I think it’s a great idea setting aside 20 acres, and a tractor for your kids to run as an agribusiness. Great way to learn and prep for eventually running the family business. Even if they decide they don’t want to be farmers, they will learn how to budget their time. Farming work is never finished.

unfortunately they don't have the important safety things, that younger people don't think about ......Having done this sort of thing the last forty years , I have grown to appreciate the tractor immediately tuning off once the seat has dislodged the rider......other than the safety factor I totally agree with this learning experience Tony

My late Uncle Art had 13 living children. 1 went into the Army and returned to Floridia to become the state leader rug supplier. The other children were farmers - milk cows and feed. Art was a large producer of Milk and Cream. His brother drove the milk trucks. The kids and Dad formed a Co-Op and all helped each other for equipment. They rotated on who buys what when. So no one had old gear unless as a utility use. Now all retired and the youngest is still working I remember her as a baby.

Small people mock what they dont understand. Bigger people seek to understand and move on, staying quiet and end up wiser for the time. It’s a great big world with all kinds of people. Thanks for another great video Zach and Becky. It was interesting and informative and entertaining. Wow. The old grain dryer is sold and taken apart and on the ground waiting for the new owner. Done deal. Glad you got it sold. Believe you said the new owner is coming with axles to move the old dryer in two pieces. Will be interesting seeing it moved. New dryer is going up-yeah. Will be a great new addition to the farm operation. Good luck finding that old planter you want for the moline tractor. If I had one you could have it for the kids project. Great idea to let them have some ground to grow and harvest a crop and see how it all works. Hopefully this will be an educational experience for them. Hopefully they end up with a profit. Great learning experience. Busy time doing this and that while waiting for the ground to dry for planting. Anxious to plant I know. Been there done that before. Anxious to see your new dryer setup!!!!!! Like the new shirt with the dogs on it. Will be a good seller I bet. Glad both dogs are doing better now!!!!!!! About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Thanks for everything Zach and Becky. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

I often smile when someone says they will pull a huge, heavy piece of farm equipment with a pickup. I think, “Good heavens, it isn’t the pulling, it’s the stopping that counts.” Just like the automakers touting towing capacity, and not even hint at stopping ability. In the late ‘50s my dad drove a fair distance pulling a rented trailer (not U-Haul and no brakes) to pick up our new barn cleaner , heavy chain and gear box with a 5 hp electric motor. There was a big downhill on the way home. About halfway down he realized that he couldn’t stop at the intersection at the bottom. He laid on the horn and swept through without hitting anyone. Brakes smoking. Stopping ability was important to me thereafter.

Do you ever have mustgo's for supper? My great grandparents were corn farmers in Slayton, MN (southwest corner) during WW2 and through the late 70's, they also raised sheep. I was born in Kansas in 72' but moved to Louisian in 79' and have been there ever since. We used to go visit them every couple years. While we were there, my grandma told us that we were having mustgo's for supper. I asked her what kind of animal is a mustgo and she said no silly, everything in the refrigerator "must go". We all had a laugh and I told her where we come from they're called left overs. I was just wondering if that is a common saying way up there in the Land of 10,000 lakes or is this just something she came up with? Anyway, I enjoy your channel and keep on keeping on!

Must be something she came up with. I live an hour or so South of Zach in West Central Minnesota and I have never heard of mustgo’s. It’s always been left overs to me.
