⁠​⁠@@Angelooohshootthat’s exactly what they are called. Pacers or pacemakers. It’s not offensive at all it’s actually a great thing to be a pacer, most pacers are highly elite runners who aren’t quite fast enough to be competing for top 10 finishes at marathon majors or are up and coming pros. Being a pacer means that even if you aren’t quite good enough to be a good pro, you still get payed to run. Also, most pacers will train or do camps with the athlete which gives them a great opportunity to learn from the best and improve their own performances. Being called a pacer is definitely a good thing. If you wanna get offended about the name of pacers or helpers in a sport you should probably care more about cycling lol. In cycling they are called “domestics” which translates to English as “slave” lol

They Never got banned for the Olympics tho, World Athletics stated that the shoe had to be under 40mm of stack height and sold to the public in order for it to be used by athletes in competition.

Pretty sure the Vaporfly which is available in stores has like 1 carbon layers and 2 layers of a special fiber which is very springy, but the ones used by the top 3 were custom made to have like 3 or 4 carbon layers and like 6 of those special fiber layers.

They've been around from 2014 only these new ones are banned other vapour fly are not banned

The name of the shoes is alpha fly. And it was a prototype. En the varporfly was not forbidden.
