I remember going to Cereal Adventure, too! I was like 4 and I distinctly remember the giant cheerios and crawling in the hive. In fact, I annoyed my older cousin who was tasked to watch me by refusing to leave the hive when it was time to go, giggling all the while. Good times! Thanks for bringing back the memories, Scott!
“Meet you at the Rainforest Cafe” gave me flashbacks to Eddy and Ted’s videos
Cereal adventure actually seemed like it would have been fun as a kid in the same way that a cheaper heavilly commercialized version of the smaller exibits at the Boston Museum of Science were when my school took their annual trip. None of it is overly flashy or exciting but it was all pretty cool. Alot of the attractions seemed like the "we have the boston museum of science at home" version of a lot of the stuff that I experienced there.
@CleverUsername69420

Ugh the museum of Science is amazing. Would’ve loved to go on a field trip there for school
Scott feeling bad about making his grandma spend a lot of money on him is how I feel when I look back on memories as a kid. Everybody knows kids just want things and put no thought into how money works or how much things cost. But when I think back to myself doing that, I feel awful lol I remember crying one time because my dad didn’t buy me a dog (that was well over $2000 btw), and thinking back on that, I feel bad for even complaining about it lol like, my dad felt terrible for not being ABLE to get me that dog. And me crying put him in an uncomfortable position where he was forced to break my heart. And honestly, that was on me. That was like 20 years ago, and I feel horrible for the way I acted when I was 5 lol
When you mentioned the log chute ride, I instantly nodded in recognition. I'm nearby the Twin Cities area too, so I've been on that ride many times as a kid. I remember when Cereal Adventure was a thing too. There's still a box of Cheerios with a picture of me as a kid somewhere in my mother's house
Me: Scott you need to take us to cereal adventure... Scott: *Tries to take us to Cereal Adventure* Me: Thank you for trying scott

yeah there were 3 of those parks around the country. 2 are completely closed & one is technically closed; it has turned into a bird sanctuary but some of the structures are still there including the dinosaur slide. i think there's videos of them on youtube, at least of the one that's partially open.
Everyone should go watch Scott's skit on his second channel. It's an incredibly well done skit calling out strange but common occurrences in American media whilst being funny.
Even though he didn’t get to see cereal adventure one last time, it was worth it to see the smile on his face. And the fear from Paul Bunyan.

I live in Minneapolis Minnesota and I went here growing up. I have very fond memories of it. @@Jhfisibejoso8pkabrvo2is8 We lost much of the charm going from Camp Snoopy to Nickelodeon. But we gained two coasters and a few neat new flat rides plus managed to save the Log Chute, so it's a bit mixed. The biggest ride loss from Camp Snoopy was the simulator theater, which was torn down to be replaced by the park's signature coaster. They've since added in a few new simulator rides - a Soarin'-like ride and some smaller ones - but those are all a seperate upcharge while Snoopy's was part of the main park.
Another person bringing back The Rainforest Cafe! Ted would be proud 🥲
This video gives me that warm childhood feeling of being surrounded by the grain. ❤️
Growing up close to MOA, I can agree with the fear of the animatronics on the log ride. I hide every time I go by babe the blue ox because it randomly sprays water out of its nose and that is horrifying.
As a Minnesotan who went to MOA soooo many times this video made me feel unreasonably happy. I love your videos so much and it’s awesome to have more Midwest creators showcasing our unique culture LOL ♥️ Keep up the amazing vids!!!
I wish I could go back to those days… when we were surrounded by the grain, not a care in the world
A core memory I have is Camp Snoopy turning into Nickelodeon land, top 5 greatest betrayals of all time. Also MOA is amazing, instead of having 100's of different stores, they have like 2 of every major chain. They used to have three whole gamestops in one building, wild stuff.
Scott, I live in the south metropolitan area of St.Paul and I always thought cereal adventure was some fever dream from when I was 5 because I couldn’t quite remember all about it. This video brought back so much nostalgia. Great work as always!

Your mustache gives me "retired cop dad grilling dogs at a home bbq" vibes. Love it.
Sometimes when you pour grain, like when they dump grain on farm from the silos, for some reason it can flare up and cause a fire. I don’t know the science behind it, I just wanted to say that lady going “the kids love it” as the grain is dumping onto the clear ceiling makes me think that could be a really dangerous idea and huge fire hazard 😅

"Why am I wearing this stupid shirt anyways? Captain Crunch isn't even a General Mils - he's a dang Quaker Oats character for goodness sake." LOL, best part of the video!
In Ireland we have a theme park dedicated to the Tayto Man, a giant Crisp/Potato Chip man, legend has it if you bow the knee and sacrifice one of your newborns to him he'll give you the most flavoursome cheese and onion crisps in all the land. But seriously...it's a theme park about crisps hahaha

My fight-or-flight instincts kicked in when I saw Scott in the Rainforest Cafe (from watching Ted and Eddy's videos).
The PBS segment did them dirty, this place was way cooler in my memories, but then again I was probably 10. I went to Cereal Adventure MULTIPLE times as a kid, I freakin loved that place & even made my own custom cereal - I still have the empty customized box in my basement lol. I live about 15 min from MOA and visit often, I forget it’s like a tourist destination and not just my local mall, in fact I worked there for many years as a performer at Nickelodeon Universe (pssst stop asking Squidward to dab, we want to but aren’t allowed anymore 🙃)

Interesting that General Mills were in direct competition with Kellogg’s Cereal City USA in the cereal amusement park business. Which Kellogg’s won as it closed in 2007. The fact that you said these look like vacation Bible school decorations brought back such a vivid core memory. I literally hate and love you for that at the same time. I literally went to vacation Bible school in a town that literally my grandpa helped build literally the church was the only thing in the town besides a gas station the church was also my school I went to school in the church basement and every year we would have vacation Bible school on the week of my birthday in June and it made me so angry because I'd have to be at church every day during my birthday week listening to stupid Bible stories i already learned in school at the same place and the decorations were literally always just tissue paper. Like one year we did the Olympics as the theme and we had like the torch that they have for the Olympics, and it was literally just as tissue paper and for the medals, it was literally just cardboard circles with numbers drawn on it attached to a ribbon
Was literally waiting for someone good to upload, thanks babe
