4:53 really highlights the difference between a good player and a bad player. A bad player would have had their Gix removed by the opponent. A good player means the opponent doesn't have removal in hand. Masterful play.

If you're skim reading the card (trying to respect opponent's time), you might not notice the (2) in "Ward - (2), pay 2 life". Arena's "are you sure?" prompt doesn't save you because it's become a reflex to click yes when you know it's because there is _a_ ward ability.

@@bukkfrig I'm still honestly surprised because there's the animation for ward pulsing on the card the whole time like a warning for people who don't read. At that point they should just remove the "do you wanna do this?" prompt and let people make mistakes. Its what happens in magic.

It's not unheard of. Just the other day an opponent tried to target my Vain Ripper and did not have a creature out to pay the ward cost.

@@KiuhKobold I think they actually did remove that. There was a video Nummy did in the early access stream where he targeted something with ward and the message didn't pop up.

I’ve been addicted to skeletons for the past couple months and I’m SO glad there’s a new skeleton that doesn’t enter tapped

I think the skeleton deck is a lot better in historic/explorer tbf. You get skeletal swarming, clattering augur, mutavault, thoughtseize, etc.. Really fun deck in my experience. Would be cool if LVD checked it out some time.

I’ve been having some fun with the lost souls skeletons already, excited to improve upon it with this deck!

Man I really missed these early views on the last set release. Glad we got one for this set.

You could even say that they're... skele-fun.

The enchantment is an insane lord. No toughness bonus but haste, a separate permanent and the self bounce are all great. It only lacked members of the tribe but now it has enough. This deck seems to have real legs for future standard Or should I say, femur and tibia

looks like a fun tribal deck i wont have the rare wildcards for ^^

This deck can be lights peed gas at times. Scary fast. I saw CGB crushing ass in the event with the skelly deck. 😅😂

8:55 Keeping a 3 mana card on top of your library instead of digging for your third land seems absolutely insane to me. ESPECIALLY when you would have been able to cast their Gix if you drew a land.

Not when he had good board presence with double removal in hand. The 3 mana card presents an extra hasty threat to cross the finish line.

True, although giving them all those Treasures early also could’ve backfired. They likely wanted to trade right away.

@LegenVD true, but you did take either 9 or 12 damage from it and it blocked at the end saving them another 4 damage. I'm not sure if they would have even blocked and have it die to tinybones Edit: also once they got the cauldron out, it was making treasures being alive

Have been using it as well recently but I almost forgot Mishra's Foundry was a card. Did you get a chance to try Rush of Dread?

Thanks for the reply but I usually get this videos in my subscriptions or home. Going through the steps you described takes pretty much the same time as skipping a few seconds trough the video. Maybe a small icon in the thumbnail, like the black mana symbol or even smaller. Regular viewers could easily figure out which icon is for which format
