i don’t know who threw away the templates that made the 2000s NFS’s so addictive and ahead of its time but they should’ve kept it, and just continue it with how ever many different devs they hire throughout 10 years. the identity of Need For Speed has been dormant for quite some time. the atmosphere, the night drag races, the soundtracks, the head to head races, and the cops actually being a challenge but not extremely difficult when you change heat levels. and having incomplete games doesn’t help

No one threw away the templates. It’s more so that the templates won’t sell well today. What made old NFS so great was that the single player experience was top notch and replayable. The only true multiplayer those NFS games had was split screen. This actually made them good. Ever since online multiplayer has become the focus of racing games, I feel the games have lacked quality and replayability.

@@keegangossett2896 as a future programmer, i’m sure you can fine a way to appeal both sides of the playerbase online and single player like GT is finally doing. the devs keep fumbling the bag while EA gives them little time and cuts the game off. true, now multiplayer is all people care about nowadays, that was the pressure put on FM8 on launch because in previous games, it was garbage.

It was Black Box that had made NFS to be in their prime since Hot Pursuit 2 and then died after The Run sadly. Had they still been around we'd still be having good games or at least help Ghost and Criterion better the current games we have now.

People keep acting like everyone was kicked out or left when some are still there, just because there games were considered the best in the past or seen as such doesn't mean they can easily pull that off again now.

The next game definitely gotta fix the matchmaking, I’m sick of getting into races with 2 or 3 people and then 1 of them leaves. I would also love ranked playlists because whenever I do get more than 4 people almost all them are terrible lol. I would love for them to instead of nerfing cars like the Regera, they should buff cars.

Or just use vehicles that aren't just the best in every single class🤷 I tend to have a lot of fun in unbound in nearly every single race I start up gets full in every lobby. Also I drive manual so it is honestly more challenging because I'm already knowing over half of the NFS community plays in automatic and honestly I have never drove in manual before so it is funny watching me crash into the walls😂. My own opinion but I don't think these vehicles necessarily need buffs it's just that the testarossa, golf and Porsche needs to be nerfed because those are the main manufacturers I see in the front position. And don't even get me started on how the skyline can easily slide in every single class except S+. We don't need more buffed vehicles we need the top five vehicles in every class to be nerfed in that way every other vehicle will have a chance because I'm already knowing if I see a testarossa in any class that is not s Plus and I'm not in the testarossa myself. I'm going to lose

@@Itz_Puxe thats true, and I tend to use weaker cars. For A+ the Rossa does not need 210 top speed I agree and 174 at A. As far as Porches are concerned I think only a few of them are any good. The 911 (2018) GTS is the best overall Porche especially in S. But like some cars *do* need buffs. The Charger, Challenger, 35, 350, and a few others desperately need buffs because they suck.

Recently I've been scouting the map for good lap/race locations and honestly they had to put effort into how lazy they made races. I can see they said "we dont have to make any more than the bare minimum, just use races from other classes"

Yeah there are so many places for great courses its insanely disappointing especially for off road. There’s no real off road racing in the game which is sad.

Started watching Theo when he used to make NFS 2015 and I am still here watching his content

Yet we STILL cant restart the damn story mode.

I would like the option to fine filter cars in my garage, for example for specific brand, tier (I know it is in the game but for some reason it does not apply in the owned cars category, just in buy or sell), and whatever else. I do not buy any more cars because it is hard to access them.

Im loving motorfest but probably have not had more fun playing any games than i did with a full 8 person lobby on a rumble Playlist.. it just happened so rarely that i haf to be done with unbound.. the perfect game would take the pros of both these games

honestly I agree with you about some kind of game mode that's how rockstar has made so much money on gta online because they make and make adversary modes and a lot of other stuff.

Know what? The comment you made towards the end of them potentially adding something like a “cop mode”, that would be a great idea to add to the game at this point! Specially if they could do it in a way where you had a miniature cop career/story line. Where you start in a crappy cop vehicle and catch racers. As you make more arrest, do better in chases, and take down bigger heated racers you get into better and better patrol vehicles. Just would be a cool take and give players who have already beat the game another thing to do/work for and give new players even more content to work through. Plus, I don’t know that a game has ever really given that side of the gameplay so not only would it be a completely unique aspect of the game but possibly a first in a street racing game. NFS has obviously had modes where you’re the cops on Hot Pursuit or whatever but street racing it’d be a first I feel.

I love unbound I don’t play it often but it’s always a fun time when I do

i hope they make a audi dlc pack before the new game in nfs 2015 they did not had audi or aston martin but payback bought them back

I think the main reason for this is they are expecting alot of people to buy unbound on a black friday sale, coincidentally releasing all past DLC the same day, pretty clever ill give them that.

they better release a complete edition considering the amount of cars (*ahem* kit) as DLC is getting as close as most wanted

Tried this game last night and played for an hr. It’s gonna be hard to play again… the drift mechanic is tough as I kept crashing when it went into a drift when I was trying to brake. Any tips?

don't use muscle cars in early game, try the volkswagen gti(the old one), it is a decent and cheap car for early gameplay

For drifting, get a RWD/AWD car, set the handling for neutral and the downforce all the way down to low. This will give it a nice balance and make relatively easy to control and hold drifts without gripping up too much or just spinning out.

If you have drifting, deactivated INMEDIATELY the B2d in the tuning menu for every car. If you want a much better experience, turn off the Traction Control and use grip tires. Trust me. The game becomes surprisingly more fun with this.

The general rule is either go for a drift build or a grip build. Neutral like said above is slow and difficult to drive... Nobody does that...

there is so many things they could have and still do.....i just want a ranked system and a drag racers and one that you can just randomly activate against other players

I agreed, after you gain Yas back as a friend they should go after Alec and it starts a turf war, could also play into some multiplayer activities and takeover events / community events.

I don’t care for online multiplayer. So I’m kinda glad these cars were added back as DLC. I didn’t spend anytime in that mode.

I enjoyed this game while it lasted. Every time I try to play the game now, my saved data gets corrupted over a stupid wrap on my Urus. There always a issue with this game

I don't know what it is, but I cannot get into Motorfest. The sense of speed and the car customizations and part upgrades in NFS unbound are just way better than any racing game out there.

they should go a lil sci fi and add a nemesis system with these otherworldly car parts that do interesting abilities. or make a nfs sci fi type game ain't seen anyone pull this off and have a big fan base yet.

I really hope they do another update this game has been really fun and I played it ever since it came out the story was a challenge and the cops were pretty easy. I really wish they would make the cops better and make them hit your car more but yeah ever since the volume updates were going I would always go to the patch notes and they never ever buff the cops but yeah really great game so sadly it fell off.

I agree, buy speed pass on release with +10sp levels or wait untill it ends and buy it for the same price anyway and unlock everything, these legendary custom packs & catch up packs are literally pay to NOT play.

@@OSHSTO You are not taken away the option to play and progress the speed pass for the car, on top of the fact that you have to wait for a new update to pay for the speed pass car. There shouldn't be any exclusivity to a game people pay money for, especially if it is a AAA game. Add the fact that someone could buy the game way after it stopped receiving updates, what then? Let's stop promoting such scummy tactics. It would have actually been better if you wouldn't have had to pay for any of the speed pass cars at all at any point in time, or everyone would have had to pay for them from the start, simply to make it fair for everyone. I for one already own all three of them, and I wouldn't have minded them giving the cars away for free. Remember people, it's a game, not even a popular one realistically speaking, stop pretending that it's more than just that.

@@Kiergura The part I was agreeing with was the fact that there is almost no reason to play if you can buy the content anytime you like and still get everything. You might aswell buy the game in 5 years with all the content at a huge discount. For the people who play the game alot and / or have spent top money to support the game then they should be compensated in some way, ie body kits and such. If people where to buy the game 1 year after release (when they dropped the catch up dlc) then they mustnt be to bothered about missing out. On the other hand I do think is a good idea to allow people that opinion to buy and catch up, I just think they go about it in the wrong way and should have more clarity on what they plan for the future.

fomo pass i feel needs a revamp in the way its delivered, they want us to play their games respect our time, make them all unlockable an you just press which one you want to level up when you can, this counts for when they release just stack them ontop of the other work out a system that lets you grind in your own time towards a goal you want, this isnt just need for speed its every game, im sure more people would play if they could do this instead of just missing out completely

I may have an idea as to why they're doing this. So, one of EA's mobile gaming cash cows is the mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. And in early October they had released an experiment called Lightspeed Bundles. They essentially have these Meta characters which are uncontested, but they require lots of characters to be maxed to the limit in order to unlock them. So, the Lightspeed Bundles offer most if not all of the required characters at the exact required level *(which when amassed can cost around thousands of dollars total)* for the price of 10 bucks. There was one which did cost about 60 dollars, but that's cuz it pretty much unlocked the target character immediately, as for the rest, you'd still have a bit of grind to do. Needless to say, the experiment was a *massive* success. So it's likely that EA is trying to do that with their other titles

Till this day I never understood why they nerfed the Koenigsegg Regera, understandably so the car was rather powerful but then again we have the Bugatti Chiron that not only says it can reach speeds of 260+ while the Regera, I believe can only reach 250+, but as far as I know, the Bugatti never got touched. Some cars definitely should’ve been buffed so that they could compete with the Regera because even after the nerf, I think it’s still the best S+ car in the game whereas the Bugatti or any other S+ car struggles to even keep up with it. Or they could have the system that the crew motorfest has where if a car is considered a Hypercar, Street Level Car, etc, it can reach the highest speed of that category.

I just hope the crew 2 & motorfest do this kind of thing, sometimes its very hard and sweatty to reach platinum in tge summit, they can do the same but … 🌚💔

All crew 2 summit vehicles get and are getting reruns. Right now, it's so easy to get platinum, that it's currently impossible to get bronze if you participate on PS4/PS5, as there's not enough players to rank that low. There's literally a new vehicle, and platinum doesn't even require you finish the whole summit.

@RayZ__5 It's a new game. So it will obviously take time before they do reruns. But if think logically, and you look at TC2, you should be able to get a clue about how they will handle things with Motorfest.

i feel nfs can make their own racing esports of 6 players tournaments on s+ cars, the handling of those cars on esports should be properly balanced, the cops should be a lot tougher during esports tournaments races, the main tournament races should be 3 races one different tracks, 3 laps , first top 3 wins, the esports tournaments of nfs unbound would have 7 groups of 7 players each, each nfs player must get up to 10 points of wining three races each on every group they are in, the top 3 players of each group would qualify for race nfs top qualifiers tournaments, now for the top qualifiers tournaments, top players must get 15 points, after winning 5 races against other players, top 3 winners of those races would finaly be at the finals... so what do u think... nfs unbound could work on something

When this game come to Switch? Why any of modern NFS games didn't got Switch ports, they have ported Hot Pursuit Remastered, but not any Heat or Unbound, why? I feel its possible, and know its possible, in 2023 its more possible than not, but why not?

I am so happy they brought out this dlc as i am only missing the ford legendary custom because i refused to pay for it back in the first speed pass, not realising they would remove the car afterwards, i thought they would still keep the speed pass car as a separate dlc after. This being fantastic news i cant help but think they do not want people to play the game at all, you can buy the speed pass (legendary custom & +10sp levels) when a new one is released or you can wait untill it ends, buy it for the same price and unlock everything anyway.

As they make new games, people will hate or like the game, it may start the hype, but will fall down later on.

Just make the matchmaking "normal" there is no sense to close that to 16players.. Make it like in forza, nfs world, the crew.. any other game "searching for players" style, add "Quick race" option Add possibility to race concrete race and SEARCH FOR PLAYERS who want the same race. They can think sometimes How the game with 16players only can be alive ??

Merge Palmont City, Rockport just like the nfs world map, but also add "Tri-City" from Undercover (as it was revealed by the community that highways to Rockport were cut content). Tri-City honestly isn't that bad layout-wise, just needs a few tweaks. Make it so that the original story takes place in Rockport and Palmont city during the day without the canyon levels. Then make a new campaign which takes place in Palmont city and Rockport city at night, including canyons. Make it longer, they can include the territories mechanic but it has to be fun. IMHO it was a good idea just with terrible execution. Tri-City can have a hot pursuit 2 style campaign, and then you can have an open world multiplayer game in the rest of the area.

it's a good thing... until you realize what was the plan : introduce fomo content to keep the players in the game and once they're gone instead of adding them back for free in the game with some challenges just resell it as a paid dlc to play even more with the fomo (so it's basically the same scam as the dlc with the heat bodykits), this is very scummy and it shouldn't be praised

We should have the liberty to choose if we want to race, do linkups or just roam around the map. They should find a way to integrate all of this in one, for example, that you are in a session but when you search for races it can take you to another one to match with racers. The same for linkups and so on.

They wanted the crew 2 type treatment... But as you can see... The players somewhat didnt like the idea... Now im not oposing amyhting here... I like the idea... But i agree with the critics
