently postpartum know so little about their pelvic floor? Why do we not talk about the pelvic floor more openly? Why do women find out about a Urogynecologist only after they have gone through a traumatic birthing experience and/or suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction?
Pregnancy and childbirth can be both an amazing and anxiety provoking period in a women's life. But the birthing experience and what to expect after does not have to be a surprise or a shock. In this video, I discuss all things that women should know about their pelvic floor as it relates to pregnancy.
I am a big proponent of educating women about their bodies. Only when we are knowledgeable about our own body and health can we ask the right questions, seek out the right help and make the best decisions for ourselves and our family. So lets dive right in!
