Join discords! Play in-house games! MUCH more enjoyable!

This was a somewhat interesting battle. Unfortunately for many of us this has become a sad reality: 124 rules gone, three four five pikes units yes 4,5,6 archer/missile units yes and so on and so forth. So, this replay demonstrates that the attackers didn’t quit which is what usually happens, and it was a hard fought battle with overwhelming odds. Pike stacking, deployables, shotgunning, are all reality. Joining discords help, but I’m sure the host instructions must of said 124 rules or GC rules. Commentary and arrows are excellent as always. Most defenders that break basic rules usually camp at the VP. Keep these battles coming. Rule breaking sieges are entertaining as well. On ward to 12k and beyond bud!

I mean what a fight! Even though the defenders did break the rules and played it a little cheap by retreating to the town centre a bit early, still I liked to see them fight to the very end. And now to the real praises: really solid job and situational awarness by the attackers! And of course, we cannot forget Joe whose commentary brightens our day as always!

Wall breaches, fighting for walls and streets, towers being burned down, siege towers, missiles everywhere.... my immersion is over 9000!

Rome charging their Equites into a unit of swordsmen at 30:47 was tragic to watch

Even though there is a typo, but we have a former US president vs. a former guitar player of a famous rockband. There will be so many kills, that even the uncounted times "Stairway to heaven" was played, won't be enough for the lost souls.

6 pikes is regular in 3v3, 2 per player. Maybe they did have some kind of a deal there, if one brings none - Seleucid, other can bring his 2

Hmmm, it's possible. But I know that ever since CA took away chat, there have been more lopsided matches than before.

​@@janhruby190 I disagree with the idea of bringing 2 pikes plus 2 more for teammates it sounds not fair to the game ... for example if 2 of your teammates do not bring art so it ok to bring 3? I don't have much experience in games. but I've never seen this kind of deal before. I think in this game the defenders might be a team party or something It seems they plan to set a trap and let the attacker rush in one way so they can enjoy a pike poke stack and use fireball of justice ...Galatia and Baktria might find out what defender is doing so they not rush...they let Rome punch a hole with there high melee high armour infantry then support him with archers ...Good for attackers too for save their archers for let game not fall in those traps and win the game...I can say Rome is a madman... he rushes in he even kicks his archer in. I guess He just wants to break the line so he clicks all units near and attacks at once. Maybe I was wrong.

Back in the day used to watch you and Ellington at night and slowly fall asleep. Sad to see a community die down because of removing chat, a community of history nerds united behind the idea that 1:2:4 rules balances the factions

I couldn't agree with you more, Joseph. There are some of us who are trying to keep the community alive to have fun. It isn't dead. Just a bunch of new players have shown up. I really think they need to join discords in order to have the epic battles we had back then.

Lol, there are standard rules that apply across the whole of the Rome 2 community. 124 has been the base rule for YEARS!

just to add to that last bit about rules, you can put it in the lobby name. Ive recently been playing tons of land battles w large armies 1-3-6 and sometimes 1-4-8. its fun and now my micromanagement skills r on fleeeek

The 124 rule is an attempt to have the battles be fair.

ROME player took it to them ...enjoyed watching ........pikes what pikes :)

I don't know what that was but the defenders were all over the place.

looking at Egypt player name, army composition and overal unit performance i can only say..... how?

Legionnaire types infantry scoring up to 400 kills.. But 4 units of pikes scoring less than 70 kills each is gamebreaking lmao.
