Thin H Bandage from H&H Medical
Ғылым және технология
The H Bandage from HandH is a great choice for a pressure bandage. You can get the H Bandage in the standard fold or the flat fold. The H Bandage would make a great choice for your IFAK / Trauma Kit!

Interesting product. Sort of wish we had that when I was a Paramedic in NYC some years ago. Thanks for the video.
Glad I watched this video I would not have figured out how to use this in a million years .
I've always been a ETD fan, however, I really like this dressing. Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks Skinny 💓👍
Thank you.
THANK YOU
I’ve been waiting a long time for you to do this video, I’ve had H bandages for a while and I didn’t want to open them
Should show one on the H&H Mini compression bandage if you already have not
Aloha from Hawaii, Skinny Medic, thanks for all of the great content over the years. I wanted to suggest that you spray your dummies with a textured paint so it grips bandages in a more realistic way. I notice from a few videos, and channels, that show practitioners and trainees having difficulty with wrapping bandages on a non-realistic surface. Or maybe you can suggest that to the manufacturers. I have a feeling this issue has probably been addressed already but, whatever training mannequins that have already been purchased that DON"T have a tactile surface can still be hacked to have one. Just a thought.
Nice video, but for my personal opinion the israeli bandage works a little bit better. Greetings from Germany
cool i like that makes it easy ! TY
Excellent video and quick training on how to use the bandage. I have learned much from your videos. Thanks for taking the time! BTW: Your videos are always crisp and clear, what software/camera do you use to edit & create your videos?
First, thanks for your prompt service and the note you sent on my recent order. Classy. Second, First Care/ Israeli now makes a civilian version of their 4" that is a little thinner than their pro version. This packs very small and seems to be a great choice where space is at a premium, like in a ankle trauma kit. Have you seen it and do you have any thoughts on it?
Just bought 2

In the broader scheme of things, I know that it's not critically important, but I don't like the packaging where the sterile portion of the pad is exposed, and will most likely get contaminated early simply by opening the package.
Nice video. Thank you Skinny Medic. I will replace my expired isreali bandage with it. Question. My isreali bandage still holds a vacuum seal. Should I still replace it, or is it good after expiration date?
I just tried an Israeli T3 and was not impressed, at least with the 4". The pressure bar just doesn't work all that well. I think the H Bandage is better. It's just easier to use and maintains a wider pressure distribution IMO.

You also don’t have to worry about the bandage ripping unlike the Israeli bandage.
So if a pressure bandage is not available for a venous bleed, would it be okay to use a tourniquet that is not windlessed down as tight as you would need for arterial bleeds? I ask this following your last After Action Medical Report (Utah Mall Shooting) where the Good Samaritan used an improvised tourniquet to stop not-so-serious bleeding on a woman’s thigh.
H&H is an okay bandage. I'm not sure why the navy picked it... perhaps just availability at the start of the Iraq war. Israel bandage holds more mm of mercury pressure or ppsi versus the H&H. Also ease of use is better and faster #WhenSecondsCount
have you applied this on a living person, how much does this bandage reduce distal pulse.
Please compare to the Israeli bandage.
Thin H became thick H
My dad had to use one pressure bandage on me because I was attacked by a dog pitbull
How does this compare to an Israeli T3? Or are there places where we may need or the other. Notice no mention of head injuries with the H bandage, which is a call out for the Israeli. Thanks!

The T3 is different with the tear away pad and would packing gauze that comes it it. I think both a great bandages.
Has any one ever tell you that you look like Jack from will and Grace???
👍

Has anybody seen any hemostatic pressure bandages out there? Does that exist?

I'd hoped the Israeli plus others would have added an agent to the pad but I think the agent needs to get into the wound not just on the surface, probably have to use Combat gauze or Celox or a similar product then the pressure bandage on top to apply pressure.
Could it be improvised into a tourniquet??

You can almost make it a tq by inserting the closure bar thru a couple of bandage wraps then turning it like a windlass. I think it adds about another 5 lbs of pressure.

Thanks man!
Is it true that sanitizing the wound with iodine causes more harm than good?

I also think it fails at having proper pressure on the wound because you don’t have the wrap stretching over the wound and instead your trusting the once pad to take care of all bleeding.I think it is intended to make an excessive amount of pressure around the wound which is intended for an easy controlled wound.I have never used it so maybe I’m wrong about this.If anyone that has used it I would be happy to here what you think.
