Definitely not one of the best of all time - he has some unreal highlights but if you actually watched him back in the day for the many seasons he played, he didn't perform as consistently as the true greats, especially when at Arsenal. It's why people very rarely include him in a Premier league all time team.

Bergkamp was the most technically gifted player I’ve ever seen in real life. His goal against Argentina at France ‘98 is probably my all time favourite international goal (including Owen’s in the same competition). His goal against Newcastle where he turned Dabizas inside out, was simply sublime.

And as a Liverpool Fan his goal when he turned Dabizas is probably.my favourite non Liverpool Goal Ever.. No other player on the planet EVER could have done that except Bergkamp.

That goal against Argentina, the ball was travelling over the top from behind him he ran towards the ball as he was trying to catch it and pulled the ball back whilst it was still in air the ball rolled back the defender ran past he then touched the ball to open his body and bang he curled the ball to the far corner from the edge of the box. It was the inventness in a moment that he then could do things other couldn't.

Zidane was the player that made me fall in love with football. Never seen anything like him, until I saw Bergkamp. Zidane was like a no.10 who would drop back and control the game, and Bergkamp was a striker who would drop into a 10, but never too far back. They were pretty much the same player in essence, but Zidane had a bit more to him physically (which people don't talk about) and Bergkamp, whilst still quite a unit, was more technically sound. You would not believe how good his link-up play was if you saw him play.

The all 3 of the answers are all the heart , passion and loyality of the team 🔥

He did not compare both but some players is a joy to play with, when Messi plays he dribbles players, scores, ... took the ball all by himself and don't give teammates any chance to shine. But, when Dennis plays, he plays with elegant and made all his teammates looks elegant ! For me Dennis is my favorite player, so smart and technical and beautiful to watch !

He didn't pick Bergkamp over Messi, he picked Bergkamp over every single other play he's played with

I'm a Spurs fan, and I don't really like Henry, though he is an amazing forward. Bergkamp though, is on another level. I would argue that Arsenal's most productive time in the EPL was not because of Henry but because of Bergkamp.

She didn't say best player in the world, she said best player he played alongside, so the question is really addressing how well they played together.

Bergkamp is one of a kind. Grew up in the smallest farmer village next to my village. I went to school with his nephew and met him couple of times. He is such an easy going down to earth guy. Magical player 🧙‍♂️🪄

Honestly despite I don't particularly like Henry as a person I have to say that he was one of the greatest and that he is not wrong at all over this one, Bergkamp was in the highlight years of his career, Zidane's career was beginning the sunset, Viera was by far way behind Bergkamp back then and Messi was just starting he's career, furthermore Bergkamp was perhaps one of the most gifted players to ever live
