An exercise Ive had students do is swimming while maintaining a ping pong ball under each outstretched, flattened hand. If their trim gets off or they become unbalanced the ball will roll out from under their hand giving them immediate feedback.

Lol I was expecting it to be a bit more interesting techniques while in the ocean 😅 But fair enough for those looking to master it!

I went on a liveaboard in the bahamas right after I got OW and AOW back to back certified and only wore my bathing suit (I hate getting in and out of wetsuits, drysuits are much better imo, or maybe I'm just used to diving in the PNW) to dive all the walls, reefs, fire corals everywhere. It was absolutely terrifying at first but the environment really forced me to improve my buoyancy and now I can do all the skills hovering with ease. I had it the hard way hahaha

I'm having a problem with waving my hands (too much)😅 to stabilise myself. For fellow divers it was veery funny so I should work more on my buoyancy. Great tips for practise.
