Filoni dropping the line "the Heir to the Empire" is such a Dave Filoni thing. Giving a respectful nod to the origin of that character is totally in character for him. Even though according to Kennedy there are no expanded universe they can use.

Retired paratrooper here: that shoulder buckle is a canopy release assembly from (in my time) a T-10B parachute. It let us dump one side after landing, so the canopy wouldn’t inflate and drag us along the ground. We did not use before landing LOL.

Actually thought it was Mara Jade for a second when they showed Sabine from the side with the long red hair, cause I didn't see her mando helmet, but yeah, hope they get Talon Card and Mara for Dave's mando movie, as well as deepfaked and AI voiced Han, Luke, and Leia, 5 years after ROTJ.

​Mara Jade isn't Canon maybe still is theory about that time when she was helping Luke and Ladno looking for Jedi Hunter Ochi. I would stick with the fact that Star Wars Legends is commendable. And Star Wars Canon is good and shows more that Luke is human and not someone who is above Gods. Because yes, Disney made Rey a strong character, but not to the point where she literally opened a black hole and threw things into it. !!?? :C They showed that he will disappoint, which was clear because he was on his own despite many circumstances, phenomena and the like, but at least it shows how we like him as a person who makes mistakes. I don't want to say that I prefer Rey, it's not my favorite, it's Ben because I like watching a person's psyche, why they act the way they do,... It's best to explain it to you anyway.

That droid at the end. "Perhaps it is time to begin again." That is Huyang, master of Lightsabers. He was the droid that for over a hundred generations or so has taught youngling Jedi how to build their lightsabers. He was in Clone Wars.

When Ahsoka said “Heir to the Empire” I LOST IT. That’s a reference to the Thrawn trilogy of novels from Legends which chronologically speaking, is around the same time as the Mandoverse and as a huge fan of said novels, I’ve wanted them adapted in some capacity for years

They should have put "Warrior" "Outcast" "Rebel" "Citizen"

They're not, we already know their names. The guy is Baylan Skoll ( Ray Stevenson ) and the girl is Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakkhno). In Norse mythology Skoll and Hati are wolves who chase The Sun and The Moon.

First, I absolutely love your Cal Kestis cosplay, Clarus. Second, I really enjoyed seeing you two reaction to this teaser for Ahsoka's Disney Plus series. Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla already look so incredible in live-action. Also, I was quite surprised that Huyang from TCW is appearing in this.

This is SO much fun, watching you react to Ahsoka. I was the same. When I first started watching The Clone Wars...I used to complain to Marie about Ahsoka calling Anakin, "sky guy". And felt vindicated when he called her "Snips". She was whiney and obnoxious. Then, like you...about Season 3 I started to really see the growth and breadth of the character...and NOW, my two favourite characters in Star Wars are (hold onto your seat), Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka. Twins (you and me)! Seeing Hera, Chopper, Sabine, and did you see Ezra (the holocube dude that Sabine was looking and talking at). Then seeing the back of Thrawn. Yeah, so cool. The Sith look great...and love how Ahsoka is looking in this series. She's such a BOSS. Hearing "Heir to the Empire" was SO cool. Love that book (trilogy). For all lovers of the Legends books...that was such a great nod to us. Genevieve O'Rielly - Mon Mothma. That is so cool...the history of her involvement in Star Wars is epic. Thanks for the reaction. Nerdy, cry all you want. You are surrounded by fans and family (within Star Wars). We "get" you and YOU are one of us. Talk to you, later.

@@preciousotoakhia9789 - I agree...and then...the Filoni directed culimination/crossover event movie is going to be bonker (great/awesome). We are living in a good time for Star Wars content. Novels, TV series and movies.

Some of these scenes could be flashbacks so Mon Mothma could be a flashback.

I think that the 26 yrs estimated time gap between Andor and Ahsoka might be too long. I thought Andor was taking place a few years before Rogue One, which takes place immediately before the start of the original trilogy. Mando/Ahsoka are taking place a decade after the end of the original trilogy, so I'd put the gap somewhere around 12-15 years.

I literally teared up when I watched the trailer. I teared up again seeing Nerdy tear up. 😂 But incidentally, "Heir To The Empire" is the name of the first novel, not the entire trilogy.

Ahsoka is my favorite character and I will definitely cry every episode. I was hyped for this before and I was worried I was too hyped and it would disappoint me but the trailer was insane and now I am more hyped. August is to far away.

This trailer was EVERYTHING I could've wished for. I'm glad I wasn't the only one just freaking out all throughout the trailer!

Re:- aging - Keep in mind that Ian McDiarmid (Senator Palpatine / Darth Sidious / Emporer Palpatine) was in The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 (actually added in in the 2004 remaster) and Return of the Jedi in 1983 then in The Phantom Menace in 1999 then in The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. It is fair to say that he was 'de-aged' in the prequels and sequels, but he was the same character nonetheless Grand Moff Tarkin, on the other hand, was CGI'd as the actor - Peter Cushing - was no longer "available" due to his death in 1994. Genevieve O'Reilly (Mon Mothma) is Irish, which can only mean one thing - The Brits are IMMORTAL! Except Peter Cushing... Peter Cushing died!

I will love Ray Stevenson forever due to the relationship him and Kevin McKidd created in HBO's Rome. He looks awesome as like a Sith Juggernaut. He and Kevin McKidd aren't strangers to Star Wars; they voiced Mandalorians in that arc on Rebels. Cool that ray gets to be in live action, hopefully we get some Kevin McKidd as Fenn Rau in Mandalorian ssn3 since he was aligned with Bo Katan last we saw him. It is wild how young Mon looks, maybe it is flashback but it could always be that she is rich like y'all are saying.

Getting Kevin Mckidd on Star Wars ASAP

We got Sabine looking hot with long hair. Got dark side santa and hot dark side blond....Thrawn and his blue self.....No rex so far Ezra in hologram? All in a teaser ...Got me riled up for sure. I love it. I love seeing females be badass. The closest for me seeing Leia kicking ass with lightsabers except the small flashabck of course. Ahsoka duel weilding. Yup awesome stuffs. I have waited 30 years for this..let the haters hate ...not me.

Its funny at first i find Ahsoka quite anoing and really come to hate her during season 1+2 but in each new season after that she grew on me and now she is one of my most favorite Star Wars characters ever.

Yeah, the first time I watched the trailer it looked like Mon Mothma hadn't aged at all but if you look closely you can see she's older, but still not much!

Thoses were Dark Jedis. Sith and Dark Jedi are trained and molded differently. some theorize they are somehwhat of an ''evolution" of the Sith and Jedi, giving rise to Grey Jedis, which havent been seen in thousands of years. Others theorize that thoses are Agents of the New order, part of the knights of Ren, their mission probably being to destabilize the new republic before its arrival. Thats assuming this happens around the same time as The Mandalorian, which many hints point that it does. namely the ''Heir to the Empire'' which makes sense AFTER Palpatine's death.

I liked the fact it showed them attacking imperial and Republic troops. I'd guess Thrawn is using them to bring warlords to heel and destabilize the Republic at the same time. That feels like the move of a strategist who is rebuilding the imperial forces would do. But I can be wrong, just excited to see how it plays out.

Haven't been excited like this for Star Wars since the Prequels came out. "Heir to the Empire" remake, essentially, but with my favorite character in all of Star Wars....Huyang. lol. It looks like their dipping back into the time travel part of Rebels, and maybe they can just Retcon all of the prequels with Mary "Rey" Sue. One can dream....

Mon must have the best bacta tank.

They're not Sith, they're dark Jedis. And there's only one Darksaber, which was created by Tarre Vizsla.

My God, do you think those force users can be from the Imperial Harvest program, just like the birthday of Jedi master Eeth Koth's child should have been after Vader killed him and the Inquisitors took his daughter, so she should have been included there. We saw something similar in Rebels and it was mentioned in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Show. They were to become Imperial spies. With basic skills and strength training. Ps even more is the official confirmation of the orange color of the lightsaber Cal Kestis was the first and these are the next. But I hope they will focus on the fact that, unlike other Imperials, Thrawn is not a villain. And I also like the return of Morgan Elsbeth, one of the last Nightsisters. 😮😉🤔😊😍🤩

Lets just say when I saw Thrawn I needed a new pair of pants....and chair and a brain.
