“They Are Going to Win the League” Didi Hamann’s Exclusive Take on This Season’s Title Contenders
Спорт
On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy Chris and Sids are joined by the one and only Didi ‘The Kaiser’ Hamann.
Didi and Pete lift the lid on some of the surprising antics they got up to on the red side of Merseyside, expect ciggies in changing rooms, partying with the chairman and an impromptu trip to Japan to all get honourable mention.
The lad’s also couldn’t sit down with The Kaiser and not discuss that memorable night in Istanbul. Didi reveals who he believes had the biggest impact on the team (spoiler alert: It’s not who you think it is) and he relives what is possibly the most famous half time team talk in football history.
The lads also talk about his love of Germany, Oktoberfest experiences and why coaching isn’t for him.
As has now become tradition on the podcast, Crouchy also gets The Kaiser to give his hot take on our starting XI - this thyme it’s herbs and spices, you don’t want to miss it.

Top man. Very engaging and witty, and that's in his second language!...
Loved Didi, great lad and brilliant company! What a guy Kaiser
"Japanese Geeza" really made me laugh 😂
Didi is a living legend, shame he isn't a manager in league 2 or vanarama league, he is intelligent, experienced and an all round sound bloke

What a player! He'd be worth a hell of a lot of money in today's game. High pressing possession based teams playing out from the back would be perfect for him.
Best guest in a looooooong time! Natural story teller
Didi helped Gerard become the player he was by giving him the freedom…didi would sit back and mop up the mistakes he made at a young age
Great guy Didi. Great podcast.
Proper chumbawumbared with this episode didi is a legend. What an episode
Do a Didi special once a month!Absolute leg end!
Great guy and fantastic story teller.
Great episode lads!😂
Love this. What an absolute ledj Didi is
Absolutely brilliant
Proper character and legend. I doubt the players these days will have half the stories crouchy and didi have.
Hands free mics going well then

Lads I love this podcast and openly daily ask the darts, 147 and hole in one answer and can honestly say out of 50ish people over 45 have said 147 which I totally agree with. Anthony Sunderland fan. Keep it going boys
Didi is my favourite guest yet. What a brilliant laugh. Also, Die Ärzte shit on Die Toten Hosen 🤣 x
holy shit this man literally sold me cricket
I hate when they get foreigners in they don’t talk about where they are from and growing up. I would love to have known more about his life in Germany and the culture, especially football. Who did he support? His brother etc

I guess crouchy and didi are such good mates that he already know that and thought we would be more interested in the funny stories than about his early life. I feel like it’s a football podcast and they spoke about their times playing football, I didn’t see the problem but fair enough.

Crouch is so modest. Seems like a great man. Love listening to him

Fucking hell !!!! The Chumba One Bar??? That was mine from just after they moved to the new pub!!!
Rafa's most ridiculous mistake (there were many) was letting Didi leave at the start of a season in which Bolo Zenden managed to get a hell of a lot of center midfield minutes. What a surprise, we got worse.
Oi oi!! I got a mention 😂 The name is Garth
Belter lads💪
Married to a Berliner myself, and Oktoberfest isn't a German thing per se. It's a Bavarian thing. Only people outside of the south to do it are tourists or southerners x
I just want to point out and clarify. I watched Harry Kanes debut for Munich which Didi was commentating on and he specifically said Harry would struggle to score 20 goals in the league... im surprised no one has caught on to that 😂 that is all.

And how are they doing though
Simplifies taking a penalty very well. Hit it above hip height either to left or right of goalkeeper. No goalkeeper in world can reach it. Ironically the more penalty shoot outs we have had in last two decades the worse the penalties have got.
Guys, i have an idea for a pod! I was recently talking to my friend about Englands best 11 .. which pretty much picks itself. I did however claim that our 2nd string could compete for the Euros. So i am wondering ... what would be your England 11 excluding our best starting X1? Ramsdale Trent White Tomori Livramento Phillips Maddison Eze Foden Toney Grealish .. maybe i am forgetting some.
I get strong Mølby vibes of this adopter Scouser!

This is the epitome of the Ricky Gervais joke of ripping off a guitar lesson flyer in the city square whilst yelling "but I dont want guitar lessons!" Mate, the name is literrally That PETER CROUCH Podcast. If you didn't already know or notice, Peter Crouch played for Liverpool. Was at his peak at Liverpool, won most of his England caps with Liverpool. If you don't like it, there are loads other footballers' podcasts out there. All Ben Foster talks about is Man United and Watford and so what? Cus they're the clubs he played for. Smh.
