    23:55 - 24:10 15 seconds of animations, what a truly AAA game

I am just a junior developer but I cannot imagine how it works as well as it does. Not saying a AAA company should not have a better product, but I am just thinking about how I would code something like this and the complexity required to facilitate all the interactions is just going to be insane. The game is going to be one object which holds 8 player objects, the card pool people draw from and a turn timer. There are probably four boards associated with the game object as well, which are also likely objects. Each player object probably holds an object for their hero and an array of up to 10 objects which are cards. And then each card is probably an object of its own. We are going to be doing comparisons out the absolute wazoo. Every time a card is drawn you need to check all your other cards on board and hand to see if you have two other ones. So many cards have gamestate impacting effects. And animations... I am not even 1/10th the way into the complexity of this code and it is scary how much is actually going on.

@@h.a.l.39804 layers of objects interacting should not be difficult for a dev 😂. The whole point of using objects to to make this exact type of use relatively simple. Each board, player and card is only 1 more layer than a high school level go fish program. The front end is 100% the problem here

@@h.a.l.3980 They should just not code this in hearthstone game engine which is not easy to optimize for battlegrounds.

@@h.a.l.3980Yeah, it’s complex but not that complex for a video game. Take just any action RPG: there are 50 monsters on screen, with random attacks weighted in a way that interacts with the player’s position, a roll range for their attack power, critical strikes, damage over time, defenses, items dropped on death… Oh, and all of it has to look good, too! Not saying that I would know how to fix Hearthstone but I’d bet that it’s probably a Spaghetti Code monster that works worse than it should.

@@btarczy5067 That honestly sounds a lot simpler. Random attacks are super easy to code, they don't need their own objects, they will be housed in the monster/character object. Depending on the kind of attack you can do AOE, direct damage etc all pretty simple just by actually targeting another object or by location. I am not saying that hearthstone is more complex, just that you have to load the game all at once. In an MMORPG you are not loading the zones you are not inside of. You are only loading minimal parts of the game, but in battlegrounds you need to have the entire game loaded the entire time. I really feel like Hearthstone is going to innately require way more overhead than an MMORPG, disregarding graphics which I have no clue about.

If a State Trooper actually helped you and did a good job; instead of trying to tip them ask for their name or badge number and contact their supervisors and tell them they did a good job and you were thankful for their help. Words of thanks and praise for doing a good job help a good civil servant / employee / person keep being a good one and not a bad one.

Dog is pathetically easy to change a tire. I was like you once but then my dad showed me and I did it once with him, when it happen. Ever since, I’ve been helping people changing their tires now. They treat me like I’m a car guy, but I’m not.

The hardest part for me was the jack. I always thought it would damage the car but they work really good once you know where to put it. First you need to put the car in park, and pull the hand brake(emergency brake), then loosen the bolt heads, just not all the way. Then use the jack, for my car there is a ridge that goes along the under side of the car by the doors I can put the jack there, raise it up so the tire is off the ground, take the bolts off and put them to the side. Get your spare tire and push it into the spot, but don’t tighten all the way, just enough to not shift the tire so you can lower the car. Then when the car is on the ground, tighten the bolts. Put the flat in trunk, if it’s a spare tire, they’re smaller, and thinner, don’t go over 40 MPH, if it’s a full tire, you can fully use it like a regular tire. But always, always get the tire fixed right away, don’t just put the spare on and forget about it. ALSO as explain up top, DO NOT loosen or tighten BOLTS while the car is on the stand or off the ground, the car can shift and topple down breaking your jack and possibly damage your car. I always put it in park and pull the hand brake.
