Still trying to repair/replace bullnose drywall corners. Just a DIY person but needs to repair lots of wheelchair damage. HELP!

I've owned a mud pan for years, my last project i bought a hauk. I like it better but a small learning curve. However I am still to anal for dry wall i want it done on the first pass. ( Yes i know not possible), but that's how my brain works.

I can relate. What I figured out came from my time as a cement finisher. You can't get a really smooth pass on a slab in one try. You've got to let it harden between coats and then go over it again (maybe more than once). With concrete trying to make the first pass perfect is worse than pointless. You wind up losing the slab if you don't get it done quickly enough. I still wipe off boogers and such because I don't sand between coats, but I've developed enough muscle memory to mud without needing touch up.

I was wondering about the corner roller. Even a hand finish guy will benefit from a roller (inside and outside for setting bead) without breaking the bank. What I didn't see was a compound tube. I've tried everything except a bazooka, and found a tube/applicator followed by a roller and flusher (I've moved on to angle heads now) by far the fastest way to tape angles. I got probably 80% of the benefit of semi-auto tools at a fraction of the cost. Of course being a tool junkie I would up buying the rest, except the bazooka, but if I was starting over I'd get hand tools and a tube kit.
