It seems he chose Montague over Jeanette. I think all bidders don’t wanna take the bid resort because they got threatened by Montague. I think Jeanette works for Montague too.

I feel like the new showrunner hates Lucas and broke up Lucas and Elizabeth just so she could put Nathan and Elizabeth together and make Lucas’s life miserable. So sad and such childish writing…😢💔

Among the characters, it seems LB always has big problems. His past with Dixon, the oil business, Jerome, Walden, Balfour, Jeanette, and Montague. What next? I feel bad for LB. Thankfully, his character hasn't changed. He is still the man with a big heart.

Lucas received so much hate during the silly love triangle even though I would argue that, out of all the characters, he has consistently been the most mature and unselfish. It just doesn’t make a lick of sense!! 🤨😩 Ironically, many of the heartbroken LucaBeth fans continue to watch the show for the SOLE purpose of supporting Lucas. ❤️❤️

@@tonieabbott180 LB has been punched in all directions since season 6. I’m glad he is still a stand-up man who doesn't give up easily. I’m one of many of LB’s fans who still watch the show. The reason is I don't want TPTB to tarnish his character. They know LB has big supporters. If no one supports LB, they will make him a bad guy. That’s the reason I’m not scared to voice my dissatisfaction with the show. I shared my disappointment on X. I want TPTB to know that some of the scenes didn't make sense, especially on E’s part.

I don't trust Edwin 🤨 something is off about him.... possible mole 🧐

Aren’t his parents wealthy with wealthy friends . . . What about Elizabeth’s aunt? Clearly, someone very influential has told everyone to stay away from investing. I wonder how they-writers-will thread this storyline together. No doubt it will be a big bungle for Lucas.

His parents are indeed rich but they can’t be the bidders because they are related to LB. E’s parents or her aunt might be the one who would be a bidder. Chris said in his interview that E would be a hero. So I assume she would ask her parents or her aunt to help LB. I bet Montague threatened everyone who wanted to submit the bids. That’s the reason he and Jeanette are the only bidders for that resort. I also think Jeanette works for Balfour and Montague.

@@priscooper7166Yes, I see where his parents helping would be a conflict but they run in wealthy circles. I think I’d prefer to see Lucas save himself rather than have someone else do so, especially Elizabeth.

@@tdesteamboat1 I agree. I want LB to solve the problems by himself. The problem is no one submitted the bid except Jeanette and Montague. Also, people in Hope Valley want their town to build the resort first. In episode 2 LB said the first resort project doesn't need to be in HV but Bill, Lee, Rosemary, etc., disagreed. They want their town to have the project first. Now LB gets stuck. He can’t leave it because people depend on him.
