I was a homeless hitchhiker for years and when I was out of food, which was often, I would sit in the sun for a few hours, preferably near a body of water, and my hunger would disappear. It would last for a day or two and sometimes almost a week. Sunlight absolutely curbs the hunger. Don't ask me why it works but it does. It's a difficult thing for someone to understand who has never experienced it.

There's an Indian woman who claims she hasn't eaten more than a banana once a week, with some water and tea tossed in for good measure, for 60 years. We've had these "non-eaters" around for at least since the 19th C, and they're pretty easy to debunk. One woman claimed she never ate and went through the same watchdog type experience as the woman you mentioned. Her watchers were puzzled until they realized her daughter was passing food from her mouth to her mother's mouth when she met her daily for a kiss. Sounds like that one's for the birds!

15 days I went without food. Day 1-4 sucked bad. After that I felt absolutely incredible the entire time. At the end of my time, which was my set goal, I didn’t even want to return to food. When I did I felt sluggish and slow for a week before feeling mostly normal again. I’ve never had more energy in my life than when I fasted for two weeks. I know it sounds bonkers and backwards, but not eating can give you a ton of energy and vitality! (I was normal health at the time, and I talked with my doctor about doing it to stay safe which you should do before trying this for more than a few days)

He told me that one time he was shot up with some “plant based” concoction and was told to just report back if there was any side affects. About a day later his skin started to turn green and it was stuck like that for a couple weeks. They joked that they were turning him into a plant and would steal his food and tell him to just go outside and “eat some sunlight sunflower.”

Good to hear that you over come the addictions. It's one of the hardest things anyone ever do, because often you start from as low as a bottom can be. Whith out money, often burnt all social contacts, you often have no home or is cheering it with other in the same state and it is impossible to get a job in the beginning and you are often to exhausted in mind and body. I congratula you, and you are a strong person how was able to kick the habit! I have self used drugs wen I was 19 and 20, under the economic crash 08-09. But never so much as to develop addiction. But lost many old friends that still is stuck in that horrible situation. And tried to help two of my closest friends but it is a long and hard way.

I remember the local news in my area used to follow the story of a man who claimed he hadn't eaten for over 11 years, and his wife who claimed she hadn't eaten for 8 years - the would do things like show up without warning at their house and ask for an interview, and the mid-interview ask to look in the fridge and find it was full of all sorts of food that they claimed was "for guests". Later on after many accusations that people had seen these two eating, they submitted to some big brother style situation with the local news station, who instantly caught them out on a hidden camera sneaking food from a hidden location into the bathroom, and then emerging without the food - they subsequently found a stash of food hidden throughout the bathroom, the one place they couldn't film these two people. Less than 24hrs in they got caught - they couldn't not eat for a single day let alone years on end.

You can boost your mood and get the needed vit. D we all need with daily sun exposure, which can in turn help us make more life affirming choices, like what to eat and how much if we are benefiting from being out in nature more and not just ordering some junk food we saw in an add scrolling on our phones from a delivery service, as we will be outside more and feeling like eating more fruit, veggies and less meat. I get my sun each day and It's not food, but it's like soul food as it feels so good and is great for you in moderation with sun screen in summer. What these people should say is that they eat less junk food and eat more healthy food when they get more sun as the sun helps them feel good, so they want to eat foods that make them feel good too.

thank you for your time...btw the Holy bible has morethan 2000 prophecies fullfilled to date...a prophecy that could happen in your life time may be is Isaiah 19 about Ethiopia and egypt's nile dispute which God interferes to serve justice for the righteous...keep in mind these words were written morethan 2000 years ago...n things arent seeming good between Ethiopia and egypt based on the disagreement how to use the nile. The Holy bible indeed is God's words as it says so. The question is are we serving the devil as the 666 beast system is working hard towards a so called One world new order (which btw the bible tells will be inforced with the mark of beast so that no man can sell or buy without the mark) keep in mind these was foretold morethan 2000 years ago by our God the son Jesus that this will happen in the end days...the reason billions of christians follow Christianity isnt based on superstion but facts...archaologists have also supported several of The holy bibles naratives with tangible evidences. The question is whom do you serve, The Devil which will be casted to the deep or the holy omnipotent omnisciece omnipresent God of Abraham Isacc Jacob.

Even Archeologists have proved numeric findinding that prove the bible is indeed true. The question is Have you chosen the light/God, Or are you serving the devil? Choose your Heroes wisely.

The longest I ever went without food was around 52 hrs. I was at a wildlife refuge in Mexico, studying lizard habitat usage, and after weeks of splitting up our observation hours between the three of us, we had gotten down to the observations which were all scheduled during meal times. The kitchen was staffed, and only served food at VERY specific times, and was locked the rest of the time. The main author was starting to crunch the data for the report, so I volunteered to do these times in one zone, and the other researcher took the other zones. After two full days and nights (48hrs) of missing meals, the cook literally hunted me down at 5AM as I was heading out for the last day, shoved some tamales in my hands, and chewed me out in Spanish about being an idiot and not eating. I hiked the three miles to where my zone started, hunkered down to wait for my observation window to start, and gobbled down what has to be the best tamales to have ever been made. Because, oh yah, I wasn't just not eating, I was also walking about 15 miles per day through the forest, including during the hottest part of the day. I lost 45lbs on that trip... There was also the 24hrs we didn't eat because army ants had taken over the kitchen, but that's another story...

The longest I went without food was 14 days. I drank water, coffee, and two supplements super beets and vita force. After the third of fourth day I wasn’t hungry. I actually functioned quite normally for that time. I was a bit baffled by week one that I was wasn’t eating and really how easy it was not to eat. I drank fruit juices for a remaining 3 to 4 days before returning to solid food. If you have a bit of weight on you it will work, you won’t feel hungry and you will have energy because your fat can be used for energy. If your of normal weight than this could be very dangerous. To me i would look at food in the refrigerator and I didn’t desire it. After awhile you just don’t care and don’t have an appetite. It really hurts your digestive system and can make it extremely weak. I realized in the end that we are meant to eat food. Our bodies have the acid to break it down. Literally all are organs are there to work to break down food and supply nutrients. So food is good, we can get by with much less than we eat but yeah food isn’t the enemy. It’s processed junk, chemicals and the toxins we’re exposed to. It’s hard to get away from it but it’s not impossible but you have to be willing to spend a lot more money for healthy options if you want to eat the best. It would be better to eat the best and eat less than to eat more and become a bore 😂

Powerful civilisations of old did eventually crumble as they weren't of real peace and so too will our own unless drastic and lasting change be brought about. In spite of all that we take or accept as fact it is vital to maintain an exceptionally open mind on things for the sake of the possibility of living in genuine peace and harmony with oneself and all 🌿 🕊 🙏 💚 💛

@Pavan Kumar it's what happens when a society becomes so generally wealthy and secure. People without meaning try to invent meaning. The trouble is that many low intelligence people who can't adapt their quest for purpose in to anything genuinely useful find themselves in some nonsensical lifestyle such as this. Compulsory military service might set things straight in my opinion.

My kid had some stomach flu when she was little, couldn't eat for nearly a week. I sat by her bed and fed her water with a spoon. Couldn't eat as long as she couldn't. We were both kind of weak when she suddenly turned for the better. Yeah, I know today how stupid that was. Should've taken her to the hospital, but it was my first kid and I had no experience of such things. I just knew she needed to drink water. Today, I wouldn't let my kids puke around for more than 24 h before I start calling medical assistance in some form. Learn from life, folks.

Anyone can go far longer without food than water, that's a given. It was many years ago, and I was a hefty guy at the time, but I went on a 40 day fast. I didn't eat any food, but I did take daily vitamins and drank various pure juices, v8, and obviously lots of water during that time to ensure my body got the necessary nutrients to survive. At the end of the 40 days I went to the doctor and had myself checked out thoroughly. Though I felt fine, many friends and family said I looked sick (though I'm certain it was just because they weren't used to seeing me so thin). They did multiple tests and confirmed I was in the best shape I'd ever been in my life. The human body is a resilient thing most of the time and can adjust to many circumstances as long as they aren't too extreme. But also each person is unique having various strengths, weaknesses, and other variables still unaccounted for even in modern science. (Another important note is I didn't just decide, hey, I'll do 40 days right away. I tested my body, first a few days, then after some time, a week, then eventually 2 weeks. I gauged my body myself, and had myself also checked out by a professional each time (once reaching the week and 2 weeks). The important keys in doing anything, whether it be eating (or not), working out, exercising, ect... with your body is to listen to your body when it tells you something is wrong, and in the case of any extreme issues, always have a professional follow up with an examination as well, because sometimes we lie to ourselves to get the results we think we need). Anyway, just figured I'd share, not that anyone will read this absurdly long comment anyway. ;)

I’m an eastern ascetic guy, not a full-time monk or anything. But lots of beliefs that come from the east, are not requirements. There different paths that some find helpful. TLDR avoid the extreme stuff if someone pushes the idea that messing up the physical body to gain something spiritual. Don't listen to them, they are selling something. Besides if a teacher can convince you to see a harmful thing as a good thing. That's step one in, indoctrination and probably that person is running a cult.
