These Dresses Cost Thousands Of Dollars! | Baby Ballroom

This week, we learn the importance of presentation in Ballroom as we follow Mia and Andrei to London for a dress fitting. Meanwhile, Max and Olivia also get in on the action with a fitting of their own while Jamie and Mia head to the manufacturers to get their dancing shoes fitted to their every requirement.
Get the glitter and the sequins at the ready for a brand new journey into the world of Ballroom dancing through the doors of extraordinary school Zig Zag Dance Factory. Run by husband and wife and former champions dancers, Warren and Jane Bullock, kids from as young as 8, partner up and dance their way across the floor.

The two Mias looked really good with the professional makeup. The heavier make up for the dancing is stage make up and works well for that brightly lit stage.

I wonder why these youngsters aren't in some kind of ballet instruction? It would definitely help with the graceful movement and positioning of their hands and feet.

Beauty standards vary by culture, household, and person maybe the culture or the person doesn't care?? Some dental issues may necessitate braces but I'm sure most people commenting on her teeth only care because they think someone's appearance is an appropriate thing to comment on or has any weight on a person's value. The girl is 14 years old, leave her and her teeth alone. There is nothing wrong with her being in her body the way it is and if she needs or wants braces that's for her and her family to decide.

The Angela woman is annoying and loud. She wants to be on camera. Olivia has a fantastic attitude. The Mia's looked beautiful with their more natural makeup. At the competition the Mia of Andrei and Mia looked much older with her heavy makeup.

The poor makeup artists in the store were just trying to give them make up appropriate for their age. I thought both of them were a few years older than they actually were when they walked in! They looked a lot more natural afterwards. Sad that they feel they have to be caked in heavy makeup whenever they go out to look ok. These girls are probably going to end up with major body image problems if they don't already.

The expense is ridiculous. Children shouldn’t be judged by the dress their parents can afford. Put them all in the same performance costumes.

Maybe she doesn´t want to, who knows. When I was a kid, my mother offered me to have braces to straighten one tooth of mine that is a little askew. I just didn´t want to, I liked my tooth as it was. Many years later, I still don´t regret it. It isn´t that bad and is part of me. Could also be that Mia has to grow a little bit more before she gets braces, sometimes that is the case. We shouldn´t judge. 💖 Besides, she is a stunning and talented girl.

Might be a cultural thing. They might just not care. Whereas here in the States it's looked at as if you don't take care of yourself. Might not be that way in UK.

Braces are not just for appearance sake. As a dental professional, I can assure you that incorrectly aligned teeth cause many problems in later years. The parent needs to make the decisions re. the child's healthcare. Would a parent say that it is OK if they can't see well in school but don't want to wear glasses? We need to act like adults…

Most high school kids stay up till 1 am or later watching TV or doing other non productive stuff. I have a feeling you wouldn't feel so harsh about that because it's more normal to you. These kids do not look miserable nor does it seem their parents are bullying them to do this. Chill.
