​​@@gluttony131 Mirror Holders aren't the same thing as Garden of Recollection. At the very least, they worship different aeons: MH worship Idrila the Beauty, GoR worship Fuli the Remembrance. Plus, MH collect Idrila's relics (or mirrors), not memories.

Fun fact about Kafka trailer, the song is a remix of classical orchestral piece from the 1700s from Vivaldi's 4 Seasons- Winter. It was fantastic

Ruan Mei is really complicated and fascinating person, even more then Topaz (cus big Corpa worker), im interested what you will think after her story in 1.6 Trailblaze Interlude. Fan fact: she took her name from both parents names, so its not referencing anything directly (except Ruan "guitar" music instrument she has), but her character is kinda reminiscing of Dr. MEI of HI3 (and GGZ) in some aspects.

if you do decide to get back into it, the major events of each patch are still replayable, just with less rewards you also still get Dr. Ratio for free if you play between 2.0 and 2.2

I’ve found this channel recently when i was searching for 1999 content and i have never fallen more in love with a content creator’s channel and content. Your now one of my top creators and comfort channels! And I’ll eagerly be awaiting for the Honkai Star Rail Let’s Play, I’m currently waiting for 2.1 to come out and you won’t regret coming back to this amazing game 😊

If you do start playing again, don't worry about starting a new account, especially if you were able to do the silverworlf event and got the "before the tutorial" light cone which is BiS for a lot of units. Also, they have made amazing QoL for returning players with a reserve trailblazer power which accumulates even after the max cap of 240 is full (I think the reserve is 2.4k, I don't really remember), they also made a returning player "event" that helps you catch up again. Storywise, if you lost track, they made a timeline feature where you can somewhat rewatch cutscenes again (or atleast make it easier to look up the stuff you forgot). The only "problem" for you now is the lack of premium sustain units because as the game amps up in difficulty, the necessity of one grows everyday.

I agree with this. I didn't play for 4 months. Just came back. Glad I didn't start new. Yeah it's 2400 they save for you. I was able to farm enough jade from past events and achievements and quests I Hadn't done to win the 50/50 to pull DanIL and also Sparkle but after losing the 50/50.

First time I've seen anyone say Topaz's design was anything but great lol. Fun to see your reactions!

AHH yeah I think the game sets VERY high standards for the character designs so this character just didn't stand out to me. But personality wise, thought they were great! Thanks for watching!

HSR is for sure a game worth getting into, I honestly dont think I ever felt as respect and rewarded by a gacha game before. The story is great ofc, the characters too, but what is special about this game is that you can feel that the devs love the game - the trailers, the way they keep adding new endgame and improving quality of life, the way they listen tot he community....I have been honestly impressed how well they are developing this game, so I strongly support you in falling into the pit with us all and playing this as a LETS PLAY.

As someone who's a complete sucker for horror aspects and elements in non-horror games i can only say that Penacony is probably my favourite and most intriguing expansion and story that hoyoverse has ever come out with. Even in their marketing and showcases of it they insisted on it being a 'heartwarming and uplifting story' despite at the same time coming out with by far the creepiest trailers they've ever dropped loll.

I'd definitely want to see your playthroughs! There's a wholesome and uplifting story waiting for you at Penacony (the new world)!

The part where Sparkle asks questions, shoots herself with blanks, and gives an answer. Then, "What is Elation?" "Me! I am Elation!" reminds me of a scene in the TV series "Gotham". A character, Jerome, had a whole scene like this too. I think the members who made this trailer slid this part in as a nod and homage to it.

Yeah, its kinda crazy how good the Sparkle trailer was especially, I was saving for someone else but I just had to pull her after she was given 3 great trailers. I would enjoy watching you dive back in to the this game. The cast is overall very fun and the overarching story is also very solid. The latest planet has been packed full of stuff. Also another detail that I like more than Genshin is that most limited-time events stick around in some playable way, it doesn't turn into lost content.

I know you did a reaction to one of the earlier animated shorts for Jing Yuan + Jingliu, but I'd like to see your reaction to all of their animated + myriad celestia trailers (theres pretty much a myriad celestia trailer for a majority of the SSRs, and are lore/plot heavy) and maybe the game version trailers too. Unfortunately Daniel got a shorter character trailer than the others but got both an animated + Myriad trailer in exchange. But in general, all their trailers of content go pretty damn hard. HYV has an insane market/planning/animating team.

Sparkles trailer is so insane, blew everything out of the water.

I hope you do the version trailers and myriad trailers please!! Your reactions abd lets plays keep my fueled

Would you ever consider watching the "Keeping up with star rail" videos that talk about the kits? Or would you just do this in game? Either way I'd love to see you learn about what these characters do because I think they're all fun and unique. ALSO if you play the game soon, you'll still be able to claim the free Dr Ratio (until the end of 2.1, we're in 2.0 right now)

I recommend checking out the Myriad Celestia trailers. They're of varying quality but the best ones are amazing. And Sparkle also has an incredibke trailer there. Imo around the same level as the one you watched here at the end.

If you do pick up the game again, I recommend reading the Data Bank, particularly the section on the Aeons (which is 1 or 2 paragraphs each). Each of these trailers have their damage type, Path, and I think most have their faction in the universe they're part of

if you haven't been told yet the last scene with sparkle is reference to The Amazing digital circus who sparkle and pomni have the same VA

"I want to know what this means" A popular theory is that this was her being recruited as a Masked Fool by Aha himself. If her character teaser is anything to go by, Sparkle is an actress who suffered a nervous breakdown after playing the same role almost 1,000 times and basically turned into Joker (no, not Harley, Joker). At time of this writing, she's also the current banner and is looking like she is probably one of the top supports of the game

To quote the wisest amongst us, "Ruan Mei is a red flag, and I'm a bull".

Let's just say that your Ruan Mei reaction trailer is... exactly on point.

You actually may remember Black Swan, she is a HSR Narrator (of Miriyad Celestia Lore Trailers) and a real Memokeeper of Garden of Recollection, the followers of Fuli the Rememberens Aoen. I do wonder if Genshin's Nicole with Barbeloth will be similar to Aponia and Black Swan in some ways. All looks like Velkin Moon Sister avatar too which is interesting.

Fu Xuan's is hilarious as the green fish symbol represented Qingque. Her tossing the fish to a latter position indicated that Qingque was going to be late. Again.

Who else was waiting for her sparkle reaction and yet forgot how good some of the older trailers were.

As for Mei, I believe they already dropped her drip market splash art last time, so her banner will be up next patch (after the Sparkle banner).

I've only just realized this but (guessing here) when I watched Kafkas trailer I wondered why the rose petals? to censor for blood? I completely fell for sparkle. Also a good thing about returning to HSR is that you can play all the past events they don’t go away like Genshin events they remain in the game for new players. They also made a cool feature which is like a time line that tells you in which order to do the quests to better follow the lore of the game

His short, though (in the same style of that Jing Yuan fight animation you mentioned)… is my favorite thing Honkai Star Rail has ever published. It has story spoilers, but oh my GOD the narrative…

Yea Sparkle has a split personality and it’s one side is more normal and the other side is an ABSOLUTE maniac. If you could see when she was being unhinged her entire mask was red and there was one where she wasn’t as insane and the mask was white. Than if you couldn’t see ,it shows her actual mask is split in half with red and white.

i love how Topaz is like: Madam Herta this is your MASSIVE debt. and Herta is like: Thats all? Chump change. Leaves. the immense wealth she posseses is just so funny to watch.
