Dan, you're literally the biggest sleeper of this competition. Your entry literally lifted my heart a bit. In competition full of guitar builders you've built a bass. With custom pickups Wound by another travelling youtuber Finished under blue sky While moving In space and being short on time To raise awareness for lack of access to water. Thank you man, your video surprised and satisfied me the most. Also calmed me after I found finished strat neck with nut and tuners for around 20 bucks on my local auction site and got soooo excited to finally start my dream strat build. Before realising that I'm in Norway and should finally find a job before buying non-essential items back in Poland :v I just had to share this story with fellow guitar ethusiast. Amazing work Dan! I'm sure i speak for a lot of people when i say that choosing to make a bass guitar was such a bold move that i think everyone in the competition did not expect but deeply respected it. The bass looks absolutely gorgeous! As a bass player myself, i truly hope that you will win and that someone out there will play that beautiful instrument with love and care. Stay safe Dan and everyone one else here enjoying the video!

@@WesNorthOf45 I don't know how it works in America but I can't get a mortgage on an RV. And I sure as hell can't pay 100k out of pocket. And there's not a bank in the world that will lend me the money if I tell them I'll use it to drive around building guitars 😅 100k is definitely not bad for a home but considering you can't pay it over the course of 30 years it's a hell of a lot of money.
@WesNorthOf45

@@SyntheticFuture Greetings ! I'm gonna guess that just about every RV sold in The USA is sold based on debt, given our love for having massive debt. An $80,000 loan on an RV would likely come in under $800 monthly on a ten year term. Less than what one might pay for even the crappiest rental in many markets. There is a lot of wide open space, here in America. Mix in some free parking with some state park camping and some national forest camping. Maybe $500 for camping fees monthly. No automotive expenses necessary. RV's can be a bit guzzly with the petrol. Avoid unnecessary driving of the RV. Not impossible.
This build is spectacular, dude! I wish I could have seen it in person.
Glad everyone has been posting their videos for the build off today, been a lot of fun watching these.👍
Love this Dan! I'm a huge fan of Dylan's channel too, so seeing this crossover is sick! So awesome from both of you!!
Dan, you absolutely nailed it! Definitely the classiest build of them all, simply stunning. Just the right amount of mods to the original kit to put your own stamp on it and just the right amount of innovation to make it stand out. Great job!

Thanks for the AWESOME builds Dan! Watching your videos has inspired me to try to build my own bass as well. All the best to you and yours! 😃👍
Wow, Dan, you really stepped up to the plate! So much to love in this video. The creativity with headstock is awesome, but so is the carving. I've seen you do carving on another build and it was equally impressive. That may be your calling card even more than the oddball wiring. Video production values were also outstanding with the scenics and the humor. Keep up the good work.

Dan, dude, my brother in Christ, this video hit me way too hard. I laughed. I cried (yes for real). I shouted in excitement with my fist pumping into the air. Those pickups?? That artistic carve?!? That headstock design?!?!?! Paul Reed Smith should be on the phone with you right now begging you to come run his bass design shop. This instrument is exactly what they’ve been missing thus far.
