I’m gonna go ahead and trust Veach on this one. Seems a little too small for the NFL. Definitely have concerns about his durability. The real question is: with the stockpile of WR’s that we have, what will happen to guys like Sky Moore and Kadarius Toney?

Going to the Chiefs has to be a dream draft for this guy.

Xman was a big asset for Texas. They worked hard to find ways for him to get open against Alabama. Veach says he learns playbooks easily which is really important for us with the largest playbook in the NFL. He also can throw the ball which Andy will love for a trick play once in a while.

@@steventaylor6881 I hope you’re right. As a OU fan I naturally dislike any Texas player lol. I’m not high on Worthy & would’ve preferred AD Mitchell, Leguette, or Ladd. I just feel like those guys are better at creating separation with their routes & have much better hands. For a team that doesn’t need much, just consistency and guys who can get open at WR, worthy just seems like a risky pick when we don’t need to swing for the upside. A safer WR prospect with a bigger frame and great route runner we can rely on seems smarter as Mahomes has proved he doesn’t need superstar WR’s he just needs consistent guys. Again I know the front office is way smarter than me so I hope you’re right. He seems like the same style player as Hollywood (former Oklahoma beast) with worse hands and we already have Hollywood. Time will tell & I hope someone comes back & makes fun of me after Worthy has 800 yards and 7 TD’s this season lol. GO CHIEFS!

@@123shoshan Agree. I trust our front office but I think there’s 3-4 guys I’d rather have that were available. AD Mitchell, Ladd, Leguette, even Coleman. May as well have drafted a tackle round 1 then grab a WR round 2 with the WR depth in this class. Maybe even Cooper DeJean/Kool Aid was the right pick then waiting for OT/WR. Loved Seth Keysor's evaluation of Worthy as one of the "I'd take that dude" guys. I wasn't sold on the Chiefs taking Worthy until I watched you and Seth talking about all the WRs on Wednesday. That he runs great routes and gets open is such a plus, given that the Chiefs WRs had so much trouble getting separation last year.

Tyreek is 20lbs heavier than Worthy. That is a huge amount of weight at this size.

I am pretty happy with Xavier as our pick. Think they probably needed to move up when they did if they wanted to get him. You look at his college career and he does some great stuff in fighting for the ball and you gotta love a 12-15 yds/catch average. Andy's offense is going to be a tough transition for a Texas playbook guy, but his coaches said he was one of their hardest workers, so hopefully he can digest it. I would love for this draft to haunt every other team because Worthy landed with K.C.

Lol Rice was BETTER than Flowers this past season. Flowers played 84% snaps his first game..... while Andy Reid eases his rookies. Once Rice started consistently getting around 70%+ snap startin wk 12 he was INSTANTLY a top 5-8ish WR over his next 7 games .... & THEN broke Jamar Chases playoff rookie WR total catch record helping the Chiefs win a SB. Flowers played 80% of his teams snaps..... 900+ snaps Rice played just 55% of his teams snaps..... 622 snaps (from being held down the first 2/3rds of the season) Flowers played almost 300 MORE snaps & had MORE targets ..... yet Rice had more receptions...more receiving yards.... more TDs..... more 1st down catches Ur gonna say "he had Mahomes" right? Well - - Rice was the 12th highest rated WR .... Flowers was rated 41st - Rice was ranked 3rd in Average Seperation .... Flowers was ranked 13th - Rice was 2nd in YAC per reception ..... Flowers was 40th - Rice was 4th in Passer Rating When Targeted .... Flowers was 16th I can keep going and going and going

IM SO STOKED. This is the guy I wanted, can't wait for this offense. Rice, brown, worthy, kelce, Pop. Wooooooweeeee look out NFL.

I’m cautiously optimistic about this pick. Considering Worthy is pretty much build like me I’m a little worried about him getting injured. But if his size isn’t an issue he’ll be amazing. He played through a broken hand, so I don't really see much of an injury concern with him. He probably won't be a top target every game kind of player for a year or so in Andy's system, so he'll have plenty of time to grow into his body a bit more. He's only what, 20 years old? I was also hoping for Thomas Jr though, but I knew the damn Jags were gonna snatch him.

It's the best first round pick the Chiefs have made in 3 years, I know that for sure. The Chiefs always seem to nail picks in the mid to late rounds. So if that's the case this year, then this is lined up to be one of the best drafts they've had in the PM era.

I'm pumped! He's got the best coach in the league LFG!

I honestly like the pick considering what was left. If offence wasn't such a struggle last year I would have personally picked up Dejean but I know our scheme can utilize Worthy well. I hope his football IQ is as fast as his 40!🤞

We can no longer neglect pass protection for Mahomes. We got lucky last year. no one came through on that left side to ring Mahomes bell.

The Chiefs got exactly who I wanted them to get all along. Thomas is good but speed matters in KC and we got that.

If Xavier Worthy can catch as good as every other receiver we could have taken, I’m happy with him.

We also had a horrendous defense when Hill was here and have had a top 10 defense the last two years. Lastly yes on paper Worthy is faster but in pads Tyreek is the fastest man to ever play football. How quickly we forget or turn a blind eye to how good the Cheetah was for us.

Xavier Worthy is fast and hopefully he remains durable. Even though he didn't miss games due to injury playing in college, the NFL plays a much highert level of contact week in and week out for 18+ weeks. The other Xavier (Legette) went in the 1st round which was a mild surprise. He could be good too if developed right and if Bryce Young can stay upright and get the ball to him.

The Chiefs offensive mojo is back with a Worthy deep threat we haven't had since Tyreek Hill left for the Dolphins. I think fans will get a blast from the past this season with Mahomes stretching the field, Reed with a wide open playbook & even a few back to back TDs in 20 seconds. Thanks goes to Mr. Veach for getting the right guy with the helpful assistance of Buffalo.

If rice comes back, with hollywood and xavier, oir passing attack just got MUCH better. Xaviers and hollywoods soeed to stretch the field, rice working midrange and kelce working inside. That passing game can be lethal, which would also thin it out for pacheco for his runs.

Pretty excited to see how Rice, Hollywood, and Worthy look on the field together.

Always a lottery feel to the draft but no real shooting in the foot like these other teams. This still allows some cap money for that notorious LT. With the LT in the bag, the 3 Peat would definitely be even more solid!

I guess this next season we'll be more interested watching the punts, cause now we have the punt god Araiza and a pretty good punt returner......we may see some good punt plays defensive and offensive.

We know that Veach and Reid and crew have done their research. They know their team better than anyone. Including chemistry and personality. Also, I heard that Mahomes had a voice as well. No one knows how any of the picks in the draft are going to pan out. There might be a lot of busts. Then there will likely be some diamonds in the rough show themselves like a Nacua and Pacheco. Can you imagine though Travis Kelce having more clear path freedom because teams have to pay attention to and respect Hollywood Brown, Worthy and Rice? Don’t forget Pacheco in that equation too. All of these guys in Mahomes and Reid’s arsenal is not what opposing teams want to see. Then coupled with the defense that can put the ball in the offenses hands more often means that there’s a good chance that the offense and Patrick Mahomes will have one of the league’s most productive and dominant offenses in the league as well as one of the most dominant defenses in the league. There’s more draft left. It will be interesting to see what Veach and Reid can do with the remaining picks. They do as well or better than anyone in the league with their later round pick finds. Sure, like every team, there’s picks that don’t work out. Remember though that new picks often times must beat out more experienced and older players to make the team. Also remember that when you have the championship team you pick last each round unless there’s a trade. When you’re last pick or close to it for several years running then other teams typically should have an advantage over you. The Chiefs seem to have a system to work through that. It’s tough to stay on top. When you win then all players want more money. The Hard cap in the NFL limits how much a team can pay. It takes some genius and also some player humility and willingness to work with the team system to make it so the team as a whole stays strong. So far, the Chiefs formula has worked and has worked better than any other team since the Patriots winning teams. Gotta love and trust Reid and Veach and Mahomes.

Above and beyond the short contracts, I feel like Rice's extracurricular situation definitely pushed the Chiefs towards this pick. I was kind of hoping for a bigger bodied receiver like Mitchell. Basically the team has two Hollywood Browns, but his speed cannot be ignored. We might be in for a big Mahomes year with the deep threat back in the playbook. Tbh i dont like Mitchell due to character concerns. They say his mood swings are caused in part due to his diabetes, but the Chiefs already have their hands full with character questionable WRs

@@Rylopero As a person who got to see Georgia play several times a season I can absolutely agree with your statement. They're saying he's going to Buffalo...watch him and Josh Allen ball out!! Ladd McConkey is such a good person also, hard worker and humble. Whoever gets Ladd is getting a great player on and off the field. Not mad about this pick but did we really need to give up a third round to move up 4 spaces? OT has to be addressed.

@@Rylopero I get you, I think we got the better Texas WR. I'm thinking the team needs a DK Metcalf-type WR. Big, fast, good hands. Kelce embodies that, but anybody that's watched this team for any length of time saw a marked drop-off in his play last year. He's getting old and life starts to just hurt after a while (ask me how I know).

Great pick and the bonus of special teams and wide receiver with one pick means Buffalo just went further behind them and makes the Chiefs lethal enough to win at all 3 phases offense defense and special teams a lot easier and I do think he is the next desean Jackson but the chiefs version the three peat is now very likely a lock.for 9th division title 7th AFC championship game and 3 peat even though we miss Rice for up to 8 games and we got Tyreek.speed -- good luck and Patrick could now easily 5000 yards for a 3rd time

KC now has dangerous speed again. I don't know if he's Worthy of this pick or if he'll pan out but teams will be forced to play us differently this year. We have the YAC monster in Rice and two deep threats who can go deep and actually catch. Of course El Travador is there to molest zones and over the middle. If the X-Man can learn quick and get in on some quality snaps for us this offense is WIDE OPEN once again....
