It's so good seeing young men killing it in the building trades!! Those guys are fearless and look like they have been doing this for decades!!! There is faith in our next generation!!!

This crew is so admirable in the way they perform their jobs. You always hear how young guys nowadays don't want to work. Not these guys! We need more like them!!

Now that's a crew and builder worth using. Non-stop action, outstanding preparation, planned to perfection, and a great advertisement for their company. Young men at their best.

One major injury, and the company will be forced by insurance to use lifts, which will increase the cost of projects. After seeing this video, they might not wait for the injury.

Definitely. I have a building that hasn't had doors on it for 2 years now. Bird nests to knock down daily, hornet nests to spray every week or so... Don't even get me started on the carpenter bees. I really need to put doors on it, but I really want to put a floor down first.

#1 morning my 3 cents is to have them put in a sliding barn door in between , u can keep closed and open it when & if u need or want 2 use it .

They have balls of steel working like that. Grafters for sure, but at those heights, it’s a bit crazy to not have kind of safety in place. Confident workers with no fear at all 💪🏻

Iron-balls won't prevent a worker from falling from the roof, hope that none of them will understand the probabilities too late

I am pretty cavalier when it comes to my own health and safety and have a collection of scars to prove it, but your contractors take this to a new level, one slip from that height and there a good chance you are spending the rest of your life in a wheelchair - if you survive the fall.

You should have a scissor lift on this job. I can't believe this is filmed and posted online with no regard for safety. A scissor lift would be way faster and safer.

Great crew, fast workers but all it takes is one slip and it s over…hope you checked if they were bonded and insured prior to hire them. If it weren’t my property I would be going nuts over such lack of concern for safety. Better men than them have fallen and never walked again…

Adam, it’s magnificent! covered saw mill area, lots of machine storage, shop space, just wow! Hope you go over the costs when they are all tallied up.

Thats how we did it 20 plus years ago,,,, if the safety inspector rocked up,, they would take us to town lock up,,,, and charge us over 100 000 in fines

Glad you gave the information about the builders at the end. I am about an hour south of Greenville, well within their maximum area of travel. Close enough to consider them for a future pole building build we are considering.

You’re going to have fun coming up with different layout options. I question the lack of roof sheathing though. It’s going to be an amazing space.

It’s amazing how fast these things go. With most building, it’s the finish work that takes forever. Lot of worker safety violations though… fall protection, ppe with the chainsaw, no gloves handling the metal roofing (those edges can be nasty), etc. That’s a huge building!

I would definitely put a roll up or sliding door in the opening on the end. Still enclosed but very handy if needing access to the inside.

I would consider some kind of roll-up door in the middle for access. Both sides, sawmill & run in. Mower, Quad, mini skid?

This reminds me of an OWTM project. As you said several years ago, Mike Morgan has cost you a lot of money. LOL

Stack the longer boards from the sawmill against the back wall of scissor truss area. Make or buy a material rack. You could box in 10' of that area to be a solar kiln. Having a clean work site is wonderful. I hate tripping over clutter. Especially when the clutter doesn't need to be there.

These guys are great, however, NO SAFETY EQUIPMENT.

MAAAAAAANNNN, You're absolutely Lucky you live where you do. Those contractors working like they are at the beginning of this vid Wouldn't At All get away with the way they are hoisting themselves and the lumber up to the mounting points of the frames here in So. Cal. Its so regulated that local state and county law enforcement, and city code inspectors driving around and should they see that kind of work practices being used, can and will shut down the work site. If the homeowner or building contractor has a pulled permit that permit is suspended pending the OSHA Review board. If there's no work permit somebody's going to pay a fine and could go to jail.

What state in the US is this shed being constructed? I’m sure most other States would not allow this. A simple slip or sudden gust of wind would be a widow maker. It was hard to watch.

Looking good! Why not put a small Roll Up door in That opening no to the saw mill area. Seems like it would really handy at times.

It will never be large enough unfortunately. I am pretty sure when you were talking about figuring out where your stuff should go it wasn't as much of a guessing game as you led on. There is lot's of forethought going into this that is obvious. Sometimes plans change though when the space starts filling though that's for sure. It's kind of interesting to see some construction where there is a certain amount of danger accepted by highly skilled people.

Impressive build, well done. Have you any plans to pipe/collect the rain water away from this building , that roof will collect a lot of water and maybe trigger mud and local drainage issues. Time yet to do what is maybe needed.

Hi Adam. Since your new works so fast can you put a time on the video when it's in time lapse? It would be fun to see what time of day it was on each step.

I googled their address and they are 2 hrs and 4 minutes from my house. Hopefully the 4 minutes won’t deter them 😂! Thanks for the information!

I'd think the biggest reason you'd want the sawmill end of the building closed would be to keep debris from blowing or migrating from the sawmill area to the interior. Sawdust on everything would be a headache.

Put a sliding door in the sawmill end.

These guys are young and real pros, but it made my stomach queasy while watching due to safety concerns.

Adam, what about lift? When I built my barn I had to pour concrete with anchors under the post to keep the barn from lifting. This was due to the height and to prevent wind lift. I did not see this here, any engineering done on this?
