3D technology is no stranger to change and progress because, over time, 3d software went from only the ability to show wireframe models in the viewport to now the ability of real-time rendering, which is a huge jump. Let's check the next generation in today's video!

    You should address the hardware too...when I started, no machine was capable of doing things in real time, even tho we could make pretty impressive things...with the right amount of time and with a monster of a pc and a render farm (if you could afford to assembly one) now a days you can work in a decent lap top...it's not just about the software but yes they help specially having that there are specialty softwares even though most of the main 3d softwares can do almost everything...(modeling, sculpting, texturing and lightning, physical simulations rendering and even composting)

    It's absolutely mind blowing how far we've come. We are getting so close to real-time graphics where we can't tell the difference from reality. If you look at some of these fully path traced games (especially modded) or Unreal engine with its Nanite and Lumen and how beautiful the graphics are compared to what used to take hours per frame not too long ago. How long do you think it will take untill top of the line consumer Pc's will be able to run virtual reality games that we almost can't distinguish from reality? If you look at a.i. Accelerated hardware and software making rendering cheaper and using both eye tracking and foveated rendering I'm guessing it won't take more than 10 years from now.

    I have plasticity, still learning it, but i'm liking it a lot. Nic is planning to add direct surface editing in the 2.0 release (basically editing surface curvature with control points, the same way splines and curves are edited). The blender live-link plugin (which is free) is also a bonus. As for the fluid and fire simulation programs, i'll have to look into those.

    @@DeltaNovum the indie version can import/export obj, step, iges (i think), parasolid and stl files. Studio can handle a couple extra formats. There is also the blender bridge (a free plugin for blender), which is a live one-way link to blender that sends your models from plast to blender for uving, rigging and rendering, and any changes you make in plasticity while the link is active will be automatically reflected in blender.

    @@myxsysdepends on what you are looking for as well and the pricing being for perpetual whereas Houdini indie albeit cheaper is not perpetual. On-top of that for 3d like most things time = money and you will save a lot of time with embergen, liquigen and so forth. They are not at all as complex and have a lot less features but depending on what you are aiming for it would be significantly more worth your time using embergen. For that reason neither is really a better tool as they focus on completely different things, speed and ease with both building and simulating the VFX there is nothing faster than embergen but for complexities, complete control and many years of development Houdini is the one but neither can compete with each other's specialties.

    Cascadeur: Starts at 99$ a year for indie license. Whole suite of JangaFX: $400 for an indie license that includes one year of software updates (subsequent updates need 190 a year). Plasticity: $150 for indie license plus one year of updates. There's a free addon that adds CAD to Blender. It's newish, but it's growing. There are other addons for blender that also do visual effects for water and fire.

    The problem with people becoming animators lies with the human, not the software. In the past, if something was difficult, we rose to the occasion and learned to master the subject. Skilled animators do not need AI. As a beginner a prospective should be trying to learn, not seek short-cuts however it’s clear what that is really about. Learning new things is not comfortable. In fact it requires us to exist outside of our comfort zones and think differently. Some of us love that challenge and others don’t but regardless of what your position is, the burden is required. Too many people are looking for short-cuts instead of developing skills.

  • @ComplexAce

    @ComplexAce

    I'm actively using Cascadeur, I actually streamed my animation process a couple times the quality of the AI is limited to something like unclean mocap if you don't know what you're doing, or something like Skyrim in terms of games (that's what I work on), VERY generic but if you're experienced, the quality skyrockets to something of NieR Automata's caliber, only much faster to make animations with it, eventually more work gets done in short: it's a booster, not a replacement, and I don't use any advanced auto tools till I'm sure the animation flow and posing/timing is feeling good without them, otherwise, no amount of auto sim will clean up the bad shit I made but it's hell of a time saver for secondary motion or even tweaking some physics (while the timing is under consideration, you manually set everything, it doesn't auto right without markers/poses you set) I think people will have to learn the basics anyway if they want to make exactly what they wanted.

  • @anitawhale1013

    @anitawhale1013

    3 ай бұрын

    @@vincestevenson9430You're right, healthcare applications are crucial, but I'm thinking about the bigger picture, the potential of AI to reshape our world entirely. In that sense, I still believe Casaduer stands out. While other implementations like early disease detection offer immediate benefits, they don't fundamentally change how AI interacts with the world. Casaduer, on the other hand, pushes the boundaries of what AI can do, showcasing its ability not just to learn and perform tasks, but to truly understand and adapt. "you can do crazything's in that software" This is why I see it as a landmark achievement, a glimpse of what AI could become. It's both exciting, holding immense potential for progress. But AI being used the way's you mentioned highlights the potential dangers of unchecked AI development, especially when it comes to issues of bias, lack of transparency, and potential job displacement. While early disease detection and other applications are undeniably beneficial, they raise concerns about who controls this powerful technology and how it could be misused. cascdeur does have some bias towards physically accurate animations but in this app you can say fuck it Am going do a cartoonish style and am going to 100% still use the AI tools. butt Guess what try using google with copilot it'll tell you that does not exist if it can That's why I believe Casaduer should be a learning point, a benchmark for responsible AI development. We need to embrace the potential for good while acknowledging the risks. So yes I stand by words CASCADUER IS THE BET IMPLEMENTATION OF AI YET
