@@revenge977 yeah but it’s better once you get used to it, I don’t mind the simple interior of the C6.

The grinding from the rear... possibly the diff. Is it only happening when you turn? They do this and it's easily fixed with a diff fluid change. The booming from the hatch area... I took the carpet out, lined the entire tub with knockoff Dynamat, then covered it with a thin (1/8"), closed cell acoustic foam. It quieted things quite a bit. Not Lexus-like, but better on the highway. I also did the doors the same way.

Appreciate it. It’s not a grinding to say but you can hear something spinning almost. Hard to describe without actually showing the sound. I do plan on adding some sound proof in the future. I think it’d help more for filming.

My 08 3LT has under 15K on it and I don’t have any of those issues except maybe the tires picking up stuff and you can hear it in the wells. The one thing that drives me nuts is the clear targa creaks like hell. Will address that soon though.

I have the regular body matched targa but I feel that. Interesting that you have no issues but every car is different and I’m also very picky so some of these may just be me in my own mind.

Hey man, I’m looking to get out of my 5th gen Camaro into a C6. Was wondering how usable the storage is, and if you regret not trying for a higher model.

There’s lots of room but no back seats if you need those. Other than that, no issues and very daily-able if need be.

Also I have no regrets. Maybe aim for a better sound system but everything else is the same.

Nope. Never touch the handbrake. Only had it up once in Neutral when my car wouldn’t go from Park to Drive. Left it one and in Neutral while it was warming up. It also shines a bright light “Brake”!

Why are the dash lights flashing.

The camera has a hard time picking up LED/LCD displays. Just like when someone has an LED strip in the headlights, that will flash.

Am I being stupid for contemplating this car? $18k for a 26k mile 2006 C6, auto, 1LT, all stock (old tires, no Z51/magnetic ride) Would you pay $18-19k for this haha

It’s actually not all that bad. Just try to find your budget. Good tires are about $1K. Also figure out what you’ll do with the car. If you don’t need MagRide or Z51 if you aren’t going to track. Also remember that you get the 4 Speed Auto and not the 6 Speed like mine. 18 sounds really good and lots of potential!
