I met Russell Thompkins Jr. when he did a concert with two members of the Stylistics in the UK. Herb Morrell was taken ill so it was Russell and Airrion Love that sang that night. I waited outside at the back door of the building after the concert which the singers used to get in and out. I had a chat with Russell and got his autograph, it’s one of those nights I will always treasure. Russell has such a fantastic voice, I think he’s the best of the tenor/ falsetto singers that I’ve heard.
