@@Girthsquirts No it hasn't, not even close. Infinite's forge has a node graph styled code engine built-in, forgeable AI, objects with customisation and function options so varied that you can create whatever structure you'd like, etc.. Halo 3 had none of that.

343i has always knocked forge out of the park. The firefight modes that are currently in the game are incredible. As creators have more time to use the tools & AI, we'll see even better creations. Custom games is about to be my go to mode now. Season 5 is what we all deserved.

And this is the first game in which forge maps can legitimately look dev-made. Examples: Salvation, Guardian, Warsaw.

What tomo said was perfect. A BR could be a great addition to halo but not at the cost of the rest of the game. It should have equal priority to the other playlists if 343 actually makes a proper BR. That being said what is here is awesome. It just needs some music, give some change in weather, and let us play in trios and we are Vibing.

I believe ambient audio is in forge and weather effects. Forge made BR’s should keep getting better!

Last thing I've heard was Certain Affinity the one's responsible for"Tatanka", a mode with BR elements. So not a BR like the others. But I haven't heard from that in a while. Meanwhile, 343i said way back, if people want a BR, they can do so themselves with Forge. Hence the reason why they have been working to make that possible. That their battle plan. To prevent a BR from catching all the attention and upsetting Halo fans. They are trying to find a way around the trap.

The halo content gamers REALLY wanted

Very good game mode. They can obviously build on it such as getting upgrades, maybe find variants on the map through challenges, find an ability on the map to carry 2 pieces of equipment, buff your shield by 50%, just to name a few things.

there are power-ups already, thats why some of the people he fights don't go down, they got the HP Boost lmao

Love this, always a blast to see you play, but to watch you play halo is something else!

This is really cool. In my opinion, the community created content is always what has made Halo great.

I've been playing a little more Halo over the last couple of months and I believe the resurgence of players is deserved. I do plan to cover Firefight and some other Forge modes with friends in the future! Any in particular that you'd recommend?

There is a populer custom game called Blood Gluch PvPvE which have both real people and A.I. and feels like moba. Definitely recommend checking it out. Also love your Halo content, please upload more Halo@@Tomographic

@@Tomographic A cool party game to play with friends is Hot Potato, fun mini game where players have infinite thrusters and someone randomly gets given an oddball that will explode after a timer expires. Slap people with the oddball to give it to them so you don't explode!

For a first draft I think this Battle Royal is incredible; The hard part is getting the mode to work. The map could use some work (massive open sightlines aren't great), and ambient sounds are something in forge already IIRC. Again, the hard part is done (mostly - no squads). Would Love to see 343 work with these forgers to make it a semi-official mode. Added dev support for teams & slap it into main menu rotation PLS

It's also extremely loud and shows the enemy exactly where you are if they follow the source of the beam so there's certainly a trade off 😅

There actually is ambient sounds and weather effects you can put on I think they just either didn’t so you’d hear shots and players or to keep the game friendlier to older consoles.

This BR is not as barebones as u might think there r increased shield values to prevent 1-shot snipes, stations where u can buy perks, some PvE targets and even the gulag 😂 ...it's genuinely impossible for me to imagine these fan made modes and maps in 6 months I'm pretty sure it's only gonna get better and more crazy as time goes on ^^

Halo is / was my favourite franchise before 343 took the reins. They are having a bit of a redemption arc with Infinite now which is good to see but man was the launch rough!

Not entirely sure if this answers your question but yes, I changed the title after noticing that the video was underperforming by a significant margin. I believe this was the result of some other channels covering the Battle Royale mode earlier in the day so I wanted to test the waters with something more ambiguous and less "wordy"

Apparently the creators of the maps are gonna add drop pods instead of having players jump out

They didn't do it. The community made it for them using their tools. Just like pretty much everything else good that's come from Halo past the launch of Reach.

Developing a Forge mode this complex and advanced is a really difficult task and a labour of love, no other shooter have a tool this good at no cost. Besides maybe Fortnite.

This map looks so dull. Feels like a Alpha test environment.

BR with rechargabel shields and h alo controls. No thanks. Still glad that better game modes are now possible though. This needs some work still though.

Its a shame this was released too late to save this game. Hope they can learn from this and tweak it for the next game. 10 years of campaign and multiplayer updates seems to of gone completely

the game didnt needed saving people that play halo play halo. sure there were a lot of butt hurt players but nothing was wrong with the game except it lack content. hell halo community is the most toxic ive ever seen in gaming. they want the glory days while old halo players are close to needing a pan to piss in.

I don’t understand the appeal of Battle Royals. I never liked them, and every time they’ve been added to an existing game they’ve either ruined the game before it or were extremely mismanaged. Take Warzone for example. Or how TitanFall 3 will never see the light of day due to Apex. Or Battlefield 5 horrendous Battle Royal. Majority of the Halo fanbase I’ve talked to don’t want 343 spending time adding a mode that is already completing with games that are doing it better. They’d rather have older Halo content added, like Halo 5’s Warzone, that PvPvE mode

Forge is great, but I genuinely hope they do not make BR. A. It would need a new sandbox completely seperate from normal pvp (only 4 ish weapons are viable outside of incredibly close range even on some btb maps and there is no way snipers will one shot in BR considering the TTK). B. Halo cant have looting (halo is all about an even playing field and balance, having upgrades and random weapon spawns that are necissary for BRs ruins this). And C. it would pull resourches away from the already good multiplayer that halo is known for. Halo Just wouldnt work for a BR and I feel it would be a short term win but a long term loss

The level design is terrible, it just looks like they've grab a bunch random assets and dropped them in a map
