@@kingofgrim4761 spright is so nerfed already in master duel, i really wanted the lv2 tear monster to come back to 1 at least, don't think there is any problem in master duel to give tear a little boost, ishizu is dead and there is quite a lot of purrely and kashtira, also lots of bystial for the d-links, branded and some synchro players using them too, so i think it would be just fine (but they could ban all the remaining ishizu cards just to be sure)

It looks like a really good banlist. I’m just curious what Ib could do in this era of Yu-Gi-Oh!. I’m aware it was a very powerful card, I used it. But I don’t know what kind of strategies could run it considering the strongest decks now. I think I’ll have to see what the content creators or people on twitter do with it.

She's a busted card in general due to how splashable she is, but now her pay offs and her partner in crime are gone, so I guess she wouldn't do much outside of world legacy decks (mekk knight, crusadia, world chalice, orcust, krawler)

Absolute W list bringing back Harp. Time for me to get on that Orcopium grindset!

When Tidal comes off the list, I will be worried because it has easily the most splashable effect. Redox is a reborn that I can see being played in any Earth deck that has room in it. I am an unabashed D-Ruler fan so I am glad to see them coming back.

I don't know the TCG too much but these seem like very interesting changes to the said banlist. The only one I question with what I know is why is Upstart at 3 randomly a big deal aside from Sky Striker considering it's at 3 in MD and I have hardly ever seen it be used.

Mostly for the Exodia boomers who want to pile as many draw spells as possible together, to make a bad Exodia deck. That, and the like 2012 deckbuilding theory that you should always run 3 Upstart to see your starters as often as possible by playing 37 cards rather than 40. Unfortunately for these 2 groups, Ash and Droll exist.

Honestly, Shifter is fine. It locks both players out of the GY so it can't be player everywhere without caution, and it punishes GY spam decks hard, wich in general are BS to play against.

@@joanaguayoplanell4912the issue is the only decks that play it are decks that don’t care about the graveyard at all, or can do just fine routes without it, whereas for the opponent it’s a turn skip if it resolves against the right deck. It’s objectively unfair

@@seliteguitarist3664 Plus the main enabler of the deck, Launcher, is still at 1. If Launcher ever came back at more than 1 with Archfiend at 3 then we would have a problem.

The thing with Infernity Archfiend is that Lawnchair is still at 1 so the bullshit is still limited. I am shocked that Kirin didn't get unbanned since there is new Majespecter support coming out. If they were going to bring back Snatch Steal, at least they banned Isolde because fuck that.

Even as a Lab and Eldlich player, I love that they hit the gozen rivalry TCBOO all in one go. Fuck those cards man. So much unfun. I’m glad they hit those instead of the Lab engine. Honestly strange that Skill Drain and ASF didn’t get limited too, but I suppose that is because they have more limited applications and aren’t as splashable (in the case of Skill Drain) or are absolutely useless going second as well as really don’t help “stun” decks much (in the case of ASF)

This banlist was Konami's kindest late christmas gift they could ever give to us. We may no longer have such decent banlists for a while

I think people are underestimating the unlimited upstart goblin. 40 cards now is 37, without considering the other pot cards in the game. Things going to be even faster now

It's worth considering that Droll has been eating good for a bit now, and while a 37 card deck is good, the trouble is that in your opener going second, it could have been a hand trap; and in your opener going first, you draw one card and get immediately drolled. As for the impact of Upstart, it's fine so long as there isn't the full critical mass of 3 of: chicken game, pseudo space, terraforming, into the void, etc. And further, Upstart does conflict with Prosperity, so there's that consideration.
