My step father went out that way to prospect once. He found no gold, just hundreds and hundreds of little copper rectangles about 1X3cm with the words "DICK HEAD" punched into every one.

With illegal metal detectoring in parks in the UK, people started press ing washers and penny coins into the ground. this made it impossible to use a metal detector.

  • @laptopdragon

@@blackcountryme seems like it would still "be possible" to use metal detectors. Maybe even recollecting the washers and pennies only to sell them back to those who would plant them again?

Loving seeing more of Mick and Gadsey. You three seem to have a blast when you out. I'm sure there must be some funny out takes with "boys being boys" stuff. Fern has such a personality, I love here antics even though it may frustrate you at times. Keep up the good work you guys.

I liked the support for your classifier. As my Dad always said - "Necessity is the Mother of invention." There are lots of gold prospecting shows on youtube, Chris. In my humble opinion, yours is the best. Your shows consistently show us... how to have a good time and enjoy a hobby, rather than hitting the streambed with a greedy, get-rich-quick, scheme. Keep it up!!

Being an ex-body and fender repair man I would suggest taking a slide hammer and weld a punch onto the end to break away the "concrete ". Might save the eyes and the "fly away " materials(gold). Love the dedication bro!!

I started planning and prospecting last summer. I'm in PA, USA. I'm having fun doing it and I hope to find a flake, or spell, someday. I'm doubtful in this area but I believe if I keep working ok my panning and reading the rivers I'll get weekday in looking for. You guys have helped me to get the fever to just so gold in my pan. Anyway, I'll keep learning from all you guys on KZread. Thanks for the inspiration.

Even helping with the exploration. Just an incredible amazing side kick. Loved your video Chris. Really great job with Fern, glad to see her taking a more active role. Ya did a great job mate. What you want for getting at those conglomerates is a tool the old timers called a driving mallet which is basically a sledgehammer with one end shaped like a cone that allows you to attack the face effectively and use the flat side to break up any chunks
