At my school, if you really needed the toilet, the teacher would have to send an email to SLT (senior leadership team, aka the group of teachers everyone HATED) to escort you to the toilet. To make matters worse, if you went to the toilet three or more times a week, then you would get a detention in the hall with a member of SLT. If you had a toilet pass, then teachers would let you go. I never went to the toilet during the entire duration of secondary school, but I turned out just fine.

In my school, you wear a black blazer with the school logo, trousers, no skirts allowed, black socks only, a tie, no leggings allowed, no boots allowed, polishible shoes only, no not ordinary hair colours (red, blue etc.), white shirt with buttons. You can only go to the toilet with your teacher's permission or if you have a toilet pass, you have to get your planner signed first, if you don't have a toilet pass you can only spend 1 minute - 2 minutes in the toilets. Equipment checks every morning and in form, including: planner, pencil case, pe clothes, dance clothes, pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, red pen, green pen, blue pen, bag (obviously). No phones allowed otherwise it will be confiscated and you can't get it back till the end of the day. No chewing gum. No eating or drinking in hallways. No food or drinks out the canteen. If its raining outside or it's freezing, too bad, deal with it. Written warnings if you haven't done your homework (science, maths, English, it, religious, dt, art and design, French, geography, history etc.). Written warnings lead to detentions and isolations. Suspensions, on calls, exclusion, isolation, verbal warning, written warning, removal. Lates can lead to isolations and detentions an they can also lead to reports which you need filled in every lesson. Head teachers are strict. Some teachers are strict. Can't drink in science or written warning. If you haven't brang dance/ pe kit leads to written warning. Write 2 or more pages every lesson. I think that's it but there's probably a lot more. Tell me if my school is stricter than yours!.

Bruh i pooped last year in the 2nd first half term at monday bruh I couldve died if i didnt poop my intestines would just bleed so badly

Occasionally after assemblies, 1 or more year groups would have to stay behind for whatever reason (usually they were in trouble) Once, year 10 and 11 stayed after assembly because SMT (Senior Management Team) told them that they couldn’t wear certain coats. Coats had to be either a black raincoat or a school branded coat, and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES could you EVER bring a puffer jacket for some reason (about 70% of students had North Face puffer jackets). Apparently the school branded coats were thin, weren’t waterproof and didn’t have a hood. They supposedly put this rule down because they wanted all of their students to look the same so SMT can fulfill their dream of a dystopian wasteland of a school. The puffer jacket rule was never enforced but the coloured coats was and one of my friends was told off for wearing a bright red raincoat.

In my school, water guns where not allowed for some reason. We just wanted some fun :(

My secondary school gave us a whole assembly explaining a rule that banned high fives, fist bumps and handshakes because they were "unprofessional"

At my primary school there were lots of dumb rules. We were not allowed to wear sandals because we might fall and hurt our toes, no logos other than the schools, in y5 this one teacher banned yawning around her and my y6 teacher banned us from holding pencils when he was talking and we would get a detention if we were holding a pencil, whiteboard pen e.t.c he also banned “smiling to broadly” because it meant we were talking about someone else or being rude. Y6 was so strict in my class, my friends in other classes were aloud to draw in books and on there books and talk during lessons! Oh, and we were not allowed our polos unbuttoned past two buttons, they didn’t really enforce that too much because my primary was pretty big with 750 kids.

At my school they had green slips for if you got hurt and if they gave you one then they would keep you in for 15 minutes for whatever lesson you had and a chair fell on my head during an assembly once and I had been kept in for break time, I was so angry with them.

1.In my school we had to keep our jumpers on when lining up for lesson and the start of the lesson but in the middle of the lesson or at break time that’s when we were allowed to take of our jumper 2. No dangly earrings or necklaces beacuse “4 years ago a child got there ear ripped of by his dangly earrings bc he got it stuck to a door” and necklaces make you look like all you care about is good looks 😑 3. Say if your playing doge ball babmintoin or others each round was 2 minutes long and when it ends you down sit down for a 5 minute lecture then go back to playing and football was the only game you played for a long time 4. This one isn’t really a rule but also is if one little incident happened in our year when playing football such as if somone mistakenly hit a ball in somebody’s face football would be banned for 2 weeks becuse of the past incidents that happened beacuse there should be fights after the football matches because “the other team was cheating” and they want to avoid other incidents so they did this These are the only ones I could think of or remember so yh

The only going toilet during break or lunch and not being allowed to go in lessons is probably why nearly all young adults now have kidney stones - they dehydrated themselves to avoid needing to go and it’s now default and workplaces are often not much better expecting people to not go outside dedicated breaks

Our school is obsessed with sock colour. If you wear trousers, you have to wear black socks. If you wear a skirt, you have to wear white socks. If you get the wrong colour, it's a lunch detention Also only girls can go to the toilet during a lesson us boys have to wait until break.

My secondary school has got a rule that if u go to the toilet twice during lessons , they will give u an hour after school detention, thats why ive never gone to the toilets at school (as well as the giant shits in the toilets and people vaping )😂

in my school, we basically just had a really dumb punishment system, specifically for homework. basically, if you didnt do your homework, then you would get a late. these didnt really mean anything, but if you got three in a term then you would get a default. if you failed to do a piece of homework after getting a late on the same piece then youd also get a default. three defaults would get you a saturday detention, which was basically 4 hours sat in school on saturday. the issue with this was, by doing absolutely zero homework, you actually saved more of your free time by just taking the four hour saturday, as it amounted to less time that all the hommework you would have to have done. not only this, but during the saturday detentions you were allowed to sit in the library and "do homework" on the computers (aka: sit and play games or go on your phone because the teachers couldn't be asked to stop you and rarely checked in on you). and because this was such a well known thing and so many people did it, youd generally find yourself in there with a friend, which just made it a more popular thing to do lmao.

My school says no balls on the blacktop but we got new hoops AND THERE IS NO BALL ALLOWED😅😅😅 + gets this guy to one million😊

It must be breaching some sort of human right that I still can't take off my blazer in the 30 degrees C British summers 💀💀

At my high school under certain desks there are tens if not thousands of pieces of gum and we do have the rule of no chewing gum. Also I once spotted a massive chunk of gum on the cieling and it looked like someone chewed on a whole roll of hubba bubba.

10:37 so true once in English a piece of chewing gum fell of from under the table and me and the girl next to me were threatened to be given detention for ‘breaking school rules’ and the teacher only believed us once she touched the gum and felt it was solid. And after she touched it she threw up and we were given a free period. Mind you this was in year seven and the lesson just started so me and the girl were treated like queens for giving us 50 mins of no lessons right before lunch. I was also given £50 pound by a girl who forgot all 5 books for that period so I saved her getting 5 30 minute detentions 😅

My primary school banned Pokémon cards because people were stealing them from each other and it was “too many tears”. Also in my primary school, on our MUGA (multi use games area) all games had to non contact, so we couldn’t even play tig. We also had a timetable for what primary could use all areas of the playground, including our the gazebo, so we could only use it once a week, twice if we got it on a Friday.

I think this is just a teacher rule but when its after/before recess or lunch and when we need to go to the toilet they say “you have to wait” or “it was just recess/lunch” or “its in like ten minutes you can wait” its annoying im like omg just let me go in my head

In year 5, it was about 41 degrees (Celsius) in the UK. Everyone was feeling so ill that day and everyone wanted to go home, but, the office let absolutely no-one home apart from that one kid in the class. The kid didn’t have any disabilities or anything, they just let him and no-one else home.
