    As a veteran player, I can suggest you few things. In buildings try to follow the lights (all types of light sources), they show how you should loot and explore the building also you will not miss zombies during clearing tasks, always read books, and don't collect or don't try to sell them (if you're in a solo game). Try to do as many as possible tasks it will boost you much better than just exploring. There're no need to collect basic resources like coil, stone, metals, etc., but you always should have wood. Hope this will help you ;) P.S. Don't scrap money, its worth selling. Hope to see more 7dtd videos :) .

    The claim block (the one you threw away at the beginning) isn't just for multiplayer, it also stops zombies from respawning in the zone indicated by the green box. Allows you to live in a house without having to constantly clear it as the zombies respawn without it.

    My main tip for new players is to keep in mind that every point of interest ( houses, buildings , stores etc... ) is similar to a maze with a loot room at the end. Each one of them have a very specific route from start to finish without having to break anything (with a few exceptions). The higher tier loot room will almost always have a locked chest as part of the loot so make sure you always have a bunch of lockpicks on you when you do them. If you dont have any lockpicks, you're gonna have to break the chest with a pickaxe or an auger to get the goodies. Additional tip: those points of interest will also reset if you activate a mission for them so make sure you clear the POI first and then activate the mission to get twice the rewards. (This will also respawn the zombies so be careful if you're low on ammos or health)

  • @Blitzcreeper239

    @Blitzcreeper239

    "Make sure you clear the POI" only really applies to high value POIs, especially book stores or the nursery(and law firms/offices). Usually you only want to take advantage of the reset for specific loot containers easily accessible without clearing the whole POI. Consider loot like ATMs from small gas station or the large gas station with the large amount of cars outside, or cement mixers with guranteed Forge Aheads or the garages and sheds with storage crates.

    Here's a tip from a longtime 7DTD veteran-if you're looking for a good spot to build a longterm base, one of the best (and my absolute favorite) is a tiny little house near the western edge of the map If you start at the bridge you see around 24:00, all you need to do is head south-it's gonna be quite a walk, but just follow the water's edge all the way to the bottom of the forest biome, cross into the burning forest biome, and then reach the southern edge where it turns into the wasteland biome You'll know you're in the right spot because you'll see a hotel on the eastern side of the river-across the bridge to the western side will sit a squat little one-room house with a well right behind it Hop in the well-but watch out for the spikes on your way down-and you'll find a great little surprise waiting for you I like to use the well as the foundation of my base-the design I use is called the "Coin Sorter" base, and if you search youtube for it, it should be pretty easy to find tutorial videos, but basically it involves building one central pillar with a ladder on every side, and at the top you'll have trap-laden catwalks branching out in multiple directions, so that when the blood moon hordes come, zombies will randomly pick a side to climb up & then run straight into your traps trying to get to you But like I said, this is all more of a longterm thing, so I'll do my best to catch you on twitch next time you're streaming 7DTD to see if I can share anything more immediately useful for you

    You can tell that you're really having fun with this and that makes it more fun for us to watch! I am truly impressed that you almost made it through a tier 4 POI in the snow biome with a level one baseball bat being a beginner at this game. A couple tips: -The colored eyes mean it's a feral zombie which is more difficult to kill and they are faster. (You can also turn feral sense on in the settings which means those ones always know where you are) -The green zombies are radiated which are even more difficult to kill, as you found out. -You did miss a section in the Bobs Boars and Carls Corn POI where the loot is. There is also a surprise enemy there. -Looting in the tougher biomes (desert, snow, burnt forest, wasteland) gets you better items, hence the baseball bat you found. But obviously it comes with a risk. -When placing a block to build, you can press and hold R to get different shapes. There are like a thousand, it's overwhelming, but if you enjoy building it's worth learning. All in all though, you're doing absolutely excellent. I'm so glad you decided to give 7DTD a shot, the replayablility with this game is endless.

    Some tips and tricks: Drink Red Tea before eating food to get more benefit from consuming them. Lucky Looter is best when you want to loot quicker, the extra luck is a bonus (might help the likely-hood of honey drops). A square base four high with ladders starting at the third to jump up & best constructed a few blocks away from a trader, is great with a ramp for zombies to filter towards a 'weak point' a window that is less upgraded than the surrounding walls. Plants and dew collectors at the top of it. Stamina is the worst in the beginning when using melee weapons, so try to put some points into regenerating stamina quicker with the "Rule 1: Cardio" perk with your strength perks too. If you play multiplayer with others, usually a good idea to give folks 'jobs' like being the farmer, the hunter/food/chef, the gunsmithy/forge/mechanic, and so on at the start, eventually everyone will be dipping into others jobs. My sisters LOVE playing 'Zombos" and have been thrilled to see you playing it!! Best of luck and can't wait for you get to some of the really interesting POIs!

    7 DTD advice/tips Always carry building shapes aka wood frames. You don't have to make ammo really, you get so much in loot it doesn't really need to be crafter. Arrows are exception. Duct Tape is probably one of the most important items to have. Best food//drink I think is spaghetti and meatballs and yuuka juice smoothie. 10 trader T1 quests will get you a pedal bike, 20 quests is a janky moped. There is a burning shaft mod for melee weapons but it's mostly a gimmick and best as a nightlight.

Just do one quest after another (should be around 5-7 quests) until they give you a free extra reward to choose from, one of which will ALWAYS be a bicycle. It gives you huge benefits only, so make sure to yoink it to save time and stress

    Everyone has their own way of playing this game, which is why it's hard to give tips, not only because of how much the game changes. If I'd give any tips it'd be these two: 1 - Try upping the difficulty to something like Survivalist or Warrior. It gets much scarier when the zombies are stronger. It's a tricky early start but since you're progressing pretty good the game will get much too easy on lower difficulties. (Avoid Insane like the plague, it's Insane) 2 - Stick to Traders if you can, their quests and shop will probably surprise you if you keep doing them ol' quests Look forward to seeing much more of you playing and discovering this amazing game!

    I'm unsure so far if you figured it out yet, will edit if I see it, but if you hold R when holding onto frames, you can open the shape menu and pick various shapes to build with! Works with anything that has the shape symbol top right On that note, the symbol on books and mags is different based on if you read it or not!

    Thank you so much for sticking with this game, I was afraid that after your first play with Psycho and CJ that you would not have enjoyed the game... So this is just awesome to watch. 7 Days is a game that for me, began as stressful, and a lil scary as zombies have a way of creeping up on you, and the idea of a horde on day 7 was intimidating... But now it's such a relaxing, and fun game- especially when playing with friends (I have introduced the game to around 6 friends now, and they all enjoy it alot)... I do hope the Terrible Trio give this another shot too, would definitely be fun to watch! I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself, and excellent job regarding your first horde night, it went really well!!!

    My biggest advice for new players is to do missions often. Missions will help you learn the different POIs, as well as teach you the best spots to loot for specific items or material: i.e. schools and bookstores for skill books, Shamway for food, Shotgun Messiah for weapons. And the second biggest tip is: clear out the building your mission is in first and then start the quest. The mission will reset the location so any areas you looted will respawn immediately. It's a great help for new players who are struggling to find important items like a cooking pot or forge, or if you really need meds or supplies before a 7 day horde. Good luck and have fun exploring the crazy world of 7d2d. It's been one of my favorites for a number of years and I'm so glad to see you enjoying it.

    small tip from someone who last played Feb 2022. You don't need to destroy anything in buildings to get to one room or another, there is always a path (so there is no need to destroy a barricaded door). The buildings are made so that you get around each room by either needing to go through a broken wall / floor, climbing / parkouring to the roof, by going outside a window and moving on the ledge of the building to the next window etc. In any case, there is always a premade path that gets you to the last loot stash. In most cases, there is even an exit that leads straight out in the loot stash room, so you don't need to retrace your way back.

You’ve gotten me through tons of phasmo that way, and I can’t wait to play some 7 days alongside you. Biggest tip - the easiest way to thrive is to just keep doing tons of missions back to back from the trader. The rewards and exp are great and it pushes you into specific buildings to loot them, and then re loot them as starting a mission resets the locations loot

    Just a few tips for you because I know some of these tips will help you in the long run: - Loot every toilet, there is a very small chance to find a lvl 1 knife or even a lvl 1 pistol in a toilet! - Don't underestimate putting points into Master Chef, having good food helps so much. - Cloth and Leather are VERY important for crafting essential items, cloth for duct tape (duct tape is used in EVERYTHING) and leather for later game tools/equipment/vehicles. Office chairs and couches are great for getting these materials. - Doing Trader Quests are OP, but don't forget to DOUBLE LOOT the POI. Starting the quest resets the poi, so when you get to the quest location, loot it first, then start the quest, it will then reset the poi and you can loot it again! - If you need to kill yourself quickly you can eat glass...

    I'm loving watching you play the game and it's awesome that it looks like you're having a lot of fun. I would suggest picking up hay bales while you're looking around farmhouses because you can sometimes locate hidden chests. Especially in silos like the one where you thought you got trolled. Also, unless it's been changed, a game mechanic that isn't expressly stated is that trader missions will refresh/reset the poi its linked to which means that you need to be careful to not activate the quest marker if it is outside of a place you've built up.

    Pro Tip for this game: If your inventory is full or you have a lot of stuff and you don't want to drop things you might need, craft a few small sorting chests outside of the building (on the other side of the white street line, because if its a quest anything inside of the area will reset and you'll lose your stuff) Then you can unload your pack into the chests and allow you more room and prevents you from becoming too encumbered.

    Yip, I used to build fall back points at major interchanges, a camp fire, box’s , bedrolls etc. then every so often would do drive bus to pick up or resupply then as you said, put a box out side of a property. Handy for horde nights that get out of hand or that you get caught flat footed with.

  • @horsegal0509
    @horsegal05098 ай бұрын

    I'm really enjoying your playthrough! Quick tip: each building has one "way in" that is unlocked (might be a door, might be a hole in the roof, etc) and by following the unlocked doors (maze style) once you get inside, you will get through the entire house/building and find the loot pile at the end. In answer to your question about building bases, I like to build a "house" (i.e. small box/shelter similar to your first night but larger) within the main biome but right at the edge of the desert biome, ideally near a trader, and keep all my supplies and equipment there. That way I am close to the desert for aloe vera, yucca, and for looting purposes but I don't have to deal with the harder zombies, divebombing birds, and snakes of the desert while at my base. Then for horde nights, I make a completely separate base in a city. I like to find a flat-topped low building (one of the bookstores or gas station usually) and cut off any roof access. I put flat "railings" all around the roof edge so I can stand on them and shoot all the zombies below me that run to the building and try to tear it down. That works really well for the first 4-5 horde nights then I usually have to make more defenses.

    Fun fact from me and my friends playing, you never have enough of anything. Best thing to do honestly is find a place to set up base, we normally try to be close to a traitor or if you find a good spot between zones close to multiple traders even better. Build the bigger storage boxes (the writable ones are good for organizing) and just loot loot loot.

    As a veteran, server owner and mod pack creator with far more than 1000 hours of playtime - here are a few tips for new players, some of which are already included in this video: - Get to the trader asap, quests are by far the best way to progress, also it gives you something to do - you will want to have your base as close to a trader as possible - Loot every kitchen you come across for the chance to loot a grill or a cocking pot which are essential for food/water - The most scarce ressources in the game are cloth and glue, so scrap every piece of clothes you find - glue you can find in garbage cans/piles - Collect as much murky water as possible, the best way to get it is by looting toilets - If playing single player, make sure to spec one point into Advanced Engineering and loot every broken workstation you see, since the workstation magazines are the most crucial for progression - You can double loot POIs, because they get reset as soon as you start the mission, including the final loot - The only pipe weapons worth it are the pipe pistol and the pipe machine gun, the machine gun being the only good one - If you feel like you want to cheese a little bit, you can craft wooden hatches for 10 wood and place them on the ground in front of doors to create choke points There are many more tips I could give, but I think the most enjoyable part about this game is learning all the mechanics yourself and getting better with each day and each playthrough.

    The fun thing about 7d2d is that you can play any way you want. Mainly the things to do are Quests and getting books. Watch a few more tutorials about how to play and what to do and how to level your character. Have fun. Suggest you find a brick or concrete single story, flat roofed building near the edge of a town and sort of close to a trader. Build your working base on the roof. Get parcour so you can jump higher. Build a ladder to access the roof and eliminate all other access points. Build your horde base nearby but in a seperate location.

    I have some BIG tips for you: - Land claim box are not only for MP mode, in SP mode you use it to prevent zombies to REspawn after you kill them if you decide to claim a house instead of building one, if you wanna build so it is useless. - We usually claim a house as a base and modify another one as a kill base for the bloodmoon on the 7th day - Quests, ALWAYS do quests because you gonna loot anyway and get alot of XP and Dukes (money) ALSO doing 10 quests the trader will give you a bycicle - Always keep itens to sell like over 40 dukes or 70 dukes you decide never scrap mods, eg. equip mods in a weapon so its value to sell will increase and skyrocket the higher the quality is - Polymer, farm this as much as possible to create the water filter so you can make the water dew or just buy the filter from the trader - Vitamins, this item can PREVENT you to get infected also cures your dysentery, once you gona make a big hard POI it's better take one of these before - Honey doesn't cure infection it reduces 5% if you have like 6% it will reduce to 1% so it's good to use it before it goes beyond 5% or take more the 1 honey after the 5% expires or cure with antibiotics - Better magazines, as you already know putting points in a specific perk will increase the odds of finding a magizine of that perk ALSO if you raid a POI of a specific magazine (shotgun messiah, gun stores for weapons, poping pills, hospitals for medicine, gas stations for veichles, tools store for tools, restaurant for food, etc.) - Noise traps, the floor is full of trash and this is a very important mechanic this game have and you should master, the trash on the floor makes noise once you step on them, you can destroy them with your tool or read a book that makes you not make noise once you walk on these noise traps - Crouch and Shoot, another important part of the noise mechanic is crouch to avoide make much noise, heavy armor make more noise too and shoot with your bow/crossbow/silenced guns on sleeping zombies to avoide make noise and make bonus damage, light also makes zombies to wakeup if you aim a flashlight at them (some times don't) also if you walk on the light zombies will see you - Heat mechanic, there is a zombie called screamer, the more heat an area produce it increases the chances of her spawning nearby and being atracted and usually at your base since you will always be crafting something and creating heat - 26:38 At this time of the video you walked by firewood, it gives stupid amount of wood for no effort to take it, it is much better than taking down a big tree so always loot it - As you know almost every poi is unique and all of them acts like a dungeon because if you notice there always a light on on these pois, this means this is the path you should follow because every door on this path will be open and you won't need to break any door also it will always lead you to the final loot. Some people also loot the entire poi or only the final loot BEFORE starting the quest by clicking on the yellow exclamation mark so the entire poi will reset and you can do your quest and loot again, we call this double loot, some people think it is cheating so they don't, and some only double loot the mail box entrance or car at the entrance to not waste time - Always create chests in front of pois you finished looting so you will never be encumbered, if you get encumbered go back to the chest, drop the loot and go back to the poi to continue your quest, do this also in front of the trader later you can do this at your base instead - Older patches we were able to build inside/around of the trader and stay there so the bloodmoon was a joke, now we can't - mushroom = food = plant in any block = infinite food - Granades, any throwable ammo you have to light up also you can hold your fire button to throw it further and if you throw a granade/pipe/molotov without lighting it up as you know it won't do anything but if you light up a new one and throw on top of it it will double explode There is more but I stopped to watch the video almost 1h30min it is too big, it would be good if you make a video of each day instead or 2 days max, I'll watch later the rest but it will be useless to give more tips since you will be already moved on and won't read anything more from this video. I hope to watch more 7D2D videos! =)

    Since you're not likely to figure it out through gameplay means, there is 1 tip I really think you should know. Land Claim blocks, they are far more useful than just just a multiplayer land claim. When you place a land claim block in you base, or a pre-existing poi, it will prevent zombies from spawning within the boundary. Also, the owner will be able to pick up and move player made crafting stations and storage chests. 1 small note, press and hold R while holding frame block to open a window to change block shape and rotation type.
