The bass sounds good. I'm not a fan of the cosmetic appearance. the distressed look is not my thing. and the machine heads are over the top. but apart from that good sound. wouldn't choose the icon series myself. Wilkinson hardware is ok. I modified a bass myself with Wilkinson pickups. thanks for the review

Hello, I have a fiesta red 2012 CV P and a 2019 Vintage V4 reissued (the same but not reliced and with a maple fretboard). Both original, except for additional shielding and new harness on the Vintage (I don't even remember why I changed it). Both with flats. I honestly love both very much and cannot sell one... The Vintage is very light and resonant with only 3.7 or 3.8kg. The Squier is slightly above 4kg. The Squier has an amazing rosewood fretboard with tiny lovely vintage frets. The sound of the Vintage is a bit more versatile / modern sounding with the Wilkinson pickup, the classic vibe is very vintage, a bit too warm sometimes for some rock or funk stuff, but so nice for vintage stuff or with a pick. All this is only my opinion and only with my basses, they can differ a lot at this price point. Both have perfect necks, action, etc
