You started to do this awhile back. Glad to see you've restarted the retrospective of past builds. It's hard to see them in the background on your regular videos, this gives us a closer view. Much appreciated.

The cracking you're seeing is the result of the layer beneath still not fully dry but the top layer was thinner and has dried. As the wet paint underneath dries out the shrinkage causes the dry paint on top to crack from the pulling effect. Happens a lot with most paints but Enamels suffer this the most, hence why we always say thin light coats lol. Many of my older kits all look this way till I got better. Great review of the kits this was a fun watch!

I was thinking it has something to do with temperature fluctuations due to the shop being a shipping container, how hot does it get in there, how cold during the winter months? Anyway, just a thought.

Cool stuff Matthew. I believe I can explain the Olds engine in the 40 Ford. That rolled over from the Sedan Delivery kit. And that was inspired by a car owned by my dad's best friend. He was well known for his belly tank that was originally powered by Ford Flathead V8s. Set lots of records. 1st car over 180mph at El Mirage (where the Bonneville guys race most of the year). The he switched to Olds push rod V8s. 1st car over 200mph at El Mirage. Car is now in the Henry Ford Museum. He had a pair of tow/push trucks that were 40 Ford Sedan Deliveries. Built them with the same blown engine as the belly tank. Tom made and sold blower drives. So in the late 50s, like 58 or 59, there were a couple of brothers, Walt and Art Arfons, who had a race car used for drags and Bonneville called "The Green Monster". Powered by an Allison V1710 out of a Curtis P40 Warhawk fighter plane. At Bonneville they couldn't get it to push start with their pickup. So they came to Tom and asked him to give the Green Monster a push with his supercharged Olds. His 40 Sedan Delivery was loaded with his rollaway tool box, a spare engine for the race car, spare wheels and tires for the 40, the belly tank and the trailer, an ice chest, etc. Slender Tom and his pal/employee Fat Eddie in the front. They never got the Allison to fire up that day, but not for lack of trying. Pushed the Green Monster through the lights on the course and in the process set an unofficial record for Utility Vehicles that stands today. It was a little less or a little more than 150mph loaded and pushing that 10,000lb enormous thing down the salt. As a little kid I thought the story was just bench racing BS. Then in the 90s, a team of Engineers from GM tried to beat it with a GMC Symone, the S15 with a factory blower. Of course they hopped that up a great deal and applied all their engineering skills to make their much newer and sleeker racer faster. But according to Hot Rod Magazine, the story I heard from Tom was the real deal and the GM guys failed by 5 or 10mph. So Tom's 40 Ford Sedan Delivery was the inspiration for AMTs model kit. Imagine how fast Tom's 40 would have gone without all the weight, and without trying to push start the other huge cranking over that massive engine trying to start it.

Love the builds. The model car club that I'm a member of has asked me to see if you would like to come out to our next show. I have a video from last years show on my channel, if you would like to watch it. It's the Space City Shootout. This year, it will be on Saturday July 27. It's held here in Houston, about 1 mile east of the NASA Johnson Space Center. We have space for vendors, as well as contest entries. I have an information sheet on the show that I can scan and email to you if you would like to know more about the show. The sheet also has the proper contact info for the organizers.
