He came off in the 70th minute so at least had around 45 mins before this interview as it's after the medals and title was given. Still he's a super calm person and is always articulate.

This was the most dominant CL final of all time, until they faced each other again two years later lol. This Utd team was so so good, I think the best in their history. Pep first treble and now he repeats it 14 yrs later.

@@roronoalaw7772 Madrid - Juventus was kinda marred by Real Madrid having MASSIVE luck by scoring 2 deflections in a row, like vs Liverpool when Madrid got 2 goals from mistakes it kinda robs the excellence of the side imo. AC Milan 4 - 0 Barcelona in 1994 was a brutal score line. Also worthy of note is that Guardiola was playing as a defensive midfielder in that 4-0 loss to AC Milan.

Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho are by far my favorite living football legends, they are the reason I fell in love with football in the first place, they are part of my childhood... Henry should have won at least one or two ballon d'or in the 2003 and 2004 seasons, he was so unique and underrated back then, he was almost unstoppable and genuinely a very good all-rounder authentic player. ☯️✌️

It's probably more based on his time in Spain, many pundits/press at the time saw him to be a finished player because of the fact he wasn't scoring as many goals/being effective with Barca especially in his first season compared to when he was at Arsenal. He felt that he needed to prove a point and he certainly did by winning the treble in his second season.

You can tell the trophies he won at Barca didn’t mean much to him. Ofc you take it but he doesn’t seem bothered. That Arsenal defeat in 06 final will always hurt Henry for the rest of his life. Despite being at Barca he’s still showing Arsenal love I rate it.

You can see Henry is more like 'job done' here than over the moon at finally winning the CL when he was pushing 32. Someone like Gerard probably saw this interview and thought 'Yeah, not much point in winnning everything under the sun if it's not going to be at Liverpool. Glad I didn't give in to the pressure.'

Your comment is 💯 spot on. As Arsenalfan that will always frustrate me. Far worse teams have won UCL but to not win it with Henry, Viera & Pires etc will always haunt me. The fact that invicibles couldn’t win that is something I can never get over. Even Liverpool with Gerrard won it and that year they came 5th in the PL.
