He is gonna lose viewers just as quick as he's gaining them. Probably because he refuses to talk about the weather west of the Rockies unless it's moving East toward him. Arizona having crazy dust storms, dumped 4 inches of hail 2 hours after this video, flash floods and Random monsoon weather and he doesn't say a damn thing about it. This is why I started watching Max Velocity's weather channel more than Ryan's as of late. You will start noticing more comments like this I promise!

Probably because the majority of the population under significant threat are in the East and Midwest. However, as a weather nerd, I am aware that what we get here is often the result of what's going on out West. Don't forget it is the Gulf of Mexico that is our biggest influencer. I'm in Richmond, VA. It's so cliche to say "we needed the rain" but damn did we need this rain.
As a Western New Yorker, usually hurricane remnants just give us a soaking rain and that's it. The fact that the leftovers from Beryl put me in my first ever tornado warning kinda worries me for what's to come. Up in the North county and we had a couple watches and a few weak touchdowns. Definitely unusual and hopefully not a sign of what's to come, our big disaster is supposed to be lake effect snow which is downright safe as far as disasters go. Unfortunately the buckets of rain Beryl dropped caused a ton of flooding when we were already very saturated. I'm not sure the official stats for how wet we are compared to average, but my pool was 3 inches high before beryl and overflowed for the first time in the 20years i have had it. That's not a big deal, just indicative of how wet this summer has been, the problems are on the news with Lowville's flooding and washouts.

Excess heat reveals the fragile bond between life and comfort for our pets. As temperatures soar, their sanctuary becomes a perilous trap, leading to suffering and potential death. This stark reality serves as a harsh reminder of the delicate balance we must maintain to protect those who rely on us.

And, according to the Heritage Foundation's and Trump's much-lauded Project 2025, they would break up and downsize NOAA and fully commercialize the NWS forecasting operations.
