    Watched this movie in a class it's meh, but here's context: The sweet old woman decides getting a dress will fix like all her problems because it's her dream and I think she gets a bunch of her money on what appeared like a loosing horse and everyone was shocked when she won. She went to Paris to get the dress and then this scene happened. Then the dress company costume made her another dress and she was sweet and helped them sew and built bonds with them all and the whole company loved her. When she went home with the dress she wore it once and her dream was finally true. Then a younger girl came by crying about how her career was over if she couldn't find something to wear to a ball so this sweet old woman let's the young girl wear the dress despite being worried. The young girl accidentally sets the dress on fire at the ball and makes the news then just drops off the burnt ruined dress with the old woman like it wasn't a big deal. Old lady cries, gets depressed, but then it all works out cause when the dress company saw the article they realized the old woman was so nice that she lost her dream and they made her a brand new dress free of charge. Old woman happy, end of movie.

    It's true but buisness doesn't do that since they will lose buisness. My father told me you must always prioritize your regulars over newcomers. An unfortunate truth that is 100% true.

  • @suziebee4240

    @suziebee4240

    The regular buys all the top end brands. That could be the difference of a customer buying one pin accessory. Vs a regular buying the top high end dress for 12,000 every week to go to her fancy events, and brings her crew to shop with her. Would you sell that pin to the new customer? Or give it to that regular customer that wants it as a add on to her 50k purchase? Im exaggerating, the dress is probably more affordable than that.

I was not served at a Gucci store in Berlin because I was only looking at the sale items, while another customer walked in, emptied a bundle of €500 notes onto the counter out of her tiny handbag, and all the sales girls started buzzing around only her. I did not matter as a customer...and on top of that the shoes I had chosen + put aside were grabbed away from me and handed to the other customer.

    It kind of reminds me of the scene from Pretty Woman and how she was treated in a high class dress store. Never underestimate a client, they could be a billionaire but dress like a hooker. Anyway its just bad business. God bless you all.
