The Jing's Pyraminx is a Skewb shape mod, the Master Jing's Pyraminx is a Dino Skewb shape mod, and the Professor Jing's Pyraminx is a Master Skewb shape mod. The 6x6 doesn't currently have a Skewb counterpart. ShengShou also made a 7x7 Jing's Pyraminx, which I believe is an Elite Skewb shape mod.

it's amazing how this is the only video about those cubes / pyramids I could find.

I found a good way to solve PLL parity on even layered cubes is to do the slice-flip-slice alg from edge pairing. Then, flip both of the now unpaired edges. Then just slice-flip-slice to finish it off. You'll lose progress on the "3x3" stage, but it solves parity on master kilominx and a nornal 4x4, so I imagine it'll work on a tetrahedron too.

The Jing pyraminx is a tetrahedral skewb. It's really obvious to see when you disassemble.

The 3x3 looks so much easier when you know pyra algs. I don’t know how to do pyra, so struggled with the solve until it just fell together and I solved it. I skipped the rest because I don’t want any other hints for the 4x and 5x versions

Did anybody thought about him calling them cubes, while they're tetrahedrons? :D Well it's odd to call them by their shape, so it's easier and more logical to call them after the rubiks cube

The morphixes are absolutely harder, since you're adding the complexity of orienting center pieces on top of a 3x3, which is already harder than these.

The true pyramin (Jing pyraminx) because it's only has 1 center in each side and not 3 like normal pyraminx. Maybe :v For example 3x3 cube has only 1 center 3x3 megaminx has only 1 center So pyraminx should has 1 center

I agree that these are the "true" tetrahedral form of a Rubik's Cube, but considering that the pyraminx predates even the 3x3, it doesn't make much sense to call it a "true pyraminx." :)

The Jing pyraminx is a skewb shape mod. The tetrahedron often breaks rules that you find in other regular and semi regular polyhedra. It does not have opposite faces, since the corners are opposite the faces. This isn't true of any other platonic, archimedean, or catalan solid.

@@Kerbalista nope. Have a closer look at what each of the peices are doing. The corners and the centers of the Jing pyraminx correspond exactly to the corners of a skewb. The six edges correspond to the square "centers" of the skewb.
