As someone who is born and raised in Southern California all my life I can confirm what you are saying is 💯 truth I love Southern California style and scenery but I really wish we could slow down and enjoy life more like the French do and I personally would love a chic French modesty fashion upgrade in Ca 😅😍🥰 it’s so true about a little Starbucks or now Dutch Bros coffee support drink 😆🥰 so true ☕️😂💕

Aww your comment made me soo happy!! I lived in San Diego and absolutely adored it and I would actually love to be able to visit regularly as my husband's family is there and we have such strong roots! It was very hard to leave, we left for a multitude of reasons but never because we didn't like it as we loved California so much! But yes it really is super different! Shedding a little tear for dutch bros because I love it so much! You must try a coconut lime green tea when you go next, it's my favorite drink from them!!

Such a great video! I would love to see a tour of your home so we can see the size. I live in Edinburgh after moving from Australia with one suitcase and I have definitely noticed the homes are generally much more modest here too.

@@shesfrench Oh yeah of course, should definitely be careful online especially with your family. Edinburgh is so so beautiful especially in spring/summer months. It's a lovely walkable city to live in or visit.

this video was so fun and informative to watch i consider myself a minimalist but to be honest i get easily influenced and i was about to buy containers for my kitchen just because almost everyone has it

This was a fun one for me to film too🤍 and don’t worry I’m the same way and it’s soo tempting especially as I used to get a lot of organizing content in my feed, I think that having some is totally fine because it is nice to organize but a lot is ok without too, that’s what I’ve learnt so far🤍

I live in a 1920s bungalow in the U.S., and I don't buy in bulk, because that was not a thing in the U.S. in the past, either, and there is no space for all that or for huge furniture pieces.

I’d love to live in Paris for a year. I’m on a mission to purge and declutter, but it will never be enough. I have 5 Christmas trees and 50 boxes of decor. Seriously, I had 75 but after this last Christmas I said “I can’t do it anymore”. I’m now wanting my trees and the wreaths I put on the windows and that’s it. So this year after Christmas I will get rid of a lot more. We downsized house 17 years ago and new houses have no storage. I have to store UNDER my house. I seriously go under my house to bring up Christmas. It’s a work in progress

That’s so amazing! Don’t get discouraged it takes a lot of time and I really think that it’s something that you have to repeat every once in a while you can’t do it all in one go, don’t put too much pressure on yourself❤️❤️❤️

@@shesfrench I did a lot last year and had a successful garage sale. Doing it again this year. My neighborhood does a neighborhood garage sale every June. It’s the only time we are allowed to do them so I’m trying to get ready for that. I have four more boxes of Christmas to sell plus a ton of household and some very very good clothing and shoes. I’m on a roll. My husband loves to shop and I usually don’t say anything, even when I know we don’t need it or have the room. So sadly some of the stuff I’m purging hasn’t even made it out of the boxes. I’m not telling him. I’m just getting rid of it. He won’t even notice. Am I the only one who does that? 😂

I was in Paris this past summer and I dressed like a Parisian and I loved it. Now back home on the west coast I’m doing the same…..neutral colors and mostly solids. I’d like to live in Paris for a year. I wish

C'est vrai qu'acheté des meubles, il ne faut pas acheter n'importe comment ! Ce que je veux dire, c'est qu'il faut réfléchir à l'achat avant. Non seulement, tu économises de l'argent, mais tu achètes quelque chose de qualité ! (Merci, de nous rappeler qu'il faut bien réfléchir avant d'acheter quelque chose ahah. Bah la surconsommation, je trouve, que c'est ce problème. Les gens ne pensant pas à tout ça, ils achètent juste pour combler leur vide. Je trouve ça super triste parce qu'après tu as énormément d'objets, tu dois nettoyer tout ça, les ranger, c'est une perte de temps affreuse ! Alors que tu peux utiliser ce temps, pour la famille, faire ce que tu aimes etc....)

Ah oui ! Les livres ! Bah moi... De base... Je n'aime pas avoir de livres.... (Je préfère largement en pdf) Mais étant une personne qui ADORE l'anatomie... La kiné, et tout ce qui en découle... Bah... Je pense finalement quand même m'acheter un livre d'anatomie et les 2 livres d'un kiné ahah. Après, c'est tout. ahah

D'ailleurs... J'essaye aussi d'être zéro déchet (BON, je sais que ce n'est pas possible à 100%.) Et je ne sais pas si vous êtes aussi minimaliste et zéro déchet, parce que ça va souvent (plutôt parfois) de pair. Bon, si ce n'est pas le cas, ce n'est pas grave... Mais j'ai une suggestion de vidéo ! C'est possible de faire une vidéo de votre frigo, pour qu'on sache un peu ce que vous avez. Les menus que vous faites (en tant que minimalist. Bon, moi, je vais clairement faire des meal prep, pour ne pas devoir me casser la tête hein mdr ) Bien sûr, si ça ne vous dérange pas, que ça ne rentre pas dans votre intimité ( Je respecte largement l'intimité des gens ahah)

Coucou!! J'adore les livres aussi mais ca fait longtemps que je n'ai pas lu, je pense acheter un kindle d'occasion sur leboncoin! Mais oui c'est vrai qu'un livre d'anatomie est surement mieux en format livre et pas pdf je suis d'accord! Achete le si ca te fait plaisir, c'est le plus important!! Et malheureusement nous ne somme pas 0 dechets, c'est compliquer avec nos emplois du temps et un enfant mais je pense que l'on consome peut etre un peut moin en general en etant minimalist! Pour le frigo je pense que ce serai une video compliquer maintenant par ce que il est tellement mini haha! Mais dans le passer on avait filmer une video comme ca, mieux organiser avec notre frigo de californie! Je vais t'envoyer le lien sur insta

Oh oui ! Moi aussi, je vais m'acheter un kindle plus tard, parce que je ne peux clairement pas avoir trop d'objets. Si j'en ai trop, je pète un câble ahah. Et je fais direct un declutter (Petite anecdote : Mon copain m'achète des petits cadeaux, que je n'ai pas demandé, ou que je n'ai pas réfléchis avant.) Au bout de quelques semaines, je les revends. Du coup, maintenant, il me dit : "Je ne sais même pas quoi t'acheter sans que tu les revendes au bout de 2 semaines." Ahah Mais ce n'est pas ma faute si je trouve que les objets sont trop encombrants ! Si tu m'achètes des équipements de sport, là, tu peux être sûr que je ne vais pas les revendre ahah. Mais oui, en vrai, les livres d'anatomie, je vais acheter en livre, parce que je préfère largement ! Je dis clairement à mon copain: "J'ai envie d'être zéro déchet, parce que je ne comprends pas pourquoi je vais payer pour des déchets que je fais." Bon, je peux comprendre que c'est leur travail qu'on paye ahah, mais quand même... En plus, c'est pas très bien pour notre petite planète... Mais je sais que je ne pourrais pas l'être à 100%. Surtout comme tu le dis... Avec un enfant de bas âge... c'est encore plus compliqué... Ahah. Pas de souci. Je veux bien que tu m'envoies le lien sur insta. Merci énormément !!!!! 🥰
