These Men Love Extraordinarily Dull Things | Short Film Showcase
Ойын-сауық
"Dull, but not boring," is the motto of the Dull Men’s Club, a place in cyberspace for those who appreciate the simple and commonplace things in life. By slowing down to celebrate the ordinary, these men provide a refreshing alternative to a world dominated by the fast pace of modern living. Directed by Andy Oxley of Screen 3 Productions, this delightful short takes a look at the dull things around us and the interesting men who love them.

These are my kind of people.
Seneca, Emerson amongst other great philosophers would greatly approve of these men who are essentially enjoying life. They are not bedazzled by the extraordinary but rather the more frequent in life ordinary which is much more difficult. Cheers for this my friends.
Im 23 but I feel like an old man. In my mind I can find many things funny and I can enjoy extremely dull things. Stuff like that just makes me happy, and thats what its all about
I found this film extremely exciting. I must be dull. How do I join the Dull Men's Club?

this isn't dull nothing wrong with appreciating the simple things in life, also, taking in the full beauty of what life has to offer, this has history and class in it.
This video was amazing. My new favourite youtube video of all time. I especially liked the elevator scene (11:05) you can tell from the camera angles that he went down at least 3 times. I bet that was a great day for him, having an excuse to go up and down multiple times.

I wish I watched it on a Sunday afternoon. Great clip.
It's like playing Pokemon Go but instead of collecting Pickachu they collect pictures of post boxes and round abouts. So to be honest most of us are as dull as these nice folks.
I enjoy the everyday things. Like laying in the grass at night and looking at the stars. old abandoned buildings , old stuff of any kind..bottles , pipes , buttons etc to and people think im weird..but ii think their weird to not enjoy everything in life...even the simple , forgotten and old things , i like to think of how many peoples llives these items touched and what they were going through at the time..

Christina Parker i enjoyed being alone with the nature. Along seaside, on a hill, walking around the grassfield, gazing stars, hiking etc etc. I think with nature is more relaxing than spending time with people..
There are some beautiful shots in this that could very well pass as art... Especially the shots with the mailboxes and the roundabouts were quite gorgeous
Respectable
This video will help me with an exciting article I'm writing on documentary makers who film men doing dull things.
These people aren't dull. They just have different passions. They are quite vibrant in their own way.
These guys live a more exciting life than mine.

Dad: hey son! Can you help me get these post box coordinates in my gps? Son: whaaaaa?!?!
So much to love and appreciate in this world. These people are nothing but dull.
honestly, this is truly delightful. they’re passion makes up for the “dullness” of their hobbies.
Thats exciting! Its not dull at all. You will find it precious and miss the pictures you have taken as times gone by, everyhting have changed and you have shots those memories 3 or even more yrs ago! What if somehow you moved to somewhere else on the earth for reasons and stayed in the new place for years or even permanent. You will miss all those "dull" pictures: the streets, peace and harmony you gained years ago but now you are not going to get to that back due to your older age, busy time etc etc.. Every moments captured is precious! You just thought it is "typical" in your life but it wont in 10-20yrs to come..
Really digging this video. My brother and I loved old gates and I still do. I mean hiking about and coming across an old decaying gate is a real doorway (no pun intended) into another time and space. Dull to many but darn good to us....Mark
This was great, goes to show that you can love the simple things in life.
This is about as feel-good as it gets. I have a Dad that would fit right in; bless him.
"its a dull place in cyber space" had me smile today ......that's how dull my day was.

As a society, we NEEDED the apostrophe protection society!
I love it! There is much to be said for being dull.
We had a TV programme in Belgium called "Man bijt Hond" (Man bites Dog). In one part of it, they would just follow people in their daily lives, then change to a new person when they encountered them. It took them trough many towns across the country-and they met a lot of "dull" people along the way.
"Dull but not boring". I love that idea. I like to have my life exciting but with great dull moments
ALL THE HURLEY BURLEY AND HUMBLE BUMBLE BOO!!!!
"Robotic Fascist Traffic Lights" LMFAO 2:52

The background music gave it a Napoleon Dynamite vibe to it!
