it is very common for elderly thais to have their gold stolen. It is usually the grand children responsible.

Without being negative , someone knew exactly where the gold was ,the camera turn off . i would not be surprised if it was a family member / friend of the family who stole the gold . gambling and high debts are rampant in rural thailand

Brigitte L Jones. The twins ought not be playing with with electrical devices for 3 reasons. One they can damage them, two lose them once walking or crawling more effectively outside & leave them in a puddle. They 3 risk being electrocuted. It is not hard to keep these things higher up and out of reach. Thai family may only change if the twins leave these things in a puddle outside or kids get an electric shock (less likely than appliance quits working).More likely they won't change, just buy another.On the positive side they don't fuss over material items, they are more relaxed. Nicer for the twins!

So what if the gold is gone?You can't expect to be theft proof if you don't have modern working security cameras or unlocked doors. More likely it will be a relative or friend who did the deed, being familiar with the place. It really causes less distress not to be confronted by such knowledge. It is just a material loss. If it was a real burglar, with limited knowledge of the family, it may well have kept the violence level down by being very easy pickings.

Can you get fold up camping mattresses online, such as what BCF sells etc ? We have 2 single 10cm thick, it makes a queen when put together.
